Branded Lore accurate tournament. It is very funny that every fusion monster that is present in this game can be teched into Albaz decks. Is insane how resistent the deck is to anything, even Konami plans.
Aside from puppet lock, branded is what every deck should be imo. If every deck were built to be around the power level of branded, we’d have a much more fun game
I’m honestly so sick of how much special treatment branded gets from Konami and how much we have to suffer for it. I will say props to the OCG for at least hitting the deck for once it’s rare for TCG to ignore a deck like this
Beating Abohmod 2 times in the wcs qualifier is one of my biggest achievement (going 2nd both games. Moreover, after the 2nd game, he even went to the Floowandereeze discord channel to confirm that if he was facing me. It was an honor to discuss with him about the game)
The yubel support is a lot cheaper to craft than I thought it was gonna be. The only UR maindeck is Nightmare throne with the rest being the extra deck fusions which at best you only want 2 spirits of Yubel and 1 of the super poly target.
I made the call that both the Fusions were going to be UR, Nightmare Throne I was on the fence of it being SR, thought Spirit was going to be SR, knew Samsara would be SR, and thought the Grave Squirmer were going to be SR, and thought Mature would be R. I wasn't far off.
you actually want to play 3 spirits of yubel in the main deck optimally and if youre referring to phantom of yubel for the extra deck thats another 3x of
What aethxn said. I'm currently using 2 and am working for the 3rd Phantom, and currently run 3 Spirits since it lessens the need for shuffling back one for Phantom and it isn't that much of a dead draw in the deck.
@@Ai_s_a01 thanks! I've been waiting for this deck ever since it came out in the TCG, so I knew what I was going to do right away, knew what I wanted, and was pretty accurate based on how the deck felt like on the rarities. Now it's time to see how it plays in Master Duel.
It is always cool to have new strategies in the meta. It will always refresh things, especially if the meta was under a extreme dominance of a Tier 1/0 deck (Snake-Eyes) for so long. But it is also detrimental to see how players swarm a deck to a point that suffocates the variety of strategies that could have surged due to the arrival of a new good deck. For entertainment purposes, because in the end these tournaments are for video content, it is not a good thing. At least not yet because its still fresh...
I can agree with the overall massage but “it’s always cool to have new strategies in the meta” is something I have to disagree with. Because there’s things like Kashtira that are just so inherently toxic and decks like Tearlament that are just so inherently broken and oppressive that even brand new are just so miserable for the game
Yea my buddy who constantly plays branded started throwing in the loving defender months ago just as a superpoly target since i was the only person on yubel at our locals for months and got so many players their on random decks having loving defender in the extra deck and superpoly in the main or side for when they play me lol still taken 1st multiple times before phantom but still hurt when it did seem to come out of nowhere. Going to suck seeing that become a regular thing this format lol rip
Watching branded puppet lock with nothing but a foolish burial + any 2 monsters in the game made me realize, one fiendsmith comes out, Beatrice will be way to accessible even in yubel, snake eyes, any deck basically. This means making a Beatrice, then linking with the lacrimosa in any combo will just be a puppet lock. Sanctifire isn’t even the problem card now, it’s either puppet, or Beatrice. One or both has to go, but knowing Konami way too well, I’m calling it right now write this down, they are either going to BAN SANCTIFIRE or NOT BAN ANY of the interactions that allow puppet locks. That’s just the ultimate Konami move. Gimmick puppet nightmare and Beatrice should BOTH be PRE BANNED for when fiendsmith comes out. Let them make the double field omni, OR make a Caesar, not literallt do anything in the game including playing with yourself because your opponent can’t summon. Banning Beatrice also kills cancerous transaction rollback combos like getting all your board breakers hand ripped by eradicator, Angel of blue tears setting D barrier from deck, getting Elemental Bursted, getting Thunder of Ruler’d when tenpai comes out because it turns off battle phase freezing tenpai, and plays around evenly and yubel randomly killing you. It’s all just too unfair it is literally pick up your deck and shove your cards up your opponents graveyard. Please dkayed I’m manifesting that this reaches you and you say something to Mr Konami himself.
I really like the Promethean line. Its really strong in the grind game combined with duelittle chimera. In some situation i added back the ash i used on maxx c on turn 1 with chimeras effect which provides and extra disruption that isnt just a monster negate. Definitely prefer the promethean version
For the 2nd game of the grand final, if Zulibo let the effect of anaconda copy deployment go through that would have ended Abo’s turn right? He can only go into albaz or cartesia then no more special summon. There was no need to change anaconda effect if it’s not copying a super poly, save it for whatever the anaconda summon. Zulibo could potential have game next turn and thus winning the series.
Abo and ZuLiBo put on one of the best matches Ive seen in ages. Both decks were great (and not just picked up from Dkayed's website) and the skill on display was amazing. People mad at Branded are not accounting for how good the player has to be to pull off some of that stuff (outside of puppet lock of course)
Are you being sarcastic? All that happened was one guy flipped a bunch of easy fusion cards in one duel then the other guy missplayed in the 2nd duel, and the same guy bricked in the 3rd duel 😂
Omg this branded player is xrazy and original lopk at how he puppet locks everyone except unlike otjer branded players he does it while having a few yubel cards in his deck, incredible genius!
although puppet lock is cringe, albo still genuinely got skill, piloting an old deck that should've already been dead, as newer decks generally put up more negates & floodgates than branded
@@asole100 beckoning lets you double summon and gates allows you to summon from the grave. So either spirit, og, or lotus to extend your plays. They put you directly into link climbing. They aren’t “great” cards initially but in this deck they are the mvp
@@nickowens7680 Exactly it requires other cards for any of those effects to be useful, and if those are the only two engines you pulled you're going to lose because you'll only be able to end on Rage therefore the reason I say those cards aren't as busted as you're making out to be at least not on the level of Snake Eyes's one card combos.
I can craft Yubel any time I want, I negated a Yubel and after Skill drain and the fusion and the others two Yubel still reflected the damage to me, can avoid negates too with destruction from hand for me it is the first best deck on long turns, you can grind opponent easy only chance the opponent had like me with FK is: have the damage on board and SP to avoid Spirit in battle fase

Not really. Ban Branded Fusion but give them back everything else. Like take away branded fusion and they have to actually work to get to Mirrorjade the actual problem card and they can’t set up puppet lock anymore.
Bad players just want to use it to Turbo out Crimson Dragon, which mainly got used for King Calamity abuse. I've seen a neat build on Plunder Patroll of all things though, and I'm finding a Bystial Engine focus works pretty well.
@@metalmariomega The best use of it is in RDA archetype imo, Even it cab be played in Magistus lockdown deck (It's not recommended since Magistus combos easily get rekt by handtraps)
Not really. The problematic fire decks are snake eyes and rescue Ace. What makes these decks broken? Flameberge and Turbulence. The issue is the resource loops centered around these cards. Removing Princess does nothing R-Ace and is a minor inconvenience to Snake Eyes

@@anandhu487 yea that play is foul !! however in meta with ridiculous deck such as fire king snack eyes which is all about recursion and follow up play each card generate hella advantage ! the best way to counter that is simply to prevent them from playing the game ! i'k that doesn't justify the the play and how toxic it's yet i wanna add as someone who experienced both metas the branded mirror is way more fun !!
@@mochanomocha No. Yubel is so much less obnoxious and toxic deck of a deck then branded it also has so much more variance in gameplay. But more then anything else Yubel is just funny.

Bro I don’t get people that have such brain dead opinions. Ok let’s say we have 1 tier 0 deck. Sure it has no equal but at least rogue contenders can plan against it and only have to worry about it. Now let’s say there are multiple tier 0 decks. Now everyone who doesn’t play these deck is absolutely screwed with no ability to plan and *every* game being miserable instead of every few games. The problem *multiplies* not be reduced. We need less broken decks *not more*
@@hemadee "Tiered" is the term for decks that stand out as being especially powerful. There will always be decks that are better then others. Its impossible to bring even half let alone all decks to the level of a deck like tear or snake eyes. Even if you could you would just be super power creeping the game. They cant even print that much support The answer is to nerf broken decks, not intentionally break the game further.
Code talker, baron and every generic like that will end up ban cause they made slow deck capable of otk . Yubel and cent are perfect example of balance deck until you mix with generic
Nice to see branded W, And yes best way to play yubel right now until the fiendsmith released is 3 throne 1 spirit 1 yubel 1 phantom in non-yubel deck, + 3 super poly and the other fusion if your deck has slot for them.
