This turned out perfect- and was my first try with my first (basic) cake mixer although I didn’t have the same whizzo looking tool as Chetna’s and used the two whisks that came with my mixer. I’ll next get your new book as this has inspired me.
Hi whenever I beat the eggs with the flour or like how u did my cake doesnt rise. The baking powder etc is all fresh. But when I beat my eggs separately the cake has a nice height. Please can u help me understand.

@@FoodwithChetna Yes, I understand. But why use self-rising flour at all? Simply use plain flour and the amount of baking powder you need for the recipe.
