Payday 2 Sociopath melee build in 2020. So many perk decks in Payday 2 and so many new and returning players. This video is showcasing a Ice Pick melee build in 2020... with the IAHMA shotgun of course!
Utilizing the ice pick melee along with the sociopath perk deck to achieve a crazy melee damage build. So many melee variations and many different weapons to utilize. Melee is difficult on Death Sentence, and is really fun and good on lower difficulties. I do love the Katana melee but I did use that in my last melee video!

Sadly the max ammo you can get will be enough for 20 enemies lol... Even if you take two ammo bags, and utilize the 10 seconds of free ammo after refill, maybe 50-60 enemies? Not even on normal it will be enough to survive lol

Considering that you aren't going for concealment, you can prob switch out izhma to steakout for more ammo and to have a different weapon for once, also by doing so you can drop Close By skill. Outside of that i like meself at least single joker with melee, helps to be a little less of a turtle and takes off some attention from cops so you can get close and shmack them with your big, hard, dripping(with blood) katana.

Would like to see a melee secondary/primary in payday3. Sledgehammer for loud (bashing shields so on and smashing doors), katanna for loud/stealth mix and, a hunting knife for pure stealth.

So I use akimbo Krinkovs with Sociopath (almost the same build but with akimbo and optionally scavenger skills). My idea is that the ammo stats of Krinkovs don't have to bother you cause you can use your melee to get more ammo. If your afraid to kill a dozer with melee, use Krinkovs and even a minigun dozer is gone in less than a second. (you can also pick akimbo Jacket's piece to keep the Sociopath theme) It worked really well for me.

Yea mate, it's not easy. It's a different play style and if you play like normal, it's not fun LOL It's a blast on Mayhem and Overkill difficulty!

Ugh here we go... Considering the dmg reduction from sociopath, Underdog aced does litterally nothing for you, not a single break point is changed by this skill. Like the second comment says, stake out would be preferable to izhma here but please don't drop close-by I beg you. Jokers are needed for a build like this as to take the heat off of you and your team. Finally pumping iron isn't exactly required for a build like this as the melee boost from bloodthirst and the boost from sociopaths first card would fine for actually using the melee of this build, also sociopaths melee heal would screw with your zerk so meleeing isn't exactly something you want to do every time you see an enemy that you can melee. Save it for dozers or just as a panic button for that random heavy swat thats in your face whilst your reloading. Thats it, thank you.

Used to be a fan of croft, used to think he was a very good player. Guy barely knows anything, hell he doesn't even know what most armor and weapon breakpoints are. Only reason he said that this perkdeck sucks is because it's not his izhma stoic meta build. I'm sure you already know about carrot but I would recommend him as one of the best players for information, making fun/stupid and actual good builds, he even has a series fixing Croft's builds. Sorry for typing a whole ass story, but I find it incredibly dumb that majority of players are actually taking advise from this guy.

Id reccomend the katana; faster attack speed so you can chain the damage boost faster. Also, your video ended too soon for me to be sure, but were you regaining health from your melee kills while under berserker?

I prefer katana too mate. Yes health comes back with this perk deck, berserker doesn’t stop that you just lose it’s benefit once you go over 50% health

I have a recommendation, if you want to kill with the perk deck get the ice pick but if you want to use it for the healing and armor regeneration get a fast melee. So for fast armor regeneration and health regeneration I would recommend the kunai

God dammit, I hate devs for adding armor bonus in percents, it kills all the variety and force you to use a disgusting ICTV or you'll suck. Furthermore, it's a fucking Jacket's perkdeck! Jacket in the ICTV! It's just awful. Awful and disgusting. If they give us an armor bonus in armor points, there will be no problem at all, we could just wear a suit or a LBV and pick some additional armor and dodge skills for survivability. Or even better option - temporary increasing a dodge chance for mid range kills instead of armor regen. That would make the gameplay closest to the Hotline Miami.

You can knock down the enemies but its just not worth it. You cannot knock down the cloakers unless they attack you, and you can only slightly stun bulldozers, but both of those units require you bo be cqc and use the counterstrike skill. You're better off killing the enemy than stunning him. Counterstrike can be useful on some melee builds against cloakers tho, like ictv + frenzy aced + underdog aced + piglet (1300 dmg per hit with 6 mag). Considering the slow reload you cannot have the run and reload skill so you can interrupt the reload instantly, and counterstrike is an anti cloaker skill in tough situations.

What are your opinions on the Steakout? I pretty much only go for loud and it really opens up a lot of points to be used else where. It's incredibly fun and reliable regardless of perk deck that I use.

if you are going to get frenzy you can take blood thirst aced and bersrker aced on the way in that kind of sytation even if mele is not the focus you can make mele a great side tool because you can use swan song pluss damage bust of b thirst and berserker to kill dozer and b thirst to sped your reload in a pinch

Sociopath in every sense of the word is a match to the Hotline Miami games, rush in from room to room meleeing enemies. I've always had a soft spot for this perk deck even if it isn't the best it is a massive amount of fun.

Socio it is meant to be played WITH Frenzy aced, as it can achieve 3hit armor breakpoint, which only Infiltrator and Anarchist can do. You still take Bullseye aced on DS, even with Socio gate it's not enough to recover the armor from zero. And don't get me started on Painkillers.

I’m not sure if frenzy is supposed to be used with this deck mate, any deck with health regen is kind of lost when you use frenzy, but hey, this game is about playing how you wanna play it and what works for one may not work for another,, cheers!

@@b33croft I wouldn't take it seriosly wouldn't you facts, but whatever. Yes, it can be used to bypass a breakpoint for 2 mins but it needs valuable meds to work. Plus, your Stoic friends will love you after you inspire them in a middle of nowhere and you'll have painkillers. Well, Socio's healing is negligible on DS. You can even rewatch your gameplay that melee kill you got didn't save you from dying. What Frenzy does however is even more DR, which in combination with Underdog aced and Socio's DR allows you to tank 3 hits to full armor, which is really strong, and only Infiltrator can done the same thing. As an added bonus, it permanently activates Berserker.

in my country, I can't get the overdog perk because you have to get hotline Miami 2 and it's not allowed in our country because a guy told me in a pub that it had a rape scene in it......a rape scene? that's bullshit! Wolfenstein 1 and 2 had a lot of sex scenes and grand theft auto is a game about drug lords and murder, robbery, and even more crimes against humanity! the government banned this game on steam but not all the other ones! it pisses me the fuck off! max Payne had a strip club you go through which had sex scenes OF COURSE...and can also kill the strippers.

Frenzy can prevent you from losing the berserker buff from sociopath's health regen and have fun with 2-3 hit ICTV with both Frenzy aced and Underdog Aced

@@b33croft You tried it?! I meant it as a joke, so it's not supposed to work, don't worry. The only way you could make suit work is if you had PiC with Hostage Taker, and maybe some FAKS too. You'd have to armor gate, but that defeats the purpose of all the damage reduction skills you get.

I'll never understand taking berserker without Frenzy... it's still an amazing build.

Thanks mate. Frenzy is not always worth it based on the damage you can take. If your armor breaks in one hit with frenzy then it may not be worth it, but it still could help against lesser damage hits. Frenzy also does help getting you in a natural berserker, otherwise you need grenades or molotovs etc to get you there

Sociopath would be better if it was ex president but with Dodge like if you get a kill you get 2 dodge melee will be 10 dodge and max will be 70 dodge so there’s a reason to use it, make it a 15 second timer killing someone resets the timer and adds the dodge getting down or not killing someone in 15 seconds will reset the dodge that would be hotline Miami perk deck

@@b33croft don't worry about it too much man, it was a joke on the well documented phenomenon known simply as "gotta squeeze those 10 minutes out for that algorithm" that most youtubers used to do, and frankly I also do not care, all that matters is that new pd2 players get some sort of build info or entertainment out of this. And I already have had the idea that you only make these videos just to have fun or to engage with the community. But yes, the video is actually 10 minutes and 17 seconds long.

Don’t know if it does or not, I’m not using incendiary rounds in my shotgun. I don’t believe it does as the aced version says it doesn’t work with grenade launchers

Is there a legit hud mod that currently works? I like the one I seen where it showed the time and spawns left on the assult phase you used in a video from 2 years ago about 125 dodge. I dont want any cheats, just a better hud
