Adidas Lite Racer Adapts are super grippy. Very spongelike on soles. I was going through a pair per week though so now sticking with wedge sole work boots from Twisted X. Super comfortable and once the tread wears down some they are pretty grippy.
I like Pumas. Very comfortable and light but only last about 3-4 months. Shoes laces go first. Not durable but comfortable and less expensive! Love the video big D!

I'm still loving my redwing 8863 slate muleskinner moc toe. That white crape wedge grips great, and the rough out leather looks great even after getting at it on the roof.
@@dogateam how are them Perry's? I've heard some mixed views on the QC. I considered the ramblers in black RO for roofing also, but I'm not sure how well the denser rubber will grip.
@@ThomasSteed I had a pair of thorogoods before and they were comfortable but they didn’t grip well. these are honestly the most comfortable shoe Iv ever owned period. I was on a 8/12 Thursday 15 year old tamko roof that had started to completely de laminate and granules were gone. Did just fine with a cushion , my pitch hoper was sliding a bit. Overall review on the whites 9/10 only con is the crape sole will definitely ware quick on steep slope. If you are a low slope guy I love them just be careful they are a little slippery one ice and wet coatings. But I’m fixing to order a second pair and send mine off the get re soled.
@@dogateam I've seen cobblers do retreads on wedge soles. Vibram makes some thin flat treads like the skull pattern that they can glue on after sanding the existing crape back flat, then you can get about 3 retreads before having the whole wedge swapped.
I typically wear Huk Rogue Wave boots when I'm on a roof softwashing the shingles or cleaning out gutters. They grip really well. Probably not as ideal for roofers. I am going to pick up a pair of cross fit shoes to see how they compare. Thank you for making the video.
I like merrels or any hiking type shoe. To me they are like tires. I buy a new pair every year. Too tough, like my army boots, and they will scuff up the shingles too easy. Too soft and it won't hold you. To me you need something in between.
Reebok and under armor cross fit is the best, that's wha I been using for 18 years ,helps me crinch my toes right on the roof and apply pressure where needed to move around, great videos buddy, and I takes a size 9 lol
Been using Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX and very happy with them. Like the pull cord to tighten them down before getting on steep. Been wearing for 8 months now and still holding up.
Just moved offices. Gotta update my address for the packages!!! Ha. I use nobull on the roof. I loved them. I never use my cougar paws besides the ones for metal roofs
