Just a small correction, the "2GB version" of this card is the R5 340X. The gpu is exactly the same and so is performance, the only thing that changes is the memory capacity basically.
@@XLSTech Not sure about that... but if you want to try the best of the best of these low profile AMD cards, you should test the R7 350 or 450X. They only come with 4GB either ddr3 or gddr5 and they do get quite a bit better performance in general.

Im trying to overclock it with every example that u gave in the discription below, but when i get on the game , after some time i get black screen and i need to reset the pc so it can restore the last settings ... And then its failing over again with every single example ? Any help?
I have this one right now installed but I'm using the old 2016 Catalyst drivers, I can't get the latest Adrenalin drivers to work on my Windows 7 OS 64bit. I always get the 1603 error. Idk if it's because I have the outdated Windows 7 OS without the latest updates like .NET framework/Visual C++ or if there are problems with the dll files but I'm stuck as this, when I tried to boot GPU-z the card blue screened on me. I want to do some old school PC gaming but decided not to. I don't want to damage it further as I got this second hand. it's hassle to have it returned and refunded cause I'm broke right now haha.
I love your video but I have a question: could you help me overclock my AMD R5 iGPU? MSI afterburner doesn't overclock my card. it never did anyway even though I unchecked the option in the settings that prevents overclocking. Anyway, I have a laptop with AMD A9-9425 CPU, and iGPU AMD R5 graphics 4GB VRAM DDR4 with a core of 900mhz and 1066mhz memory speed. Now even though I'm getting decent performance some of the system info softwares i used indicated that my card can be overclock up to 1600mhz for its memory speed. now I don't know if this is accurate but I wanna try overclocking my igpu just to see if I gain more performance. I did overclock my old GPU back in the day and I gained significant performance and I wanna do it for this one.
Issues like that can often occur when the driver being used isn't quite the right one. The R5 340X is a noticeable improvement over the R5 240. It features an additional 64 shaders as well as a higher core clock speed. The 340X was released 1.5 years after the R5 240 came out. Good luck! 👍
bro i cant overclock my r5 240 it shows me at max 825 and 1000 which was set to default i havent touched it before and i cant even change it to more then 825 and 1000
If you are using MSI Afterburner, try going into Properties, then check "Extend Official Overclocking Limits", then reboot the machine. That may open up a higher range of values you can try.

You can go into Properties and check "Unlock Voltage Control" if it isn't already checked. However I don't think it will make a difference as I don't believe this card supports changing the voltage without replacing the bios.
The test card we used was only a 1 GB version of the R5 240 so we didn't try mining with it. If we can get our hands on a 2 GB version that would definitely be something to try.
