It's so heartbreaking that in February, George Gaynes (Commandant Eric Lassard) died. He lived a very very good 98 years. It's just very very heartbreaking! RIP Commandant!
The fact that Sgt Callahan was also in the know, and fighting back her laughter, means that Harris can't take any action against Mahoney for letting the cat out of the bag.
My brother-in-law almost died from choking on a slice of pizza when he watched that scene. He was coughing and laughing at the same time. And then: You told no one? Not a soul. And then the whinny heard all over the world.
I actually met George W. Bailey at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio one time and he was playing in the water park. Great man and very personable. He sounds even more Texan in real life than the movies.
I agree Ucan OuoteMe, Police Academy rocks ha Tackelberry is so awesome, all of them. Most comedies are all the same, all south park family guy, american dad bullshit. Others may like that, but this is the real deal, it has slap stick..I love that stuff , its like bringing back the three stooges ha I love them.
Gotta give a medal to G.W. Bailey who played antagonist Capt. Harris. He had to put up with being the but of most of the jokes in those funny movies. He was great as a p.i.t.a. kind of guy. Everytime I saw him on a tv show I would say "move it move it move it!" 😄😄😄
During the filming of Police Academy I was attending Humber College Lakeshore 1 Campus that was right next to the film location. Terrific seeing the actual filming!
I lost it on That Shoe Polish scene!!! even the Commandant in the golf cart couldn't hold it in !! that look as he was talking omg!!!! so damn FUNNY!!!
I could look at that horse scene a thousand times and still would pee my pants laughing and that woman who passed out made it that much more funny miss these movies
Lol its super funny. I can't stop laughing. The part when Harris said nobody screws with me, well maybe you'll find a girl and that'll all will change, get out of here now and bang, lol! It's hilarious.
Funny how the roles got reversed in Police Academy 3: Back in Training and it was Sgt. Fackler trying to prevent his wife form joining the police force.
The police academy movies always a classic after all these years later appreciate a good laugh to the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten you guys rock you made my weekend appreciate you guys thanks ! Joe
The Bull Horn scene is HILARIOUS! When the Commandant saw Lt Harris and Burst into laughter... 😆🤣. Easily... One of my favorite scenes in all of Police Academy Movies.

Joe
Favorite scenes? HOW can you not include… “ Mahoney.. What did he do?” “A very, very bad thing….” Ha! Those who watched the movie would “get it” And by far… THE best scene in conversation….
People just don't get good humor anymore....Hell, I have friends who think this movie is dated and weird. Then I have friends who sat through it and wondered where the hell I got my sense of humor.
"Police Academy" is one of many milestones of 90's Russian geek culture, VHS Era, ya know. Still Love this movies. Actors are funny n amazing, n quality of lulz is 100500 ways better, than many if modern comedies.
I like the last scene with the horse ,if I'd of been in Mahoney's shoes when the captain said u did not tell anyone ,I would have said no sir straight from the horses mouth
The rest of the Police Academy movies can, for the most part, take a flying dump. This one stands as having the best story and I can still watch it today. The other ones became bigger and bigger cartoons.
