yep, GT650 the best, recomend putting on 2-1s, save weight, sounds great. Looking forward to getting a new Himalayan 450 as a stable mate in a couple of months 🙂
I have GT650 for almost 5 years and I am still amazed of it. It won't be my last bike, but I decided to keep it forever. Nice review from a nice place :-)
Great video and scenery and a brilliant bike. I test rode a white Continental GT when they first came out and agree with all your comments, it is such an easy and enjoyable bike to ride. I have a few bikes but recently bought a Hunter 350 ....... another brilliant bike from RE. All the best, Phil (Somerset, UK)
The bike that tempted me back to bikes. Euro4 2019 Mr Clean. Love every ride on the damn thing! Taking it on a tour of Ireland in the summer with four other friends and their bikes! 🙂
Looks like there is another RE fan on RU-vid! You're looking fit and healthy, I hope you are back to 100% again or was this before you were ill? Enjoy your "time-out" in sunny Teneriffe..., a place I have on my bucket list since seeing Freddie, and now you there. Have fun in the sun and ride safe, but don't forget Essex..., there are so many Potholes waiting to annoy you lol.
Im just about to order my first big bike. I've got my shortlist down to the Continental GT or a Suzuki SV650. Really hard to decide which to go for. Heart says the RE, head says the Suzuki. Help !
I have a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, I did a one week test on both the Interceptor and the Continetal GT before I decided as I love the looks of both bikes. Gotta say the GT is more about looks than actual ridability for me. I commute most days on my chosen bike. It's about a 20 - 25-minute ride to work. I'm 6ft 2, so fairly tall, and found the GT incredibly uncomftable. Seeing as I also enjoy long ride outs to visit family across the UK, it just didn't fit my needs. The Interceptor has a far more comtable riding position, and I can ride all day without issue. Your sort of leant for forward on the GT but not like a sports bike where its oddly comftable more just enough that your wrist and and back ache excessively.
I like the blue back light on the dash. I have test ridden the 650, it is a very nice motorcycle, but I brought a 2022 Pan Am Special in March 2023, Army green version, and I love it. My other bikes are a hotted up 1988 Lowrider Sport with a sidecar, 1971 Honda CB500 track bike (bored to a 600) and a 1974 Yamaha DT400 trail bike stripped and modified for vintage motocross. I feel lucky to have 4 bikes, I also feel sad that I sold a Moto Guzzi Mark V Le Mans in 1990 and a Yamaha ZX550 in 1989. Should have kept them :)
TomBoy The Royal Enfield GT feels very similar to my Triumph Thruxton R ergonomically. It is a bike that I can ride all day without feeling cramped unlike my Triumph 1200 Speed Triple RR which I can only ride for 30 minutes tops before I have to get off. Personally I love the sporty stance but is not good if you want to buy something somewhere and bring it home if it won't fit in a backpack. It's just made for riding sporty and having fun. If I want to be really comfy I ride my Triumph 1200 GT Explorer. Another great video Lady! I love your relaxing channel. 👍👍 Ride SAFE and BE safe! 🌹
Hope you bring us more videos like this. Will the only way that my eyes see the road this year...a car crashed into my right leg on Wednesday...3 broken bones!
It’s nothing comparing to the day when I did a trip to a volcano and the other side of the Island. I am a mother, I have to come back. Other ways I’d be always on the road.
Hey I'm new to your channel Tomboy🤠 i was searching for latest GT 650 reviews nd i found yours and really liked the video but I'd like to know; will it be difficult for someone residing nearby cross-country roads to own this spoke wheels version ? Or should i go for the alloy wheel version ? What's your take? British royal green looks great nd premium 🔥
Hey, welcome to my channel. If honestly I’d personally choose the wheels purely by the looks on bikes like this. Cleaning might be a little more precision required but a part from that. I saw people riding a knuckle with a spokes harder that others on GS. 🤷🏼♀️
the video below shows why himalayan 411 is the best bike to get lost with out of the three i.e DR 650s, KLR 650 :- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uYu0KUhwXmk.html
The right bike for these roads for sure. Enjoying this correct little racer, and be able to use it fully is way more fun than a wild horse that wants to take control, when all you do is hang on like a wild eyed monkey and miss the whole beautiful ride.
I just subscribed to your channel ,you have a nice laid back style ,and what a place to ride .I reviewed a green Conti GT myself , on a Royal Enfield day here in Warrington in November ,wet cold raining ,water on the cam lens ,i still loved the bike .Chris
Hope you are feeling better? That vlog made me start thinking of summer riding in the UK! Love the exhaust sound on them Royal Enfield's, but the Harley's remain top of my list. Safe riding Tomboy and be seeing you in the next one 👍.
Hey D, great to see you smiling and not shivering. Not jealous at all freezing our spuds off here in the UK.Granted the overall BHP of the 650 twins ain't huge, but any of the range (interceptor, conti gt,super meteor or shotgun and indeed any other future version) is guaranteed to make you happy. The amount of custom parts available makes a show stopper out of any one of them.Enjoy.
It IS a looker for sure! I totally agree with you, regarding the nicest stock retro caferacer…. I saw it first time @ intermot in 2018 i was impressed.. regarding caferacers, As i own a original, BSA DBD 34 clubman ‘60, a Guzzi LeMans 1 and a husky Vitpilen 701 it does not fill a “gap” for me.. when they do add another 20 bhp to it, though, it could save me some space (one bike) in my garage/shed ;-)
@@shaarodmahanta2473 yeah i know.. we are mechanics ourselves.. TBH a 650cc engine with only 40 isch BHP is not a very “developed” engine IMHO. I tend to think there is reason for that.. second to that, buying a brand new bike who needs a aftermarket kit (and add 200cc) to get the power it should have (as a 650) in the first place, not for me….
I've never ridden abroad, and I'm desperate to have another biking adventure like my trip to Scotland. I'm so pleased you managed to get some winter sun, and experienced these roads which look amazing! 🙌
