Dear Baiyina- is this possible for big open space kitchen-living-dining room to hang 2 different kinds of curtains in the different room sections? For example - kitchen-dining- one type curtain rod and curtains, living - another kind curtain rod and another type curtains? Thank you in advance.
Girl, I have had my home interior Pinterest boards perfected since 2016 lol... All I need is the money and the house 😂. No but for real those are all the reasons I love Pinterest. Also, when you have had your boards for a long time like I have, it's nice to revisit them and assess the styles you still love after 5 years. It's a good indicator of things you will love timelessly regardless of what's trendy.
Yes!!!! Baiyina, another wonderful video. Since our session, I am using Pinterest in a new way. Looking back on my “pins”, I am aware of themes and I am learning to not only trust my instincts, I am giving myself permission to make mistakes. Part of the learning process. When it’s right, I’ll know it. I’ve also learned not to adjust everything to fit around the one piece that is “ wrong”. Thank you , Baiyina. You offer the most practical information.
The lavender shades look beautiful with the copper. Also please show us your fail carpets as well as the final carpet you choose. I think what does not work is just as interesting as what does. Thank you for all the inspo!!
This was awesome and super helpful. I am retired but when I was teaching I would go down the Pinterest rabbit hole and come up for air 3-4 hours later!! Back then, it was Montessori lesson ideas; now I would definitely be pinning interior design ideas...do I dare?
Wow Bayina, your upholsterer beautifully transformed your swivel chair. The work is very neat. I actually found a similar chair that I love last year in an off price store but it had a polyester blend. I would require a more elevated fabric but I'm disappointed with work I've seen in local upholstery shops. You've proven that vetting the right artisan can make it work. I personally adore cow hide rugs & it's the first thing that came to mind. If it pleases your eyes ✅ definitely Texan appropriate & as you affirmed ✅ Parisian appropriate too.
One of your best videos. Just genius. Sometimes, when getting that Parisienne look, I can’t see the wood for the trees. This design style requires patience & a lot of thought! I’ll certainly consult Pinterest more in future. Thanks!
Fabulous video, Baiyina! So inspiring. I feel like I really got the opportunity to narrow down my dream home style direction. Thanks so much! Blessings from California XXX
One of my favorite videos. I love all the examples. I think a Moroccan rug would really work with your style! I liked both the small colorful one, and the the large neutral one. The swivel chair looks amazing!
love you videos and excited to see you place come together! As a guy your content is actually very relatable and useful which is really lacking typically from content makers but nonetheless I appreciate your wisdom.
I noticed Pinterest started suggesting rustic/cabin/hygge/Scandinavian type things based off what I like and pinned. So I had my husband build this wooden wall hanging based off some of the geometric Scandinavian patterns I had seen. We just started hosting a foreign exchange student from Finland and she said she could definitely see a hanging like that being in her home country. It made me so happy! I felt like we actually nailed it. It truthfully wasn't until I started watching you that I could start giving 'life' to what was in my mind out into reality.
This is all so true; Pinterest is fantastic for helping to decorate any home. I have proof… a few years ago we were remodeling our master bathroom. I had for a long while envisioned dark cabinets in there. So that was the plan. Then I kept looking at my Pinterest boards, 99% of the bathrooms I had pinned were with white cabinets. Luckily I asked myself if that’s what I’m pinning isn’t that what I’m drawn to, isn’t that what I love? Yes it is. I switched to white and am so happy I did. The bathroom feels more spa like!
Those Silk Velvets are Delicious. The Amber is giving Brooklyn craft icecream brand Van Leewen's 'Honeycomb'...YUM.😋 ✅Lavender ✅Herringbone ✅Silk ✅Velvet are EVERYTHING...I'm passionate about each & every element. You're making me reminisce about an Italian Ruby Red Velvet Double Breasted Belted Trench Maxi Coat that I wore to death.😂 That coat was like a treasured couch & I wish I'd had it restored. I agree that Carolina Von Humboldt's space has Obssession worthy elements galore.
Thank you, Baiyina. This is very helpful. I feel like the only person who doesn’t use Pinterest, and yet I know how useful it is! I will definitely give it another try.
When I was growing up in the 70's, my parents had a sofa like a Mario Bellini. I believe fashion and design evolve over time. It is all your preference. Now, my honest opinion about the sofa, I hated sitting on the sofa. I found it fun to look at it, but not comfortable to sit on it. I do not like lumpy seat cushions. JMO
I do need your help! Although, I feel what I like you will think is so different from your own…although, I have my style and believe you can help regardless. I do have that dark expensive dark brown sofa. Yep, plus old art which are maps and old books, lithographs and many neutrals (vases, urns, love love off white old anything). My big surprise is I love “PINK AND ROSE!” So, I have pale splashes of it and one wall with a hint of pink hue in a pale beige. I want a rose velvet loveseat. Oh I know you don’t agree, but it’s a must to work in with all my antiques and yes I love it full of my precious collections that are very old. Along with my lithograph of “Abraham Lincoln” portrait! Oh my I have a vision! I need you soon to bring it together. I have old remnants from a very old piano on my wall and gates 100 years old too. Yes I want moss to grow on some of my urns too with my pink pillow near by. Love to you and I enjoy your Parisian touch as well. I am unique and I believe it can work together in harmony!
I know I’m not baiyina, but could you source a wood framed vintage loveseat that you could get reupholstered in the velvet? Pink would probably be beautiful, I think it would be more about the style love seat you’d get to match your aesthetic.
@@meh5069 Yes, that is a possibility as well. I have seen many rose/pink loveseats for sale that are probably a better fit since I do have a very dark brown leather sofa. (So, I need to make sure it all blends together). Thank you for the suggestion, I will consider it and take a look. Since I’m very close to the Chicagoland area I have many vintage shops available.😊
Insta made my interest in Pinterest drop off. Thank you for renewing my fire! I will be feasting on your boards. 😋 Also, can't emphasize how sublime it is not hearing oohs n ahhs all about one store (RH). Too many people are copying n pasting their style; it's tragic. Break out of the 📦 people!
Honestly I don't use Pinterest because I feel like it would be procastination fodder for me. But this was a good guide on how to get some use out of it. Maybe I'll try it like this some time.
Okay - I'm going back on pinterest - great tips. Dumb question - how do I 'follow' you - can't find how to do that..........thanks to anyone that can help me...........(yes, smack my head emoji)
