Hi Friends! Today I'm doing a video reaction of the apartment tour of French Fashion It Girl Nadia Dhouab who was featured on one of my favorite series "Un Fille Un Style" from Vogue France. I'm obsessed with parisian decorating style and so today I'm breaking down specific elements I love an plan to incorporate into my "Paris, Texas" home.

I really think that pillow will work with your couch! The darkish gold of the couch will make the colors of the pillow pop. I definitely see your style reflected in the French apartment 😊 Definitely loved this video

I agree. I have tried to have original art for a long time now, even on a grad school budget. Folk art embroideries and other textiles that were framed, original art by local artists (including friends). I have also done a really nice (cheap) art print in a very upscale frame. Good art makes IKEA furniture look better, lol

I like this video. Do more tours with us! And yes, I think that multi-colored pillow will work for you. In general, I feel that if you love something, it will somehow work, if not in one place then another, but if you try to incorporate a piece that you feel you should love or that should work, but you don’t actually love it, then it will be a fail.

I really love how she mixes old furniture with new. I was drawn to the wood dresser in the living room. You didn't mention it. Pieces like that can be mixed in with so many different things. I am also getting into art and when I was younger I thought 500 dollars was a lot to spend on a piece of art. It is strange how now I find myself going to stores looking for art. I never thought I would be in a place in my life where I would have something hanging in my house that I spent some coin on just to admire it. Here is to graduating to the finer things in life....hey somethings to get better with age. I cook better meals now too...but thats another topic. Yeah 40s.

Go to even crafts shows; sometimes there are artist who haven't been in galleries yet and their work it just what you are looking for. Buy the pillow. I haven't seen your sofa, I am new to your site, but if it is something you love then get it. Yes more home tours, all countries.

I love how you talk about studying images of good design to learn, but I know I wouldn’t notice and pick up on all the things you do, nor would I understand their impact on the overall look, so it’s so helpful hearing your insights layered over the video. For example - you paused on the dark entryway and talked about that for a minute and I learned so much… and now I’m eyeing my entryway wondering if I can go dark there :)

That lamp at 6:08 looks like condoms. & I can't unsee it. Love this style of video. Though, it's not my style, I could provide it. I'm Tuscan with a tiny bit of French country. Give me hard carved woods. You know something I can break my foot on in the middle of the night, LOL! So this style though beautiful to look at, I couldn't live in it. I'm way too clumsy, to own glass things unless they're surrounded by at least 25cm (10") of hardwood. Like a glass insert or frame. You know to protect them, from me.😁 LOVE seeing the different styles! Thanks for sharing this with us! 🤗💕

Yes, that was fun. Her home was interesting and beautiful. Loved the colors. I was introduced to art very early in life, so I tend to purchase art first. A close family friend has an apartment full of art, but no furniture...😒😂😂😂. I'm not that bad, but definitely a great piece of art/painting brings comfort to a space.

ABSOLUTELY, do more videos on house tours of different styles. I'd like to see more about "transitional" styles, or any others mixing antique/vintage pieces with a cleaner aesthetic. So often these pieces are crammed into a maximalist interior. As others have commented, I'd like to see something more restrained, but not exactly minimal.

Great tour and commentary! My daughter is in a French Immersion school and this reminded me we need to study 🤪 I think you would end up not loving the pillow. My favorite art pieces are the ones I have had commissioned and the ones that have been gifted.

Loved the tour - I always learn something - drapes same color as wall - thinking my dining room...and I always remove some accessories every time I watch one of your videos. I do like the idea of watching a style video with commentary. It allows us to see other ideas but then get your 'real world' take on it. I had a style session with Baiyina and I learned so much and continue to learn that styling our homes are a learning process and can take time with good and bad finds and that's okay. Thanks for making real style accessible to us all!

I love the way you showed us a great example of someone who styled a home in a particular decor style, pointing out recommendations for what should be invested in and what you could buy low end for a similar look! I loved this program, Thank you. Here (in Australia) sometimes the art schools (university s) have a exhibition of the students art at the end of the year and sometimes you can buy the art - I’ve got a couple of nice pieces like that. I have some ceramic pieces and a drawing, friends also bought paintings. Just a thought.

Relly enjoyed this video and your commentary! Yes, I think the pillow will work. In your inspiration room photo, there was a solid (dark gold? velvet) pillow but the artwork over the sofa was colorful like the pillow. If you decide the pillow won't work for the sofa, then maybe an accent chair but I definitely think it a must-have!

Loooove this type of video! I totally get what you are saying about art. I am getting creative with my art on a budget. One idea I am playing with is taking a beautiful blanket my grandma made for me and having it professionally framed. Kind of weird but I think it will look cool and would take up a lot of blank wall space

India Mahdavi is my favorite desingner, her showroom Is around the corner from me here in Paris. She has great cushions too which you can throw on any velvet sofa to get her signature look. Speaking of which, Love the pillow you found! Great breakdown of Parisian style. Thanks.

Perhaps the designer of your bed pillow that we mutually love has something you will also love.😊 Her sofas immediately reminded me of yours, that blush color is for me. I also like the huge vessels. Arvin recently shared a huge thickum woman's paper maché bust that I adore. He said its from CB2 & it reminds him of Parisian decor. I love this French apartment tour too! It is both organic and curated. I think original art is one of the most important elements. I wish more people would go to galleries, support local artists! I do like this format of commenting on a style video, however - - - I have seen other influencers be rude and it bothers me when they take another persons hard work and trash it. Once I saw an interior designer say that interior shutters (aka plantation shutters - awful term) were tacky. I know people that spent thousands on these shutters in their home because of the function they provide in hot climates. I unsubscribed, there is no excuse for rudeness. Keep it classy!

Dry flowers. Bad feng shui. Love how you take inspiration and incorporate into style. Maybe consider a graphic word art piece with Paris Texas or Texas Paris. The movie poster has a dark horror movie vibe to it. You can prob get a graphic artist on Etsy to create for you like pink background and your favorite font.
