I love that Jesse asked for Tatu Baby's advice on black and grey, saying it's not his specialty. That doesn't happen very often on Ink Master unless people are on the same team or something like that.

If I ever decide to get a tattoo. It would definitely be sausage or Anthony. They have such great and calm energy. I would feel beyond comfortable with them!

It's not on here, but Anthony's freehand semi-American traditional Eagle tattoo he did on the guys back is without doubt one of the best tattoos I've ever seen. Dude has a gift.

I have to be honest, it's really annoying when they complain about getting a brown skinned canvass. This should be a requirement for becoming a tattooist. What are you going to do? Turn away brown skinned customers? Ridiculous.

That priest man is a champ. I didn't sit that still when I got my calves tattooed. And tbh while I disagree getting a political person tattooed on you for life, Jesse's Obama, Sausage's JFK and Christian's Hillary Clinton tattoo was amazingly done.

I swell with pride and awe everytime I've watched Dave tell Anthony that it was an "honour" to see him work and compliment him on taking out the veterans

I feel like the biggest compliment is when one of the judges says they wish they had the tattoo on themselves

as annoying and weird sausage is... hes an AMAZING tattooer and deserves more credit.. hes the ONLY artist on INK MASTER history to nail EVERY style there is and win a challenge of EACH type.

it's funny to see how different the show was in the beginning. The dynamic was totally different. It's almost like Dave was too shy to present the show

As a honorable mention I like to add here is Jason Clay Dunn's black and grey grim reaper from season 5. That reaper looking scary and badass.

That JFK portrait tat actually made me say wow out loud. He shouldve won that challenge hands down.

I would absolutely LOVE to be tattooed by Sausage!

I always thought they were too hard on Cleen and Sarah about their portraits being too dark because we all know that they will lighten when healed. Sometimes all the light soft grey disappears and then the tattoo doesn't look like the person anymore and you could end up having to get a touchup and went through the pain for nothing.

Megan's shader only tat was amazing 👏

James & Christian, Cleen & Anthony. Those tattoos were like night and day they made the decision pretty easy for the judges

jessi was the only guy who actually choose his weakness when re-entering the competition, everybody else picked his/her strong suit

21:50 Ironic, that the challenge was to tattoo a "realistic" women and they came up with pin-ups with inflated breasts. don't get me wrong, they look absolutely stunning and nobody wants a Karen on their leg, but "realistic" isn't the word i would think of when describing them. And yes I'm aware that this is in reference to the style more than the subject but still...

Honestly, the politician portrait tattoos... I get that the Hillary tattoo was good and accurate and well shaded but I actually got tears in my eyes when I saw Sausage's JFK tattoo. It was a weird reaction that I did not expect but I just thought it was so beautifully done and so real. I would have given it to Sausage just based on my visceral reaction. But then I'm not a tattoo artist so I don't know the technicalities. But I'll bet Sausage's canvas will never be sorry that they had him doing that tatoo.

I can't stand when people try to intimidate people that are good artists to make them lose. Why can they just be the best and beat them with their own talent? Just do it better and let the games go. It just exposes how insecure they are about their own work compared to the person they try and throw under the bus...

I feel so bad for Clean in that challenge against Anthony. Part of being an artist is also taking care of yourself. You've gotta rest, eat, and have a relatively peaceful mind, especially with tattooing. One of my college professors recognized this and his first lecture of any class he taught was how to cook good, healthy, cheap meals. He talked about how to find good cooking ingredients around campus for cheap and how to take care of your cooking utensils so they last longer. This lecture came before anything about art was mentioned and was at least 10 minutes long. Artists don't be taking care of themselves 🤣

Sausage had such patience and control under pressure to rework the tattoo. That guy saying he doesn't give a shit is a fake threat as he will go tell everyone he got an amazing tattoo from this famous artist. What a shit canvas owes him an apology.

Anthony’s woman head to head against Cleen had super weird arms. The way her arm came out of her hair on the right was too low and the forearms were really short. When they said it was realistic I was kind of shocked since they usually pick up in wrong proportions that are subtle and hard to notice

That Hilary tattoo is horrifying

Most all tattoo artist told me black and gray is harder than color. The reason it's harder is because of the shading. I would know a lot about tattoos I have 50 of them. And I got two full sleeves and all my legs are tattooed lower part my hands are tattooed my sternums tattooed my back's tattoo.

I hope that dude that was such a douche to Sausage was ridiculed at home for his behavior. So rude for what? It's like I get being picky because this is a thing that's going to be on your body forever (if you don't get it removed or covered up) but he is a tattoo artist for a reason. They are supposed to tell you and help educate you so that your tattoo will stay looking good for ever! The skin on his stomach wasn't the best place! That's all! He is looking out for YOU my guy! It’s crazy Sarah Miller went home for her Clinton tattoo being too dark. While Christians Clinton was good, it was way too light to hold over time.

6:38 Sausage should've known that people just don't care about what 'you' want, They only care about what they want. If he had framed it by saying "Doing the tattoo on your stomach would give it deflated look, which is not something that you want, especially when that thing is gonna be with you forever. Give me your forearms/thighs/back and I will give you a tattoo that you will want to flaunt everywhere". He would have a remarkably different experience with the client. Anthony is a stellar example of how to deal with people effectively, with Tatu Baby and Sarah being close seconds. But he managed to change his mind, so Sausage probably knows this and the long comment that I wrote is now a bit useless 😂

22:36 honestly I like that kleen put the ribs in the tattoo like that it’s a lot more realistic. If a girl is slim like that and she stretches up above her head I sincerely doubt ribs wouldn’t show. I just think it’s more atomically correct especially if you are shooting for realism
