Great coverage. The Auribus Spirit headphones were stellar. Songer Audio, Hear This and Audio Association were top rooms for me. Of course the Scott Walker rooms were all baller.
"Vented"? Tweeter chamber .. I think is accurate. Like the Ø series are vented out the sides. .. even the X series has small tube / to vent the rear of the tweeter chamber.
Agree - TAD was a great room for Florida and Montreal 2024. REally great stuff.. The Axpona rooms were smaller.. so its nice to see they had the large stuff for THE Show.
YG was there and sounded fantastic. One of the most packed rooms through the weekend. The YG might be more airy and analytical than TAD. TAD had a great tone and musicality that was impossible to ignore.
@HiFiTurtle Thanks, man! Very cool. I think it speaks to TAD's commitment to audiophiles everywhere that they showed up in a serious way to a "small" local show instead of just phoning it in. I'm considering TAD Micro Evolution's, YG Talus, SF Maxima Amator, or Fyne Audio F8-1. Front end, D'agastino Progression Integrated, Vinni Rossi Brama Integrated, Pathos Kratos or Aavik U280. Thoughts?
Wow cant go wrong with that group. I love Vinnie's gear sonicly and look wise the most. TAD and SF would be my picks if you don't plan to ever add a subwoofer. The Talus is a clarity superstar but really needs a sub to bring it all home. The Fyne I have not heard unfortunately
