Once you take it below sloar rays can reach, switching the solar charge for the hull reinforment is the best option as the seamoths survives a bit longer hostile attacks.
Makes sense! Although if you’re already going into those deeper areas I would probably switch to the cyclops or prawn suit since they’re more suited for those areas
This was really useful. Personally, I'd switch out the sonar to hull reinforcement. Bonesharks can make a lot of damage in just a few hits, and you might take a bit of extra damage if you bump into a rock or cave wall.
Respect respect, I usually hit bonesharks with perimeter defense before they have a chance to attack so I don’t often get the chance to get value out of hull reinforcement since I have perimeter defense to keep things back before they get close, your points are definitely valid though so I see where you’re coming from! :)
Good vid but I'd actually say that either hull reinforcement or seamoth storage module are better than solar charager. Seamoth doesn't consume that much energy (Unless you spam the shit out of sonar and perimeter defense system) and realistically you will not run out of energy before your inventory is full or you finished what you were meant to do.. And you can always have a spare power cell or two in worst case scenario and then if one is fully used - refill it on reracharger or from moonpool by putting it in seamoth. You can store spare powercells in the storage from the storage module so you don'tl lose any space AND you get Additiional space to store resources (And subnautica actually doesn't have a lot of spacei in your inventory so having additional space is always welcome.) And thanks to Seamoth being the fastest means of movement in the game you can return to your base to put the resources in storages and recharge the seamoth really fast, unlike the slow Prawn suit or the bulky Cyclops hull reinforcement is better for biomes with a lot of terrain you can bump into like Underwater Islands or Crag Fields. It will make you repair seamoth less frequently. And I'm not even accounting for late-game ion power cells.
I understand what you’re saying, although I personally think that having both the reinforcement and perimeter defense is overkill since they sort of serve a similar purpose? In the sense that they protect you better from creatures but PD does it better, I agree that storage is incredibly useful tho since just a few tools can take up one too many slots in your inventory lol
@Crimxsen Ah...No? Hull reinforcement doesn't actually protect you from the fauna. It reduces the amount of damage you take from ramming into walls/surfaces by 50% (or more in case you're insane and decide to put multiple modules in it) . It's a side-grade that is useful in caves (Mushroom cave being a notable example) and biomes like underwater islands where you can accidently ram into those floating pieces of land, carg field which is a rather mountainous biome and mushroom forest because of those damn mushroom trees. It's a pretty niche side-grade that is useful only in those specific biomes. It's useless in other biomes with more spacious zones like grand Reef, Mountains, bulb zones (I'd reccomed to never go there with a seamoth though lmao), sea Treader's path etc. So I'd rate them like: Storage module > Solar charger > Hull reinforcement.
@@NoOne-fu2qt O- whoops, now I look strange, in that case I would def put the reinforcement at the bottom as well since I rarely bump into stuff unless I’m looking away from the screen or something
