Best Orange Cake Recipe 

The best one I ate this year was in Istanbul, Turkey. It costed less than 4 Turkish liras one slice but it was so good the following day I bought again. A guy sells two different flavours at Beylikdüzü Main Station, orange and lemon. If you ever visit the place, look for him. He has a little "quiosque" just on the way out of the station near the staircase. 😉👍💞

In Portugal we make a very similar cake with minor diferences (for this amount of flour and sugar, we use 3 large eggs, 220ml orange juice and equal amount of OLIVE OIL). Using an quality fruity extra-virgin olive oil instead of the sunflower or corn oil will give and even more extraordinary cake. I like to add a pinch of grated nutmeg also.

Yum! Great recipe. The cake was not bland like some other cakes can be and had just the right amount of orange flavor to it. I also added an orange glaze on top of it. (1 tbsp of orange juice and 1 cup of powdered sugar) Tasted just like grandma's!

Just made it . Looks moist and smells great . Unfortunately I had inconsistency with the rise . Very uneven. I doubt it is the oven . It's pretty new . Im thinking maybe I didn't beat the eggs long enough ? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
