These two deserve a spin-off considering that they steal the show with their bumbling over-the-top antics. Add to the fact that they always get pranked by Mahoney and his friends makes them even more iconic and unforgettable.

I laugh my ass off at 3:32 when Proctor throws Harris to the floor in frustration; the expression on his face shortly thereafter only adds to the scene.
Nah; the best scene in the series came from PA2. The Capt. Mauser shower scene where Mahoney switches the shampoo w/Tackleberry's epoxy glue (the bottles looked very similar). That's where Mauser applied the glue (thinking it was the shampoo) & while singing, he says "The next thing you know, they'll be calling me Capt. Mauser. Capt. Mauser; yowzer, yowzer. OH, yeah; oh, yeah, oh-oh....." Then his fingers were stuck to his scalp. That scene always has me LMFAO!!!!! Especially when Jones mocks Mauser 's dog Lou by barking @ Mauser which then forces Mauser out of the locker room stark naked w/fingers glued 2 his scalp. I'll tell ya; Mauser did his best Harris impression.
I lived in San Antonio for 11 years and on the news G.W. Bailey was hanging out at the Six Flags water park. I wished I’d been there that day. He’s such a likable smartass and authority figure!

You gotta feel sorry for Proctor sometimes. The man gets no respect from anybody. Not from Mauser, not from Harris, certainly not from the recruits. His best moments seem to be in part 5 where he's almost one of the team.
GW Bailey is so perfect as Captain Harris. I wouldn't mind a remake of the series even if its a netflix series, as long as he is there, it will be funny. I have seen other movies where he is in there but I always call him as Captain Harris

Good, but you forgot the scene in Police Academy 3 when Mauser says, "and I see the sandman jumping from rooftop to rooftop", and Proctor says, "where!?! Where!?!" Classic Proctor.
Harris was an extremely funny actor. These two guys really gave me a lot of happiness as a kid and i thank them. The series is way too maligned: its just silly fun.
Just watched all 7 movies this week and I still think Police Academy 3 is my favourite despite G.W. Bailey not being in it, Thadeus Harris is the role he was born to play. Harris and Proctor really kept the films entertaining as 4-7 are really poor other than when they are onscreen.
@@RacerGirl48 I think they shouldn't have done that AWFUL Mission to Moscow. The way Harris screams "Protooooooooor!" Is just the icing on the cake for an end to a wonderful series 🤣

I could see the reboot Guttenberg mentioned having Harris as Commissioner and Mahoney as the Captain and Proctor as the Chief (or whatever rank below Harris would be)

I’ve had this idea for another Police Academy movie that revolves around Harris running for mayor-he says he wants to clean up incompetence in the police department, but really its a big plot to finally get even with Mahoney and the rest. “Captain Harris, you say your platform is all about traditional family ales-but what about the repeated sightings of you in the Blue Oyster bar?” “Oh, well, er...I’ve always supported gay rights!” “But sir, what about that time you...” “SHUT UP PROCTOR! Remember folks I need your support so get out and vote, move it move it move iiiiiit!”
