Thanks for all the video's in the recent years if everyone knew how hard it was to make these videos . being your own director,producer.edit this an edit that playbacks how many runs you drive the red Barn for testing, setting up everything from mounting to gas to mileage having babies fatherhood keeping wife happy as well hard working Man right here appreciate everything you do for us believe me we do care keep the videos coming lol

Thank you! It definitely has gotten harder with less time and sleep, but it’s still fun to make whatever I can. It’s been hard to accept the productivity drop and not being able to do as much, but I guess that’s life haha.

Thanks Vortex. I didn’t know that Uniden had so many different models. The DFR9 visually is one of the nicest in my opinion. I got the R7 early and its been fantastic. When the R8 comes out I might upgrade. Look forward to your full review on it.

I've had the R3 since it came out and still break it out from time to time. Then stepped up to the R7 for the arrows and performance it's a beast. Now I went with a R4 and absolutely love it and run it with the R7 without having the kband on. I live in an area where they run a low powered K band that I ran into this morning at 23.989 and it gave me almost a 1/4 mile alert. Decided to take the V1G2 out the glove box and plug her in turn around and it didn't pick him up at all then plugged back in the R4 and left the V1G2 plugged in as well and again the V1G2 stay silent while the R4 alerted to him maybe a 1/4 mile then when I turned around again almost 3/4 mile the R4 went crazy again he was only running his back antenna the R4 is a true beast for sure now can't wait for that R8

The R3, R4, and R7 are the only ones currently offered on Uniden's website. There are none of the Discontinued Items section. I own the DFR9 and R3 and am satisfied with both. The R3 is my main, with the DFR9 and a Whistler Z 31R+ as backups. The Whistler has been junk. It reads K bands as KA and vice versa. I sent it in for repair and it was replaced by one which did the same thing. Plus, the range was 1/4 mile and less. Sometimes, it wouldn't register until after the squad car passed in the opposite direction as if it picked the rear radar. Cobras have been even worse. I had good, long range Escorts and Whistlers in the past, but Uniden has been right there with them as far as dependability. I am happy.

@@zero8246 hey man, make sure you turn X band on if you live in Ohio. On Uniden detectors it is automatically turned off but Ohio is one of the only states that still uses X band. Also keep in mind that these aren’t cop detectors, they’re radar detectors. That means the cop has to have their radar on, or has to have a radar unit in the first place. Hope this helps.

My R7 has saved me from plenty of tickets, the range on this thing is awesome. I live in Texas so my K-band is turned off and no issues. Watching ur channel helped me in my decision on choosing the Uniden R7

Much like snoozeflu, I too enjoy the content/channel. However what i want/need is not all the updates/latest gadgets/attachments yet also want/need a solid window mounting system for my New Valentine V.2. My older standard redline detector served me well over 15 years before it expired. My primary focus/requirements are strictly highway/interstate long distance detection. As fr as city/town detection goes, I just keep aware of the speed limits and am good to go. Still, I do enjoy the channel.

One thing to keep in mind is that while the advertised retail for the R8 is $700 the advertised retail for the R7 is $600. You say you can get the R7 for under $500 but that's on the open market. Once the R8 gets on the open market it will also be available at a reduced price, probably around $550-$599. For $100 more you're getting the added features of being able to make changes to the settings via Bluetooth and repositioning the useful buttons so you don't have to search for them on the side of the radar detector. The only people who are going to pay the full retail price are those who can't wait and just have to buy it on Advance order at full price.

Any idea if Uniden has a detector with an option to run a radar cable sensor that can be mounting on the front grill and a rear sensor cable long enough to mount near the rear window? Rather have the radar detector hidden and out of the way.

None jam laser. R8 Will feature laser model detection. All that does is tell you what type of laser the officer was using to hit you.

I've had the R1 for three years. Great detector but not durable. Funny enough, its detection ability is still 100% but you can't hear anything. Reason is the speaker stopped working. So as an alternative, I started using the external audio jack which I connected to a small powered speaker. That worked for a while, a couple of months. Now there's no audio at all, so it's time to upgrade and spend some money. 😞

I got a question sir a couple of them maybe you can help me out okay there are free does it lock out vehicles any kind of vehicles making your alarm set your radar detector going off too much or does it r4 or something like that and does the r3 going to have the laser block or something or is it just the four up to the seven or the eight please let me know cuz I in my radar kicked the bucket I had it almost 8 years it did pretty good and then they kicked the bucket until it wouldn't are free to let you know about the cameras too and you know stuff like that please let me know which one to buy cuz I really ain't got a lot of money but I need a pretty decent one I live you know I drive everywhere in the city out in the country all that highway too thank you please get back with me let me know thank you or send a video to me which one you think would be the best but I ain't got a lot of money thank you

You know me I buy just about everything that uniden took king after the redline R4 workout alright for something new r3 has been retired r7 finally just left it on segments and it stays pretty quiet now waiting on the R8 now I think this may be the last radar detector that comes out but don't quote me on that automatic updates on WiFi now they do that . That would be the game changer arrows are nice auto lockouts are nice but automatic updates without hooking it up to a PC game changer

Don’t get the R3. Myself and many others have experienced issues with the speakers quitting on them. Mine broke in 3 months and that seems to be the case with several other people as well. Which having no sound renders them useless. Go read Amazon reviews.

I have got to stop listening to these videos while driving (wife controls it). It never fails, the detector alerts in the video and I go spastic, hitting the brakes and looking around for the cop, only to see pissed off motorists, no cops and a wife laughing her butt off. Then, I feel stupid. Every. Single. Time. One of these days, I'll ignore it and end up cited.
