The love and friendship of one of the best comedic duos of all time. This video is not, in any form, an endorsement of Jay Leno. thanks @MyTalkShowHeroes for the Tonight Show footage.
I don't like that people tell Spade he should have died. That's not cool. They're both lovely people and I wish Farley was still around today, but I am grateful that we still have David.
AMEN! Maybe they should see what it feels like to have ppl tell them they should have died instead of someone they cared about and they wouldn't throw it around like that. That is so screwed up...
That's extremely mean. Chris shouldn't have died either. That sucked. But it happened. David Spade is awesome. He and adam sandler were great friends to chris. What jerks to say that to someone. Do they think that famous people dont have feelings or something? How hateful!
Continuously when we lose the people we love. It never really ends. We somehow find a way to continue living with those memories. However, grief itself never ends. We just deal with in different ways!!! God bless.❤️ ,
Yeah Tommy boy has a bunch of sleeper funny moments you forget are there. Bout time I rewatched it myself 😂 black sheep was so ahead of its time with the archetypal Hillary Clinton character
@@randomdude189 for some reason if Chris was still alive im pretty sure Adam sandler would of had him in the grown ups movies playing a character that lives in a van down by the river
Spade helped Farley succeed as well. Farley needed a guy like Spade to balance things out. Fat guy fall down go boom got old when the entire movie was based around that concept. Beverly Hills Ninja is a prime example. They were a great team, no one more important than the other.
SollertisKhan thats just a big running joke. They were like brothers. Ive layed my sisters on their ass a few times. Spade loved him and did everything he could for him. Farley was a great comedian he was hilarious, but if you watch the documentary “I am chris farley” you know that he sucked at writing. That was why him and dave worked were so dynamic. David gave chris every opportunity to succeed, and farley made them both legends. It look them both. Losing farley was such a blow to spade. Theres no doubt in anyones mind that he loved him, he wasnt afriad as much as he was like dude wtf. I acnt imagine the pain it was for him to lose his friend at the height of all that. He’s obviously angry and hurt, his friend hated himself enough to do that to himself.
I actually got emotional watching this. Chris Farley and David Spade were such an amazing duo and Tommy Boy was one of my favorite childhood movies I still love to this day. Watching this, I both laughed and cried... RIP Chris Farley
I love how David could always make Chris laugh, even though their styles of humor seemed so different on the surface. They knew each so well, and out of everyone who was close on the SNL cast, they were the most like brothers.
1:45 the look on David’s face really says how much he loved the man in the suit screaming like a maniac and the fact that he knew Chris would say “smoking doobies”
I always feel bad for him about this. For as close as those two were, it must be painful to always live in the shadow of your dead friend, no matter what you do.
You can tell that these two just had the upmost respect and admiration for each other, and had all kinds of fun together. In interviews even today, you can tell how much David still misses Chris.
Chris Farely was a legend and Spade is incredibly underrated. Spade’s new show is so good and I’m glad people are giving him the recognition he deserves.
6:47 listen to what David Spade has to say comparing high grossing movies to what he and Chris did. I watched Tommy Boy on repeat as a 12 year old and every time I watch it I can never stop smiling or laughing.
Lmao Chris was such a troll to David. They had such a brotherly chemistry, you can tell they genuinely loved each other. Yin and yang. Farley and SANDLER, however.... explosive!!!!!! Napalm and battery acid!!!
It’s sad to think he would have to pay prostitutes to spend time with him. He was so funny and adorable- like a big teddy bear! A man so loved by so many must have had a huge heart and lots of love to give. He probably did drugs to fill the void inside of him😞
He also tried to fill the void by becoming a celebrity. He was not happy, obviously. Unfortunately his mental illness doesn’t seem to get much exposure. Too bad, it might help people in similar circumstances and remove some of the stigma.
Goodbye Girl1 really sucks that everyone loved him but he didn’t love himself. He thought they all just wanted to see the fat guy fall ... dude was a damn athlete .... some people get ripped like Bruce Lee and some just get big like a football player on the line
I was thinking the same thing before I read your comment. . Joe Dirt is one of my favorites and Chris Farley in that movie would have been really great.Sadly this wasn't meant to be.
I can't get enough of watching Chris dancing with Patrick Swayze on SNL, in the Chippendales skit. So freaking hilarious!!!!! And the funny thing is, Chris was actually a good dancer, for a big guy he could really bust a move!
Seeing Odenkirk, Spade, and Farley in the room together makes you wish you could have seen all three of them in a movie together. Especially if it was like Bob's film Nobody.
I miss him so much, one of the few guys in my life who ever made me laugh deep down. You can tell how much someone means to you if every time you think of them, they put a smile on your face. And he does that for me :-)
Another one knocked out of the park man, I love these small documentaries and they are that, this isn't your average compilation video, it's a doc. Anyways enough rambling I appreciate the work you put into these videos keep up the good work!
Being 19 years old I wish nothing more than to be able to be born in the era of chris Farley or have this man still changing the face of comedy to this day
I've been watching a lot of Farley videos today...and this was the best. There is a lot of insight into what his greatness is. He was always willing to put himself out there. He was always into it for the laughter. And...I respect that so much. It's one of the few things we have to hold on to.
It is so screwed up for someone to say "You should have died instead"...It sucks but he made some bad decisions don't put it off on someone else, especially someone who WAS a good friend of his and actually KNEW HIM IN REAL LIFE. I'm 100% the ones who said David Spade should have instead didn't know Chris Farley personally and Spade didn't want Farley to die and you can tell it still hurts him. For those assholes who all said that, if someone you care about dies, I hope Karma comes back to bite u in the ass.
i love the clip when it cut stern that was amazing!!! Chris R.i.P as usual you would have ebolished depresstion for us and you would have had an amazing support here in this day and age love you buddy
All of this was awesome to reminisce on and it's great but watching Spade & Farley on the Leno show, was really beautiful. And then to end it with Adam Sandler's tribute. 💞
This was an awesome set of clips from one of my favorite comedy duos of all time. That being said I think the way you arranged them made them even more powerful for me. Well done!!
11:36 "I'm a clown, but I cry" if we only took that at face value maybe he would be still here with us. As an extremely overweight, depressed person who lives off making other people laugh, he is an extremely relatable person.
I want to say that this was a very satisfying watch, just mashing up the found footage while focused on the story of Chris and David. I'm only finding this video 3 years after you made it, Best of Humans, but you have the makings of a great documentarian. I don't know what your personal path is, or even if you care to become a more skilled documentarian, but this work shows real promise. I hit the Subscribe button and haven't looked yet at any of your more recent work, but if this video is the start on your path, I am excited to see what else you can do.
I hate thinking about it that way. I guess I like to think that Belushi or some of the other greats were there to meet him, and to see him over. I know it's far-fetched, but I'd like to believe it.
The sad thing about the whole thing is that if the hooker just called the ambulance instead of just leaving he'd still be alive today or at the very least wouldn't have died at that moment.
It honestly makes me cry! I Could tell that he really was a heartwarming guy! It truly was tragic that he had to leave us so soon! He certainly left a huge legacy for us all, however! In the end, that is all that counts!!!🥰🥰🥰
i remember one night working gate guard duty at NTC Great Lakes and it was about 3 in the morning. Mancow the big dj in Chicago and Chris Farley came on the radio. You could tell they had been drinking but the comedy gold that night is something i will never forget!
