If you're gonna mention the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement it's worth mentioning the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, mainly the S8 ultra but the S8+ can also almost be a laptop replacement
S8 ultra def replaced my work laptop. We use web based program and can properly milti task. Feels like Tech chap became a wee bit of an apple fanboy these days
@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 my Galaxy S3, S5, Note 10, Tab 10.1, and Tab S3 didn't explode. My Tab S7+ and S22+ are nowhere close to exploding. Arun is just gaslighting.
I was hoping to see numbers in a list too. Weight, battery life, performance, screen brightness / refresh rate... The video turned out to be an overview
@@itsloganbtw5355 It's common to see the Asus S13 getting 15-16 hrs on a charge. It has an OLED display, so it does sacrifice on battery life there (OLEDs are power hungry), but if Asus added an IPS option it could be a contender for the top spot.
The Asus Zen 14 is definitely really good. Never knew having a second screen was a game changer. Hell I can't even process how much it was easier to navigate through my laptop.
As a systems engineer, sometimes find myself using the reviewed Dell XPS and the HP 15-eg2055cl, and I hate them equally. Light reflection! Flatness of the keyboards! And, the spacing of the keys makes for a frustrating experience in inefficiency. Lenovo's keyboard is the standard others should be measured by. I also use the LG Gram and find it to be well made and acceptable.
I have a Lenovo laptop; my keyboard broke, have to use an external keyboard on a laptop. Spent a lot of money on this machine and is the worst keyboard I have ever used. So my experience is very different than yours.
the samsung book pro 360 is the best especially if you own a samsung phone. the samsung apps on the laptop make it a cut above the rest also it has a stunning super oled display! . Mac with M2 if your a apple user!. the Lenovo yoga i9 4k oled is another laptop with a awesome display!
I've got a Lenevo duet chromebook 10inch 1200p screen n got free removeable keyboard n back stand, I got it for 196 quid in UK, unbelievable value n is best laptop/tablet I've used, has a few bugs in tablet mode but I never take the keyboard off
Well, I'm into travel for work a lot and like to keep my stuff away from company's laptop. Plus in the carry-on everything counts. I'm into the tech as well, so to me multi-tasking is not Twitter + YT on the same screen. Problem with current industry is that we consider light something that's over 1kg while we actually must consider light everything that is under 1kg. And research shows that there's not that much of options. Lenovo X1 Nano, iPad Pro + Folio/Magic Keyboard maybe we can also add Surface Pro to the club but that's actually it. Currently having M1 iPad. iPad's OS is a joke, their Stage Manager is a piece of shit. No native support of anything that's more suitable for more that being a "creative hipster" and "notes taker". But no decent IDE for running some basic code locally, or native SSH to connect to network environment and Excel/Word is just a joke. Also afaik apple forces every browser to use safari's rendering engine ... Even when you use Apple's made folio - it shows some dumb ribbon on the screen. But when it comes to portability and paired with some third-party half-working tools you can get something to suit "on the go" scenario. Apple is flashing around with their laptop-grade processor that we can't leverage because iPad OS can't do anything PRO other than some sketching for artists.
It‘d be better to include reference prices for each of these as their specifications and prices vary. The one that can fit your budget & need is the best.
No HP Laptop made the cut? I'm a huge fan of the Hp Envy, Spectre and Elitebook line, they look good and perform well, wonder why not even one got on this list.
I use the Ellitebook 840 G8 at work. Nice, but nothing extraordinary about it. The best thing about it is easy to modify the specs (RAM & SSD). They gave me 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD.
Thank you for the review. I always find these topics of interest to me because this category is what fits my requirements thin and light laptops. All of your choices seem to fit easily into this laptop category except the Apple iPad Pro. Why even include it into this product into this group of thin and light laptops and not include Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. I would not include these tablets due to their base design being derived from a mobile operating system platform IOS and Android. That said, I can understand many people find that their iPad or Galaxy Tab can perform all of the computing tasks they require such as web surfing, email, texting, productivity apps and light gaming. I do not believe based on my experience that traditional tablets from IOS or Android are ready at this time to replace laptops today for the full experience and capabilities.
What the hell tom, you should've uploaded this a week ago. I just ordered an lenovo thinkpad carbon gen 9 a week ago!!!!! 🤣🤣 should i cancel it and buy an xps instead???
I have the dell xps 13 9310. For a thin and light laptop that cost $2k at the time of purchase the Webcam is absolute trash. They took out the camera of the iPhone 1 and put it in this thing.
I think the huawei matebook xpro is the best one because it does not have major drawbacks excellent design premium material good stunting screen good battery mand charger The most important is the ability to combine with huawei phone and tablet which i have a very good experience
Apple’s pricing was always high but it’s got much worse lately, at least in the UK. If anyone’s after a MacBook, I’d highly recommend the M1 Air over anything else, even if it seems “outdated”. Amazing laptop and more than sufficient for 90% of people. Had mine for a year and a half now and I still love it - the battery life still amazes me to this day. I’m a student and I love not having to hunt around for a socket at uni, it makes such a big difference. Alongside studying, I also have an income source that relies entirely on my laptop. So I could financially justify getting myself a much more expensive laptop but I wouldn’t even consider it. So happy with my M1 Air.
I've used macs since the 90s when they were once the only usable desktop for graphics due to industry standards, in the days before easy cross-compatability. I've tried on at least three occasions to switch to non-Apple laptops/desktops since 1998, mostly to try to get something cheaper, and no matter what I tried, it never compared. Most recently, in 2018, it became clear that to get anything close to the quality of a MacBook Pro, you have to spend a ton of money anyway, so might as well bump up slightly for the Macbook Pro, because the user experience is just so much smoother, and I always know what i'm getting. I know I can trust every component, every aspect of the machine to work and deliver high quality, with strong customer service if there ever is a problem (in almost 30 years I think i've encountered maybe 3 issues?). I don't think i'll try switching again.
Consider the base entry level macs with the apple silicone are now very good, i think the price is arguably good in value if not cheaper than the last breath of intel macs.
@@v_stands_for_value124 funnily enough I’m writing this on an iPhone 13 PM I bought a few days ago for this very reason. Spent all this time waiting for the 14s and ended up getting a 13 PM 😂
I willnlt buy a laptop that doesn't have a end home and forward delete button. These are the most used button by pro users. These youtube content creators won't understand this
When I was going off to college, I wanted a 15in laptop that I could also game on. Another category that I absolutely wanted was a 2-in-1 because I didn't have to carry around 2 computers. So that left me with between Samsung and HP, and HP had the newer, at the time, a processor with AMD. AMD processors had better heat dispersion and battery life, so I chose the HP, specifically the Hp Envy X360 15. With the student discount, I got it for about $1100, which is an excellent price for what I was getting. It also came with HDMI, 2 USB-a ports, and a full-sized sd reader with upgradable storage. So HP is an excellent choice for students. The specter line is too expensive for what you were getting over the Envy. So including the Envy line would be much appreciated.
Good luck. My Envy x360 13 quite literally fell apart in less than three years and the Ryzen 7 never performed up to its specs. Worst PC I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few over the past 30 years.
Hard choise. But Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 15 inches, maybe it would be mine. Since you've included the iPad Air/Pro, why not include the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra or Plus? They include DeX and Android also has editing apps or Office apps. No Surface?? Neither Laptop nor Book nor Pro??
hi everyone! can i please ask for an advice? im planning to buy myself a laptop but im confused between getting a macbook or windows. i wanted something that would last me for a couple of years, and use it for business too. im thinking of getting a mac, since i also have an iphone 13 pro but honestly i dont know which one to choose (ive never had a macbook haha) . which do you think would last longer - mac or windows? what would you guys recommend? thank you guys! 😊❤
ive had both mac and windows laptops that ive used for about 5-7 years each. depending on what type of work you will need to be doing i have found that the UI for mac is a lot more user friendly and overall easier to use but some software and program are harder to get if you are using a mac, pc on the other hand has an easier time getting software and applications to run. If you only need a computer for doing daily tasks and you know the type of apps need for work will work on a mac go for it. if your not sure what programs you might need in the future go for windows. i didnt mention connecting your phone with the computer because i think thats the last thing you would need to worry about. mac would probably last longer than windows but i think you will be upgrading way before that would even matter
No offense but u guys pick the ones off the shelf I believe there are dozens of " not gaming " laptops in the categories of " professionals " or " workstation " u can speck out...would be a better deal and a heck of an adventure. Ik they are ugly but there is d-brand !
Great options btw👍 but I'd like to add a suggestion for this video. For the "Chapters" or different sections to be named the laptop for convenience (I've watched a lot of laptop ranking lists recently so I wanted to quuckly go through some of them again)
The Huawei Matebook X Pro is by far the best ultra-premium laptop on the market. The finish is second to none, screen is stellar, audio is outstanding and it just feels great. Huawei has checked all boxes in this laptop. It's not cheap but worth every cent.
Absolutely, just that most reviewers hate admitting it, or just have some hidden agenda. Also the Matebook 14s and 16s are top of the line and no way any other laptop checks as many boxes.
You sound like a bot... No details and just biased fiction facts LOL.. then you have a second account replying to it with the exact same personality hahahah
@@aoh4905 there you go saying things without using your brain or at least eyes. I am in agreement with everything Hosh said because I own several Huawei and Honor products but also Samsung and Appple. For me, at this point Huawei/Honor and Xiaomi are the best tech to go for in a lot of scenarios. Believe what you want actually, not like I care about you being a hater. I can't be in agreement with a guy over tech because some Samsung pathetic fanboy pops out of a mud hole. Buzz off !
Does the Zenbook S 13 even qualify if it's not being sold? I mean, Asus is using you for advertising their brand basically as they have this apparently very good product no one but reviewers and influencers can get their hands on... Sounds like marketing only or a concept product to me
If you don't need anymore one of those loptop you have, I am willing to accept. And I will use with love and care 😍 😁 ... can you please give me one of those 😊🙏
The Lenovo Yoga feels like a cheap toy when compared to the Matebook X Pro. I am a long time Lenovo user/fan (currently owning a Thinkpad Yoga X1 - supposed to be the top of the line in Lenovo laptops). If you don't need the "pen" (the only extra in the Thinkpad high end models) I would definitely recommend the Matebook X Pro.
OLED is so dumb on a PC. It's not a matter of if you get burn in, it's only a matter of when. Queue the fanboys claiming "But mine has been great, the technology has improved!" Been hearing that for a long time now. 2-3 years later we inevitably find out it really didn't improve much.
My name is Reagan am twelve years old from Kenya kajiado,am very interested in ICT already I have a scratch sponser from Caroline's USA plz how can you assist me with one laptop to expand my carrier plz I will be so great full, looking forward to hear from you positively
I've been on the fence to buy a laptop lately....i never had the need to use a pc/laptop growing up...i had an old school boxy PC where theres a dial tone to connect to the internet when i was a kid😂... since then...i didnt need a computer...im not tech savy but i could survive with just my phone...but now...as i have my own money and all...i could buy one...but i dont know if i need one...gaming wise im not a gamer...i just game from time to time but not always...im just afraid if do buy one...i dont use it as often an it will be kinda a waste then...anybody could share your opinion on whether i should buy one???
Hello Mr The Tech Champ, my name is Samuel and one of your subscribers. Recently my laptop was stolen and currently not in position to afford one and I kindly appeal that you assist one in case you have one lying around. I would greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.
I have the galaxy book 360 and believe me its anightmare fan makes noises all the time and gets overheated that you can grill some sausages. You don’t believe google it everybody have this problem i don’t know how this Laptop can be on the market.
