I agree with Jason. The excitement of watching skateboarding never dies. I haven’t skated since ‘97 but still watch the progression in complete amazement.

Another under rated kickflip is Dustin dollin. His flicks are some of the quickest out there. They spin so quick with such little effort

Style: kirchart, no doubt. Not only his famous flip over the hydrant, but in general. The way he catches the board while still moving up in the air... perfection.

Andrew Reynolds’s Davis gap kick flip is the greatest ever in my opinion. The size of the gap, the style, his age and determination at that time period.

The Ryan Sheckler kick flip over the Costco gap in 2008 is the only answer to this question, I get that people don't like him but that trick was legendary

For 360 flips Stefan Janoski would be one for me, but Antwon Dixon's flatground tre in the first line of his Baker 3 part is legendary, it's perfect.

Nick Trapasso's kickflip in Volcom Let's Live down the grass gap. So tweaked and effortless (**ninja style looking), best kickflip hands down. Ever. Also, Enzo Cautela's kickflip down the 20 stair might be in a close tie with Trapasso's just because of how clean it was.

I have so little knowledge of any of it myself, but I feel as mesmerized watching these guys break down tricks as I assume a lot of people get watching hours of post game replays from whatever sports ball they enjoy.

Jeremy Wray is the king of kickflips. I saw him do a kickflip off a high embankment at the 118 demo over a uhaul truck. Not sure if anyone got that on video.

Listening to these men is like listening to a foreign language to me, but I can feel their passion for this art. Its inspiring.

I love Mike Vallely’s kickflip in a line in his Public Domain part. He just gets it done as part of a sketchy line but it’s one trick after another and it’s great to watch.

Kenny Anderson effortless floating kick flips can’t be beat

Loved Jason mentioned Stevie Williams & the connection to Jazz, when we used to just skate without thought out line's, impromptu doing one trick and seeing where it takes you to the next. Jason's comparison to Jazz with that is spot on!

Eric Pupecki actually kickfliped the Gonz gap first, but Gonz got it on film first.

I’m not sure if Jason Lee was a pro back then, but some time in the late 80’s, I saw him do a kickflip over a kicker ramp that was butted up to the Oceanside stage, off the stage. He first had to clear the bottom of the kicker, which was sticking up 18” above the stage. When he rode across the stage and popped up over it, his board just looked like his shoes had magnets on them. He had cleared that height, stuck it to his feet, and dropped the remaining 6ft to perfectly land it. The board never moved once it had hit his soles. Thanks for the memory, Mr. Lee.

Heath Kirchart Erick Pupecki from Menace tells a really good story about that Gonz kick flip in SF.

Not many people will remember this kickflip, but my favorite is in the friends section of Zero Thrill of It All at the 9:20 mark. I'm not even sure who it is, but it's a thing of beauty.

My vote for best kickflip is a short clip from Mike Rosa in Logic 7 or 8 maybe. He kickflips a make-shift Home Depot step ladder ramp thing(which are pretty tall), it flips slowly and he catches it at the peak and just floats the whole thing effortlessly. The music syncing with it also complements it very well.

Dustin Dollin has the fastest flick for sure and the way he does it into rails is ridiculous. Gotta give it to luan though

Evan Smith’s Kickflip at the end of The Evan Smith Experience is one of the best. It’s sort of like the Kalis kickflip where it’s boned out and then he irons it out with the back foot. It’s also fucked because the gap is huge and he has to go up over a bar from flat. So beast.

The best kickflip I've seen was done in the video Fallen Ride the Sky by James Hardy. He does this tweaked and perfectly caught kickflip over a grass gap. In my 17 years of skating, that was one of if not the best kickflip i will ever seen.
