I worked wit a girl that did the same thing. I would always tell her: "put some bass in ur damn voice, ur not a 5yr old." Or if she was caught talkin about ppl behind their back, we would tell her "keep that same energy when ur in that person's face. Don't try to act all meek and timid then!" She loved to play the victim too... just like Julia... Smh.

Honestly felt bad for her, that dude was an asshole in the begining and you shouldnt be forced to deal with that shit.

@@lmaalin1042 I think she was the asshole from the beginning. You can definitely tell throughout the whole show that Julia was a manipulative ass. Even with her redemption special she was an ass.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. All my sympathy to Austin for the challenges he faced, but it was a bummer to see Stacey go home.

literally watching this just now, it fully looked like they were going to send Austin home, down to the fucking editing of the episode. i literally said WHAT when they told stacey to leave, makes no sense.

I totally agree. Her tattoo looked better, read like an actual biomechanical skull and she did the design by herself His tattoo looked bad with wobbly lines and mistakes, was flat for the most part and the rest had weird dimensional issues and the entire team needed to coach him on every step he took and I couldn't shake the feeling that without that help his tattoo would have turned out to become a total desaster.

honestly i was pretty suprised by that decision too. maybe it was the specific “skull” bit. because it was a “biomech *skull*” challenge but im not sure

Dani is very talented. She only had 2.5 years of experience and made runner up. If she had more tattooing experience, she probably would have beat Laura.

Honestly Laura’s piece was super good too but I will agree that Dani did knock bio mech out of the park.

She was ripping him a new ass with her tattoo, yet he won even tho he needed multiple people to help him on that tattoo. Also on top of that if he honestly did the whole skull in black and grey with some colored eyes then it maybe would’ve been better then what he did imo

Her attitude towards the judges when they said one of her tats wouldn't age well, she was snotty and disagreed. She still had attitude when they said how would she know how it will look in 10-15 years when she's only been tattooing 5 years. She needs to shut up and listen and learn

Yeah. I always think of bio-mechanical like H. R. Giger, but a lot of tattoos are gears / blades / pistons inside skin rips, which looks a bit corny. Cleen got way too much cred for that faded-ass looking tattoo. There was no Bio at all

If you watch this episode, you'll see that the dude at first just wanted a robot, not robotic metal elements. But he was willing to compromise and Julia was super rude about the whole thing anyway.

(I'm a tattoo artist of 15 years) Like Chris said bio mechanical is similar to H.R Giger Metal, pistons, gears etc isn't bio mechanical. Bio mech is basically organic material working in a mechanical way. If you want too see the best bio mechanical artists work then check out guy aichinson, he is a god at it. I was looking at getting a bio mech sleeve off him and when I looked into it he had a 10 year waiting list!!

He said something or did something that bothered her, maybe that reminded her of something difficult in her past, and they clashed. It happens. It's not really that big of a deal. She apologized for it in the end, and she had far from the worst tattoo of the day. Why should she have gone home?

There is _absolutely_ such a thing as too much detail. A detail challenge isn't about slamming in as much detail as humanly possible, because that muddies up the image and makes it really confusing and hard to read. It's more about keeping the detail in the right places so the image is enhanced by it. There's a delicate balance. So yes, they were completely justified in telling him he overdid the detail. He 100% did.

Part of winning is being able to work with a canvas, they have sent people home for arguing with a canvas or cutting one accidentally before. 3. He was trying to compromise, if you had actually watched the whole episode. And that sounds redundant coming from you. Going from "We don't know everything because of editing" to "He didn't seem too sympathetic or ready to compromise". How do you know that more of his compromising wasn't edited out? 4. Actually watch the episode and especially her "Ink Master: Redemption" episode which was a total disaster and then come talk to me.

@@noell1535 well in ther own shop, they can pic there own custumers, in inc master they can't. Think it's one of the redemption episodes the tattoartist ( don't remember witch one) allso have an argument with a canvas, over tattoo that in the show they get a tattoo for free, but in the shop they are paying custumers.

These are ugly as sin. Most of the tattoos on this show (at least the clips I've seen on youtube are absolute tacky disasters and I'm dumbfounded that anyone thinks this is good work.

I don't know who you are but let me tell you my story. I've loved tattoos since I was a kid. I grew up in a house of art and I always wanted Japanese tattoos. But I waited until I was 40 and had real money and could pay real artists. And also I waited until i knew what I wanted. What style of art. It ended up being different and yet so beautiful. I'm almost 70. I just got my 5th. The 4 before were large pieces, legs cost around $1,000 each. I don't for a minute regret waiting. This is permanent art that everyone will look at. What do you want it to say? Who are you? Remember it should cost at least $400-600 for a good, trained, fine art artist. Any way that's my input. 💖

@@s.v.2796 It depends on the size of the piece. I’m getting my first piece tomorrow, and it’s only gonna be a small, 1 hour session, and the tat’s gonna cost 300. But I’ve done months of research and I’m going to a very trusted shop with professional artists.

there are instances in which the artists on ink master have done a great job of compromising/complying with the canvas, like the episode in which the challenge was a pinup and an older woman wanted a tat of her husband hanging out on his car. gian karle killed it and even won that challenge for both his skill and demeanour. the judges generally do observe the artists’ interactions with their canvases as well
