What worked for me....non-toxic ...cheap as chips...warm water to cover your feet in a foot bath tub...then add a cup of white vinegar and soak for 20-25 minutes everyday ..try to trim the nail as best you can..you have to be patient because you will need to do this for 3 to 5 months...I am free of toenail fungus. ..and wish it to work for you too😊

I have reduced sweets significantly, start drinking 1st thing in the morning squeezed lemon, ground cinnamon and a spoon of honey into warm 400ml glass of water. Down it on one go. Three months later nails were clean. I also keep the routine for life

I have used different pharmacy antifungal solutions but didn't help .I made a solution with coconut oil with a few drops of tea tree and oregano oil and worked miraculously after a short time and never came back

@@Pandabby007 Tea Tree and oregano oil should be available at any pharmacy. An alternative would be any health food store. As noted by the doctor, the nail needs to be thinned as much as possible for the oils to penetrate through the nail to kill the fungus that has entered the nail bed.

@@dcwatashi During the course of treatment, it's important to keep the feet dry and exposed to air as much as possible, however, if your feet are under the covers in bed, their not getting a lot of air anyways, so wearing socks is probably just fine as long as they don't cause your feet to sweat. Various topicals, like Vick's, bleach or idodine can stain, so it's better to stain socks rather than expensive bedding. lol

Although my husband was going to a foot doctor, and my husband is a diabetic, he ended up having his leg amputated at the knee. I'm not blaming the doctor entirely, but... I haven't seen my husband since before Christmas as he had to be life flighted to another state where he could receive better care. Over the years diabetes has really ravenged his body. I think that few people know how terrible a disease it is. Thanks for your videos.

When my feet get too "rough". I've used sand paper, lotions, changing socks, buying new boots, more frequently; and over the counter medications. Everything works, the more I go at it. But if I slip, and let it slide, I know it comes right back. It's effort; but because it's feet and we all work all day. I think we don't take our feet health, that serious. Unless we're active around summer, and plan on going swimming. Best of luck to everyone.

I got yellow fungus under my toenail once while in the navy once. I asked medical about treatment and they told me the drug for it would take an entire year to fix it, and I wouldn't be able to drink the year I was on it. I said "it takes a sober year of pills to treat a tiny area under my toenail?". He said back "yes its a very unsatisfying thing to treat." I told him I'd take care of it myself and bought 3 kinds of antifungals, peroxide and rubbing alcohol. I then used my dremel to grind off my entire nail down to blood, wiped it in rubbing alcohol, then peroxide, then used all 3 antifungal creams on it that day and after my shower in the morning. Fixed the problem right up.

My mum’s diabetic and developed a severe case of nail fungus on her fingers. I rinsed out a bottle of nail varnish (with nail polish remover), washed and dried it (soak up excess water using cotton bud/q-tip). Then I filled it with tea tree oil. This made it easy for her to apply it to her nails without using a cotton bud/a-tip which soaks up so much of these expensive oils. It’s easy to tell if the treatment works. You’re able to see new fungus free nail coming out as the affected nail grows out. But also make sure your sugar levels are in check. High sugar levels will cause fungus to grow.

I killed my toenail fungus by grinding/trimming down my toenails and then soaking with 300ppm bleach water mixed with dish detergent. I'll do Vicks pre-treatment next winter. Right now, I wear mostly sandals. Thanks for the video from Dallas. May 2023

Awesome video. I suffer from foot fungi. I will agree fully with changing your socks. I work on my feet. If I don't change my socks my feet will be soaked by end of the day. I used NonyX with daily cleaning (soaking, slowly cleaning) and over about 4 months I saw a remarkable difference. I was able to clean off the top layer of my nail and really get to the fungus underneath. It takes time. Stick with it!

I used clear iodine in the morning and coconut oil in the evening every day. I also clipped and filed my nails weekly after soaking in vinegar and water. My nails are almost completely healed.

Have been trying for ages to get rid of fungus on one foot (not as bad as shown here) & got rid of it using an over the counter treatment which worked for all but the big toe. subsequently tried a few different over-the counter medications, without success & went on to try mouthwash (not sure all of them have anti-fungal ingredients, so looked for one of each with CPC or LAE, but neither was successful). Vick's also failed me; my latest is surgical spirit...but perhaps too early to say; been less than a fortnight so far... Have also tried apple vinegar in the past...possibly they all need much longer than I allowed?

It took me 30 years to get fungus free toenails. I used Daktarin. I found that it is important to use it whenever there is a mild feeling/sensation on my toenails. When already in bed and I feel something, I get up and put the lotion on. My toenails grew thicker and not longer so progress was slow and re-infection occurred. I finally purchased a manicure kit and filed my nails thin, Now the toenails grew and I succeeded in the infection growing out. I love Vicks Vapor Rub, I use it for any itch I have. It even worked on a rash I had

I've cured my toenail fungus with daily application of topical IODINE! I've also recommended using on any callouses. Along with getting the correct amount of Essential Fatty Acids in your diet, will cause your callouses to literally fall off within months ( plus extremely healthy for other reasons too)! Depending on how fast your nails grow, is the only answer for those who want to know how long it takes to kill and cure your fungus!

My doctor has told me to not use IODINE continuously for more than 7 days because it is absorbed through the skin. The IODINE bottle's label says the same thing. I use IODINE for 7 days, then switch to bleach or two weeks and then back to IODINE and repeat the cycle. In the morning, when the application has dried, I top the nail and rub Vick's Vapo Rub and the surrounding toes and between them. The Vick's provides it's antiseptic properties and also provides a barrier to prevent moisture from reaching the fungus. I'm 4 months into the treatment and it seems to be working, but the nail is growing extremely slowly. I suspect another year before the nail fully grows out.

I tried tea tree oil but it works very slow even with combination with vinegar and banking soda trestment. Ordinary Chlorine worked wonders both to my fingers and toes. It can show up again after a months then i apply again.

@@Rezisorss that’s what tea tree oil does! And what any goal of nail fungus treatment, is to dry it out. Fungus needs moisture to live and drying it out is part of killing the infection.

I just soaked the nail in Clorox for about a minute then rinsed the foot with water. I used a shot glass in the shower. Did this for 5 days straight. Killed it. But it does take a while to grow out the black under the nail.

I did the same and it healed it but one toe which I call the mother fungus where it all started. I should do it again more often it is almost healed just very slow as I am not doing it too often. I swear when it was itching it really helped it heal.

Been having this problem for about 8 yrs. Was embarrassed because of the dark toenails. Tried all kinds of things, nothing worked. Just did a cruise, two weeks ago and didn't give a "Fug" about finally wearing sandals, with dark toenails. My girlfriend was like, no you're not walking around with your toes out, no socks. We laughed...........because I didn't care anymore and I just gave up. But after watching the video and reading these comments..........I will give the ointments a try tomorrow. Thanks

I found a half hour soak in white vinegar helps soften the thick nails enough to cut them . the damaged nail bed needs to be cleaned up to keep the nail from getting thick again .

I had really bad toenail fungus for years. Nothing would clear it up permanently. Then I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. My doctor immediately put me on a cocktail of antibiotics, antifungal and other herbal remedies. Through the course of my treatment, my toenails cleared up completely and has not returned. I was two types of antifungal medications and taking 100B prebiotic. If you have severe toenail fungus and a whole host of other weird symptoms, you need a Lyme doctor to properly diagnose and treat you.

Vicks did absolutely nothing for my toenail fungus. OTC fungal ointment helped some. Rx treatment (topical) was a game changer. After about a week, the portion of my nails affected became detached from the nail bed. I was able to scoop the dead fungus out and trim the toenail back so continued applications would totally cure it. I still have one nail that continues to grow thicker rather then longer but, I'm gonna beat it on that nail too.

@@yayhay7822 - I use Clotrimazole (a liquid) for five days and Terbinafine Hydrochloride (a paste) for the next two days. I apply the medicine twice per day. I was instructed to use this for three months.

Huh... the 2 problems with vinegar are that I hate the smell and I need to do a foot soak which is a whole hastle with bringing water in my room (only place I'm comfortable soaking my feet for 15 minutes). Gonna definitely have to try Vick's

Well that was interesting, and I thank you. Note that my toenails grow at about 2mm per week and my fingernails at about 3mm per week. My hair used to grow about 1cm per month but now it's down to probably half that. Interesting Vapour-rub use, I used it as an under arm deodorant for a while, worked quite well.

Thank you for your video, Re garlic, to get rid of the smell, cut the clove in half and remove the bit in the middle ( usually green ) . Also a small piece of garlic, rubbed on a sty ( no, it doesn't sting) 3-4 tines a day will make it disappear! My eye surgeon once refused to give me an eye injection because I had the beginning of a sty...he gave me a script for antibiotics. He then said to me " I suppose you want to use your magic garlic ?". No contest lol, I gave him back his script! Crushed garlic can also be used as a topical paste on an infected bite....my daughter was bit on the finger by a white tailed spider, I used crushed garlic on it. My GP said I had probably saved her finger note: "Necrotising arachnidism is a type of skin inflammation and ulceration that is caused by the bite of some spiders. Occasionally, the reaction is so severe that the person loses large amounts of skin and needs extensive skin grafts". Sorry for the long response, but I do love garlic!

Along with your primary antifungal treatment, I would suggest that you grind up some Borax in a mortar and pestle, about 1/2 teaspoon, and sprinkle it into your shoes. It will suppress fungal growth in the shoes and help prevent you from reinfecting yourself. Borax is a pure, inexpensive boron compound (boron and water).

We appreciate you watching and contributing! I try not to do the "gross" patient nail videos (I just didn't feel great recording patients with these health issues). There are many, many videos out there doing that already. 😅 My favorite combo would be a scissor-like clipper (found for around $10 on amazon), a cuticle clipper for loose skin, and a nail file should be all that is needed in most cases. How about the Dr. Scholls nail revitalization kit. Its a UV light application to kill the fungus. I can't seem to find many reviews but figured I'd give it a shot. It takes 1-2 months to kill nail fungus and about 6 months to see new healthy nail to grow back from the base. There are so many videos with so many similar solutions. It’s hard to know which one really works. Another clinician says to use Vaseline mixed with Baking Powder or hydrogen peroxide. So I smear the mixture of Vaseline with baking powder on it, and then cover it with a large Band-Aid for 12 hour. Then I uncover it and use hydrogen peroxide with an old sonicare brush head, and let the Soniccare do the cleaning. 🤷‍♂️

Doc how about cold pressed organic coconut oil. Apparently it possess 5 antis. Anti septic, Anti viral, anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, anti fungal all in one coconut oil. Would that be recommended to rub on toes as well ?

I have fungus on my left hand thumb. I've already done a lot of treatments: Infrared, acid, differents nail polishs that make the nail stronger, vick and some medicine. The only thing that happened was my nail getting less breakable. I will try your tips, thanks!

Try a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar wrapped with a bandaid three times a week at bedtime. Only for 1-2 weeks. The cotton doesn't have to be sopping wet either. Squeeze it out and cut it down to fit the area. You will have a totally healthy nail within 6 months.
