@@dynamicworlds1 also the security ratings on master lock boxes are for the packaging, a security level 1 is a easy to open box and a security level 10 box is a hard to open box, the locks have nothing to do with the rating.
@@Sparmink its true, i confirm what i said a month ago, indeed the master lock security rating is for the packaging. since i got a master lock with a security rating of 3, the packaging was a bit painful to open but still easy, and i picked the lock in less than a second.

Imagine putting this lock on something significant to you, and then just finding your stuff gone, and this lock dissesembled and stacked neatly in a pile.
Or the lock is put back together neatly, so you check a security camera and they took it apart, took your stuff, and then put it back together perfectly with new additions making it impossible to take apart easily

@@user2C47 They're usually not bad engineers, and Chinese factories aren't always bad either. Both of them will just design/build to spec. If your criteria is based on a particular profit margin rather than a specific level of quality then they will design and build according to that, even if the resulting product is godawful crap. More money gets spent on marketing who make an upbeat video that avoids mentioning specs and away we go. If it's a Chinese company they will also likely improve the materials and design then resell the thing with their own branding. Then some politician will complain about Chinese IP theft. It's the circle of design.

Just wanted to drop a comment and say thanks. Was out of town working on a job site and had to get into our trailer that had a lock on it but no one had a key. I’ve seen enough of these videos to know that most locks can just be beat open. Sure enough it worked. Saved me a few hours and an embarrassing phone call 😂
On one hand people in the market for a lock can look at these channels to find the right one ..on the other hand way more criminals probably watch their channels to see exactly how to pick the locks ... Also I guess there's a few people in locksmith school or something lol
when you can hit a lock and break it, you basically failed everything you tried. its like making a burger but you "accidentally" put uranium in it, its harder to screw it up this bad than not.
