Hello, I have a new case, my RF factor was over 650, my sed rate was 60. My doctor says I have severe RA. I am on methotrexate and I was fatigued before and I still am. After sleeping off and on all day yesterday, I slept through the night last night, woke up this morning and felt "off." I drove a mile to get a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. i ate the sandwich and had about 4 drinks of the coffee, and I couldn't wait to lay down. I lay down and slept 3 more hours. This is ridiculous. Does eating food make this disease worse? Seems like maybe the energy to digest food takes you from low energy to empty energy instead of providing some oomph.

@@alexstokowsky6360 I feel you! My RA factors aren’t that level but I get super fatigued randomly I’ve been doing so good trying to gain weight but today I’ve only ate dry cereal and 2 ensures. I hate the feeling I can’t do it I try so hard to be positive daily I haven’t cried in days and now I can’t help but feel scared all over again. I was diagnosed at the end of last month

I got diagnosed in my 21st year after experiencing symptoms of stiffness and pain in joints and back for *one and half years* which soon deteriorated into unbearably debilitating fatigue and overall body ache. My only initial indication was the detection of a positive HLA B27 gene which my earlier doctors overlooked causing my condition to deteriorate so much. So have a complete blood scan including ESR and anti CCP, even though in case the Rheumatoid Factor might return negative but if you are going through so much agony, then the possibility of the aforementioned gene detection can shed light on whether you are potentially developing RA or not especially if there has been a genetic history in your family, either symptomatic or asymptomatic. I shared my story because I think there has been a misconception that only people of 40s or 50s age group are susceptible to such arthritic or rheumatic disorders. However, the truth is that in the recent years since the pandemic, there has been a rise in autoimmune diseases, which makes sense because intense viral infection are said to activate the gene causing this misery. I hope you find relief soon. Please don't hold back from testing due to the age factor because as I said, post covid, no one is really safe from the odds of having a haywire immune system. My teenage sibling also got diagnosed a few weeks ago. Also just to be on safe side, keep having multiple doctors' recommendations about your test report in case your complaints are met with disbelief or misdiagnosis by the first or second doctor as that's what happened with me. I wish you all the best :)

Hi I’m wondering if this type of fatigue is normal with all types of rheumatic diseases? I have SAPHO and have extreme exhaustion that comes and goes. It started before any medications. Do you have any videos on the more rare rheumatic diseases? Thanks

I don't know if anybody has the answer to this I hear so much about medications to take. But they're all bad for your liver. Sounds like a no-win situation here and take the medications. And it can ruin the inside of your organs what to do I don't know. Is anybody have any good answers for me today. I have had our RA. For a year. And just been taking ibuprofen for inflammation. In pain. Seems to help. But this also is bad for your liver.??????
