This is an actual thing? I’ve never heard of this. Have you had any experience with it? How was it if so?

@@StrikeRykerFishing Yes ,someone had some in a jar. They made me a sandwich with it. And It tasted exactly like salmon salad sandwich.Not sure they would give me the recipe though. They wanted to make it for me instead by me supplying the fish.

Very interesting, adding the white wine. I will have to give this recipe a try. If you don't mind my asking where are y'all from (nothing too specific, I'm just wondering which state/providence)?

You have an interesting recipe. Question: Was your storage area cooled? I have watched others and they refrigerated the salting/vinegar process?

Hey Bru Dog! Would first like to say thank you for throwing out this great question! Refrigeration of the jars won’t hurt anything at all. If you have the space to do so, I wouldn’t say no to the idea, however, I don’t think it is needed. I usually keep my jars in a cool/dark place whenever doing my pickling but not refrigerated. The meat is still very firm, the flavors are infused thoroughly, and the meat keeps forever after. I’ve kept them in my basement in the summer months and the garage in the cooler time of the year with no problems at all. Definitely a great question and appreciate hearing from you!! Hope to see you stick around with the channel and enjoy the content! #SendItAndFishOn

Is it safe to use cheesecloth if I'm lactose intolerant?

Of course! Cheese cloth is just fabric. It is called cheese cloth due to the part it usually is used in the cheese making process! Hope you enjoy the recipe!! 🙌

Vinegar and Salt brine for 3 days dissolves ALL bones and prepares for sweet brine. After 3 days sweet brine ready to eat. 6 days total not weeks or months 😂

Will that recipe work for suckers in the spring?
@StrikeRykerFishing
@StrikeRykerFishing 2 года назад
It really should! The only worry would be if you keep the bones in the meat, not sure if they would fully dissolve like pike do. The other thing to try with suckers is to smoke them! I’ve had MANY people ask me to catch and keep cold water suckers for them to smoke! Also thanks for the great question!
