I'm out of ohio and if you're going to use a freight or equipment trailer for car hauling and you don't have a CDL don't they are heavy especially the longer they get

nobody is hauling that shit for those rates..and not all cars go for those really cheap rates..it all depends on your location..a 2 car will for some but not all

GVWR is 24,000 . Actually weight is around 12,000 -13,000 depending on what equipment I have with it.

Hotshot Haulers so by looking at the GVWR you have only 2000 left for a load which is really small. By looking at the actual weight you have around 13k maximum of weight. Is the 26k determined by the GVWR or what’s the total weight of truck+trailer+load at a particular time?

The GVWR is just the rating off the truck (10,000) and the trailer (14,000) for registration. Take your GVWR minus your actual weight and that’s the load capacity you have.

Hotshot Haulers so I’ll say load capacity for non CDL driver is [GVWR (truck+trailer) ] - [weight (truck+trailer)]

Bumper pull is too unstable

Bumper pull will also kill your rear end

Bumper pull not that bad for 2 cars, you can pull big campers on bumpers. Just make sure heaviest vehicle is on back of trailer. Because it acts like a canterlever and it will cause your front end to come up a little

You could do 3 cars but you’ll need to be careful on your weight

I would not recommend it. I tried myself and over time it started to deteriorate. I would start with at least a 3/4 ton, preferably diesel, but gas can work. Frames, tires, overall towing capabilities are better suited for the constant abuse.

FMCS's HOS (Hours of Service) regulates at 14 hours before you need I believe a 10 hr reset.

My truck is 14lb gvw and my trailer is 14lb gvw and I'm non cdl. The factory can derate trailers, so they derated minecto 12k lbs gvw putting me under by 1 lb

In most states GVWR on trailers can exceed 10k without needing a CDL. Some exceptions to that like in California

i wouldn't recommend it..find a way to get an f250 minimum get a ford 7.3..thats what i started with and my 2 car trailer and now i got an f350 dually..make it happen bro..good luck

7.3 are junk I blew the heads off mine pulling 2 cars, get a dodge 5.9 or 6.7. I run a cummins 6.7 with the Aisin commercial tranny. Also I ate 2 new 4R100 transmission. 330k on my 2016 ram not 1 problem

I run a 2016 3500 6.7 cummins cab and chassis if you use a truck with a bed on it you can run into length laws. Cab and chassis your considered a tractor and you are unrestricted so length doesn't matter. With a bed it's considered to be cargo area, the truck and trail become one in measuring. So a dually crew cab with a bed and a 40' trailer you would be around 74' from trailer bumper to front bumper of truck and you'll be overlength in most states

I have same trailer 6300 and they're junk. Trailer quality is great, axles are junk, they use lippert axles you'll eat through outer bearings and I've had to rewire the trailer because it was really bad. And if you get one pull the brake wire out of the axle tubes. They will rub raw and you will lose trailer breaks. Put them on outside of the axle tubes

Since this video was posted, Kaufman has raised the price of this exact trailer to $11,890. So $6,500 for a used one is a good deal.

if your hauling across state lines you need minimum 1 mil insurance policy that goes for 2 car trailers as well..you need cargo insurance to get loads from load boards..

No.. but when you go through weight stations they will inspect you. Also you have a ELD electronic logging device. Also carry commercial insurance. And I'm going to be honest with everyone starting out it will kill you the first 2-3 years. I was paying 1800 after 6 years it's down to 700.00. Its because of our title hotshots which the insurance industry gave us which means fast driving that's why it's expensive

I make between 120k to 150k but that's me everyone is different and I don't work weekends gone on Tuesday home on Friday

Yes over 26 thousand pounds you need a CDL. Two car is what I want to go with starting out new to this in my later years.
