Okay. The Rosch Limit is the distance one planetary or stellar body can remain from another before it starts getting torn to pieces by the gravity of the other body. It has nothing to do with thermodynamics.

Yeah, some times you can tell whoever the author is, they don't really know what the terms they are using actually mean. Especially obvious when (most) get into engineering topics. That's when I turn off the ol' critical thinking module and try to just enjoy the story lol

E=MC² As the Energy produced increases, it would generate greater and greater gravitational effects on the surrounding space. Eventually, the effect would become non-negligible and the powered device and planet would have to be calculated as an orbital system. The device would be exerting greater and greater force on the planet due to gravitational distortion which would begin shearing pieces off once the Roche Limit of the device extends far enough. This would also apply to any connecting cables used to transfer power. So, at a certain max threshold, the gravitational effect caused by all the energy being produced would create _such_ a strong differential shear force that, depending on the durability of the cables used, they'd just snap under the strain. *That* is why orbital body dynamics apply here; because orbital mechanics derive from gravity, gravity derives from the bending of spacetime, and energy bends spacetime.

Short an cute story. An kinda making sense. I see it. Or them. Some of it anyway. Just looking at the thing. The parts. With a, I get this. Does/did that. An this maybe similar to. Suddenly a picture, of an event forms in your mind. An I can explain it. Sort of. Practically writes itself. Parents/aliens knowing kids/monsters destroyed perfect universe/kitchen.

This could be used only in the vacuum. Like I ignore sci-fi BS of this. Just on the basis of it's function you could not put it anywhere in the open because it would suck all heat from everything around it. And depending on how violent this reaction would be it could be catastrophic.
