It didn’t come out in 2021, but the best game I played in 2021 was without a doubt Deep Rock Galactic. If you are into coop shooters with alien bugs, funny dwarves and tons of beer, DRG is for you
How would you compare it with gtfo? I ask because gtfo, while hard to get into if you don't have a good lobby or friends to play with, is extremely frustrating but if you do get friends to play with, is such a great cooperative experience.
Blasphemous. The wounds of eventide dlc is baller and to top it off it’s free. It also changes everything in the game, new voice lines new stories, new npcs, new map, fixed bugs/glitches. Been a great time and I got it for only $8 on PS4 Christmas sale.
@@underthemayo It's a pretty good game blasphemous, with good level design/art. Also fron someone who loves classical survival horror. You should try Darkwood.
@@BertHeymans definitely, I played it on a friend's system, loved it. And replayed it again last year and it has seen some really great changes and not to mention all the elobrate and neatly woven expansion dlcs
@@underthemayo Please play Blasphemous. Even if for the art style alone, it's incredible. The gameplay is really tight too & it's great at holding the player accountable. IMO I don't think I encountered any moments which made me go "that's bullshit" aside from an occasionally unfortunate overlapping unit path. Only points against it (which some might consider a positive) is that exploring some zones triggers in-game events without it necessarily being clear to the player. Also some in-game systems & mechanics are a little obfuscated & not immediately obvious eg. the most convenient version of the fast travel system (between save points) needs to be unlocked with a large amount of in-game currency Also it's a metroidvania, which you really seem to dislike. And some progression & unlocks do require some backtracking. But 'generally' speaking, each zone still plays somewhat like a level.
If you ever do get a Switch, you really should try Metroid Dread. I know you're not a huge fan of Metroidvanias, but Dread really does reward exploration, out-of-the-box thinking, and combat mastery in a way I haven't seen in other games in the genre. Even if you don't end up enjoying it, I'd still love to hear your thoughts.
Does exploration even exist in Dread!? The maps are very small and the moment you unlock the map info (which is usually very early in an area) you know too much about your surrounding. For example, the map shows you the rooms that still have hidden items or paths which really takes the exploration experience out of the game. Also, even without getting the extra hidden missiles you are usually overpowered enough and almost all bosses die before you finish half of your missiles, so there is no real point to get all of them. The worst thing is that there is no risk for exploration because there are so many checkpoints everywhere that you can just explore each new location without even getting worried to die. I think for the same reason that Mayo didn't like RE8, he is not going to like Metroid Dread.
What’s crazy is how close you get to npcs in desthloop without being seen is crazy to me, I just got platinum on it and I could never get that close even with the aether ability. 10/10, hell no, I’d give it a 7/10.
They updated the ai somewhat recently to be less stupid, and i think its for the better. Maybe needs a bit more tweaking but i’d rather they notice me a bit too much than me be able to walk up to a group of two people standing side by side and not have one notice when i kill the other.
@@Withums That would make much more sense if true, I just platinumed it a few days ago after starting a week ago. I had a lot of fun with the game TBH, and I normally don’t care much for FPS games.
mayo on vermintide 2 " this is terrible, I cant double jump and I cant hold ALL the weapons at ALL the time, I hate having to reload and these enemies are not... how can I say it... doom like enough"
Vermintide 2 really isn't anything special beyond the spectacle of mawing down hordes. And it requires competent team, since playing it below hard is pointless.
I haven't played it but let me stick my recommandation of deep rock galactic in there. Same genre but I feel like it's much better (I'm biased, I know). It's very praised anyway.
@@KosmataBradva Almost every good horde shooter requires a competent team lmao. What's the point of emphasizing teamplay if you don't depend on others from time to time? Also it's totally possible to do true solo cataclysm runs.
@@evrimenustun9548 I don't like recommendations towards a single person that involve cooperative play. Nor factoring 30+ hours of actual investement to negate the coop element, if one wishes to solo. Therefore, I don't find Vermintide 2 a good recommendation for the content Mayo puts out, so I tell the guy so.
There was this horror game called "Rule of rose". One of the eeriest and unforgettable experience I have ever had. I couldn't finish it because I was young and it got too creepy for me. In case if you like PS1 era horror genre, do check it out. You might like it :)
Have you tried or looked into the colony management/sim genre like rimworld, oxygen not included, dwarf fortress or so? I know it's unconventional but getting into those games was such a wild experience because of how deep the mechanics were for me and i think it's worth a shot for anyone that's into deep mechanics
he specifically stated that he is not a fan of strategy and the deepest he went was loop hero, lmao. I don't think he will ever go as deep as even rimworld.
@@حسنحيدرحازم he said he would like Bayonetta more if it had an active health regen system. He doesn't have to explicitly say Doom Eternal. Ever since that game, every game has to incentives aggressive combat or its bad.
I guess you can classify devil daggers as an arcade, a game that has a simple gameplay loop and the goal is to get a high score as opposed to a clear objective
@@underthemayo hope you can play it someday. Even though it has some optimization issues since it's an indie made by a small studio from my country (Chile) it's a pretty good inmersion into the old style games such as RE, SH, Alone in the dark and clock tower ❤️
For me, the best game that I’ve played in 2021 is without a doubt, Doom Eternal. I started playing it in late January on my Brother’s Xbox One through Game Pass and I’ve had the time of my life. Now I’ve been playing the game daily on PS4, learning every new trick while also mastering the game, playing from “I’m too young to die” to “Ultra-Violence”. It has also now become my favourite video game of all time and I’m so happy that I finally got the chance to play it.
Playing it again on pc will make it feel like a brand new game if you ever get the chance, I switched from ps4 to pc after already beating the game twice and I ended up playing even more on pc than I did on console
The two games that have lingered on my mind for the year must have been Golden Light and Cruelty Squad. Absolute absurd and surreal games made by geniuses or meth heads
People are going to laugh at me but I played Skyrim for the first time last year and it's my favourite of 2021 even though it didn't come out at that time but it did receive an anniversary addition. It's probably my most played game out of my collection
I've only played Skyrim on console, which had a lot of problems. Skyrim on PC with mods and community patches seems so damn good, but I won't be getting a computer anytime soon.
@@bruhder5854 RPGs are an incredibly broad genre of experience & you definitely shouldn't write it off because one game burned you. All Diablo & Disco Elysium have in common is an isometric perspective & character stats existing. It'd be like writing off first person shooters because you didn't enjoy Battlefield 5
My personal favorite game this year was the Forgotten City. Its insane how the game was originally a mod for Skyrim, then became its own game. Highly recommend it.
I know i'll probably get a lot of shit from angry people in the comment section for this possible hot take, but i personally don't think that this year was that bad in terms of games. And my opinons on games in 2021 were very different from Mayo's videos: I really liked Deathloop, and i am interested in replaying it(by the way, i love previous games from Arkane, like DIshonored and Prey 2017); i really enjoyed Halo Infinite, and i really, really loved RE Village, and i believe it to be the best game of 2021
it's the graphics and concept of re8 tricking you. Every other resident evil game has much more gameplay than re8. Re8 is just walking with enemies after every 30 minutes
@@TheDisturbingPanda I've played RE 4(amazing game, even though i've never beaten it),5(good, and it's still one of the best co-op games out there),6(decent, but way too long for it's own good, and too ridiculous at times),7(great return to form), remakes of 2(amazing, and probably one of the best remakes ever) and 3(good, and honestly, i don't think it was as bad as some people make it out to be), and Village was still very enjoyable and a great game for me. What i don't understand is why do people(including Mayo in this video)think that if you like the old RE titles, you can't enjoy this one?
13:05 - 13.32 I find this to be rather shitty of some people. Life is short, so if you don't enjoy something enough to push through to the end, then it's best to just drop it and move on to something you enjoy. Just doing research on the later parts is enough to get a more full perspective. Of course, we live in a world where people feel obligated to continue experiencing what they dislike due to their own fault and wasting hours of their lives, so I'm not surprised if they make such petty criticisms like this.
That is like doing a book review and only getting 1/3 through it, then using spark notes to get the summary of the final chapters. Giving a presentation as if you've experienced the whole book would be a joke, just leave it at your initial impressions that you legitimately experienced if one's goal is to be genuine.
@KalebSDay I find books to be different. They're stories, so doing research on the later parts just for a basic summary of what happens after results in spoiling it and ruining the story. With games, the main focus is the gameplay, so it's not exactly a spoiler to find out if the game gets better or worse from standpoints like design, mechanical evolution, difficulty curve, etc. Sure it's not the same as actually playing the whole thing, but if what comes later doesn't look like it will address the problems then dropping out for good is fine and makes logical sense.
I respectfully disagree. Like if you want to drop the game and continue with your life, you are free to do it of course, but just dont review it. If he was gonna review the game its better if he finishes it. But thats my opinion
@Micael Santos I'm subscribed to a content creator, called Farlands Design Den, and he has reviewed several games he couldn't finish, like Zelda 2 on NES. He does a bit of research to look up if he might be missing something that would justify continuing the game, and if there isn't anything then the game playing stops as such. As long as the review is good, then I don't care if they're unable to finish it. I've played some games to completion that I heavily regret in retrospect. Tomb Raider Chronicles on PS1, for example, is a game I wanted to stop playing after slowly slogging through the final few levels thanks to unbearable pacing, as well as several points of save corrupting bugs. I only finished it just to say I finally finished all the PS1 games, and nowadays the only ones I bother replaying are 1 and 3. Another game I'm trying to finish is Donkey Kong 64, and it's such a boring game with so much back and forth wandering around and repetitive gameplay. I'm most likely just going to drop it, and I've played Bubsy 3D to 100% five times in the past, which I didn't mind much despite its glaring flaws.
As someone who loves Arkane's games to death, I was really disappointed with Deathloop. It had some good in it, but overall it just felt like dollar store Dishonored to me.
This is interesting, because almost everything I’ve seen on Deathloop has been positive (except as it relates to DRM). I’m of the mindset that if basically everyone I respect says something is good then there must be something good about it, but I can’t square that with Mayo’s review. It’s not my kind of game so I’m not sure I’ll play it myself, but I’m curious just to see for myself.
I forgot how fun the Lego games are. The fact that during the Christmas Steam Sale most of the games were 5 to 10 dollars is insane for how good they are.
@@Malefication Interesting. Maybe they were hoping she would return later in the game? (I'm just projecting at this point. Don't take this seriously lol)
Um ACTUALLY Mayo you shouldn't be so inconsiderate of people conditions what if a game reviewer only had the money to buy battle zone and no other games? Everyone's living conditions are diffrent you should really be more respectful to game reviews who can't afford video games
Best: Doom Eternal. I bought it in November and beat my first run within a week, I enjoyed it that much. During Christmas I bought the Ancient Gods DLCs, but I have yet to play them. Honorable mentions: Pistol Whip, Hitman, Vermintide 2 and War Selection Worst: Nothing bad came up in 2021, but one game that left a sour taste in my mouth from 2020 is Starbound. I went in with my expectations decently high since my friends had been enjoying the game. However, it never really clicked with me. Not really sure why, I will say I like the artstyle though.
Resident evil village was such a wierd game. Really short. Felt like the game thought i was dumb. And it got so much praise. Many people loved it. I didn't really like it.
It's crazy man. I think it's the worst Resident Evil game I've ever played, but I can't even bring up the reasons why without being attacked by RE fans. And I've never had anyone actually refute my points as to why it's bad.
@@skeletalearth yeah it's up there. Somehow resident evil fans forgot what made the originals good. But i don't want to attack them. Everybody has their own taste. But yeah. I agree with you
Still disagree with REVillage, but I can get behind with the rest, especially with the mentions of indie games like Loop Hero, The Messenger, Celeste, Unmetal, & SoR4.
I think I've played through re8 at least 10 times. I've played every numbered RE game and honestly I think it's my 3rd favorite behind re5 and re2 remake. The RE series is in a weird spot where everyone likes different parts of the series cause of how drastically different some of the games are. so one game comes off as terrible to some but amazing to to others. It's kinda crazy just how drastic opinions on the games differ from person to person.
Disappointment is worse than anger cuz you just feel deflated afterwards. I had a least 3 disappointments this year and all were on this list. (Didn't play outriders cuz I could see that shitshow a mile away)
Yup, I had 2 in 2021: RE Village and Aliens Fireteam Elite. Outright disasters like BF 2042, Outriders, CoD Vanguard, etc? I just completely ignored or avoided. AAA FPS games in 2021 overall were pretty underwhelming.
I’ve been watching since your first Marauder video. I feel like I understand what you like and don’t like in a video game, yet I’m still wondering if I should recommend this game to you because you will either like it or hate it, no in-between. Well, here goes: I’d like to see your take on the hitman franchise, more specifically the latest trilogy. If you’re like me, you’ll play it, understand it, master it, and love it. Personally I am in love with this franchise because it encourages replayability. That’s the name of the game, the solid base of it. You learn the beautiful level design, you learn your target’s routes and habits, and you find opportunities to strike. There are so many different ways to kill your target. So many. Doing so will complete “challenges”, the game’s way of giving you exp points. But challenges don’t just have to be about murder, there are many challenges that are simply about messing around in every map and discovering new things. I have over 300 hours into the new trilogy and I still didn’t 100% it. If you’re not like me, then you’ll think of this game as a very boring shooter, or a walking simulator (yes, people have really said that in reviews). Now of course there are flaws. No game is flawless and no game will ever be. The main problems are the always-online connection to earn progression, the very confusing marketing strategy, and the occasional bugs in the latest installment, hitman 3. If you are interested in buying the trilogy, you first have to understand all the different ways to purchase the games, because the best way to experience it is to play the entire trilogy all inside hitman 3. It’s a cool idea, to have all missions under one roof, all using the same engine, practically “remastering” the first two games. But sadly it wasn’t executed very well. That’s that, I’m too tired to continue, I’m gonna go sleep hoping you see this comment. Oh and one more thing, the games are on sale almost all the time, so if you feel it’s too pricey, wait for the next sale.
I was thinking something similar but I don't know about the newer hitman games. Admittedly I haven't played them though, just heard some things. I played silent assassin, contracts, and blood money and I thought they were great. Focusing on completing every level with the best rating possible really forced me to figure out the best plan and then execute it near perfectly. The open ended design of how to get through each mission is the key to how great the games are. It was a lot of fun and quite challenging.
I gotta ask, what does Mayo like in a game? Not sure why I am even subscribed to him, whenever I watch him he seems to have an air of superiority and the feeling he should stick to DOOM Eternal and nothing else.
@@blackjacka.5097 he has many more tastes other than doom. Doesn’t this video prove that? Anyway, to answer you question (I’ll try my best to, but it’s not like I’m a friend of his) : he seems to like games that have a solid foundation focused on good gameplay, and keep expanding upon it, slowly introducing new ideas and giving time for the player to master it. And if it has a good story then that’s the cherry on top
It ofc didnt come out in 2021 (and thats how i found this channel) but for me it was Doom Eternal, heck id even say its the best game ive played. I used to remember those insane moment in games where as a kid, i had certain boss fights or even normal enemies sometimes that made my heart pump like crazy, and the joy when i would finally get over them, my hands would literally be shaking after those. In Doom Eternal the whole frickin game is like that, i didnt know that was possible. The combat, the fast pace decision making, the music, the badass lore, it all feels so fckin good, and after i found out that we had so many different weapon combos, quick switching, faltering tactics (thanks mayo for all these), i knew this was the first game that i could say that id wanna play forever. i know im late and praise for this game feels kinda dated at this point, but this game changed my perspective on why/how i enjoy and appreciate games, that i wanted to get it out at least once, and apparently YT hasnt forgotten either coz it thinks this video is about Doom eternal lol.
Can the narrative stop that RE5 and 6 are "bad" games and made the series "sillier". The series was always stupid and Code Veronica is where it became a parody of itself. That Wesker vs. Alexia fight makes me roll on the floor laughing for how terrible it is. And Alfred Ashford's voice acting is laughably terrible. RE5 and 6 have more personality than RE8 at the very least.
CV isn't a core line series so I'm not counting it. Things were pretty silly with RE0 and I'm not counting that either. RE5 is when things just started getting way over exaggerated with wesker teleporting and people backflipping off motorcycles and chris punching boulders. So yes, if we're talking mainline numbered resident evil games, 5 and 6 is when things got really silly.
My favourite game that I played this year was Outer Wilds. I highly recommend anyone that hasn't played it to at least check it out, because if it's your kind of game then I guarantee you'll love it. I also played Hades, Terraria, Celeste and Hollow Knight for the first time this year, and they are all stellar games as well.
Holy crap when I got other wilds I thought it would be a cute cartoons space sim. Instead it was terrifying getting sucked through a black hole and shot out into space while my O2 runs out.
While I can say much praise for Metroid Dread after the awful Other M... I really did enjoy Death's Door. A bit simplistic in its combat design, much more interesting than Zelda on front. It's an isometric exploration-action game, you're a crow... some sort of reaper. There are times I had to pause the game because I was genuinely laughing. There was something comforting about this game as well. It's a bit on the short side, but it's polished and crafted with love. Others games I enjoyed: Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon (I love good puzzle games), Kaze and the Wild Masks (I grew up with Donkey Kong Country) and I've yet to finish Kena: Bridge of Spirits. I replayed Cuphead and finally got through Hollow Knight. I know you didn't like the twist in The Messenger, but if I were to recommend one game of this genre for your channel, it would be Hollow Knight.
Haven't played many new games in 2021, and even the ones I've played are old. Dusk was among them, and it's one of the best FPS ever. Others were Bayonetta, which is good, but DMC is better, and Metal Gear Rising, which is okay. Also played the DMC reboot, and it's dull. Guess it's the worst of the bunch.
Some one who agrees with me that Deathloop and RE8 weren't as good as people think!! To be honest RE8 reminded me of RE Survivor for some reason!! I didn't like it for pretty much reason you mentioned! Even tough I finished it in every difficulty and almost platinumed it I still find it very weak as an RE game and from it's after credit scene I don't have high hopes for the sequel... That's if CAPCOM doesn't try to reboot the series again!
I cannot believe RE Village is getting nominated for awards, even on Steam. One of the most mediocre RE games I've ever played. As an FPS, it's real bad. There are horror FPS games from the 2000s that have better gunplay, physics, and gore/dismemberment than Village. Village's sales and "overwhelming positive" reviews have likely done permanent damage to the franchise. I really don't care for what happens anymore in RE9. Should've ended with RE5 with the death of Wesker and Spencer.
@Ultra Irrelevant Nobody, Capcom is a corporate AAA company, so yeah, their no better than EA or most greasy AAA gaming companies. Between Village and RE3 Remake 2020, I haven't liked a new RE since RE2 Remake and that too had some lame cuts and changes unlike the excellent RE1 Remake 2002. I'll reserve final judgement for when the next big RE releases. Otherwise, I just want an RE starring Hunk or a great Dino Crisis or Onimusha remake.
I'd define Devil Daggers as a first-person SHMUP, similar vein to Tyrian or Geometry Wars, but presented as a first person shooter with a Z axis to worry about.
Deathloop got a 10/10 because of woke reviewers giving it a perfect score because both main characters are black. It's literally just that. Don't be afraid to say this. Doesn't make you a racist.
@@kostasspirou1010 What did I say was racist please tell me? What proof do you want? Secret recorded tape deep from within IGN and Kotaku? A peer reviewed study? We live in a racially charged time much of which is pushed by the media. This is a subpar game getting 10/10 reviews all across the board and is one of the few ever AAA titles where the protagonist and antagonist is black and one is a woman. It's obvious why this was given high scores. Believe me you are part of the problem too accusing me of racism when I said nothing racist. I didn't say the game was bad because the characters were black. I am pointing out why other would blow up the score and show favoritism due to that. It doesn't matter what the race and gender are of those characters, the game is bad regardless but the game got a bonus score for featuring the two characters that it did in a AAA title.
@@Goropemax You can like the game and give it a 7/10. There is a difference between like and perfection. Yes dude I am totally like SJWs. The people that force identity politics into games as much as they can and at times ruining it and ruining the artist's vision are just as bad as the people who say "Maybe you shouldn't do that". Totally dude. I love these BS false comparisons LOL.
didn't really play any bad games in 2021 so I'll list some of the good games I played: 1. dead cells. a fun rogue-lite that's easy to pick up but hard to master and complete on higher difficulties and the higher the difficulty the more content you get 2. dark souls. I mean... do I need to explain? 3. Halo infinite. didn't buy the campaign but the multiplayer is really fun especially with friends 4. fall guys. yeah a lot of people call this a dead game but I disagree, it's a ton of fun and it's a very chill game you'll get some really good laughs with friends
@@bruhder5854 well there have been 3 DLCs one of them is free and another one coming soon so there are more biomes enemies weapons and bosses even if you don't pay extra for the DLCs
Metroid Dread is actually easy to emulate. I recommend it even if you dont like Metroidvanias, its very action focused and the backtracking is streamlined without feeling patronizing.
The pacing of plague tale seems fitting for its hardship to the player. Slow methodolgy is appreciated there. Same as if you edited half-life with CS:GO damage values. Only when one is able to soak up the standard amount of video game damage and the game communicates so much movement potential they cant use will a player feel bored.
Hey! Just to clarify, deathloop was not done by the devs of prey, because arkane studio is actualy two studios. Where Arkane Austin made prey and i think wolfenstein, Arkane Lyon made dishonored and deathloop. It is still a letdown by a great studio, but it wasnt done by the parents of our beloved prey. Really good video by the way.
I played Back 4 Blood this year and it made me appreciate how good L4D is, hell it's funnier to play L4D with bots than B4B with a full squad, game is buggy, dull, unnecessarily loot-based and as atmospheric as subway-station monochromatic tiles. Halo Infinite was meh, they obviously spent more time tunning the multiplayer, even though Big Team Battle matchmaking is still not working and the game crashes on me at least once a day. Crappy game overall, but it's Halo I guess it's still fun to play with friends.
Tormented Souls was probably the best game I played to come out in 2021. Classic survival horror done right. Fixed cameras, limited saves/resources and lots of puzzles. Oh boy the puzzles. They were probably a little too cryptic at times. One even required a little biblical knowledge. I'll have to check out Alisa though, I haven't even heard of it until now!
You have no idea how glad I am to see someone mentioning Tormented Souls! That game was easily my favorite game released in 2021. Such a great homage to old school survival horror genre, with one of the best puzzles I've ever seen in video games! As you said, some of those puzzles are so well designed that you will actually need some "out of the box" thinking to be able to solve them. I really think Mayo should check this game out, he'll be so in love with it :)
Metroid Dread did horror better than RE 8 in my opinion, despite not being a horror game. I actually terrified with the EMMIs more than anything in RE 8.
Metroid Dread was one of the very few AAA games worth buying in 2021. Definitely better than RE Village and Halo Infinite, two games I did hope would be awesome but sadly weren't.
For anyone else who was ever tricked like Mayo was: never finish games you hate playing. Don't make yourself miserable. As Reggie Fils-Aimé once said: "If it's not fun, why bother?" You can tell you're enjoying a game very quickly. You can also tell when you're not impressed or actually hate a game really quickly too. As a writer, it is the responsibility of the artist to make your work engaging from start to finish. If it's failing at that, the player/reader has every right to move on. The work is not owed ANYONE's time, it is the duty of the artist to MAKE it worth peoples' time.
I mean yeah that is cool and all but if you’re not gonna finish it, don’t make a video or write an article reviewing it. The critic must know about every aspect of it before making a verdict whether a game is good or bad Still love Mayo, though. I’m just speaking facts here
It's crazy that I'm a ''gamer'' but didn't play any of these games you mentioned lmao. On another note, still sad to see Village on your worste list but I can't disagree with your arguments and as I look back at 7 and 8, I think 7 did a better job. That's not something that I was going to think right after beating village either.
Well, I've already heard an opinion on why it isn't great, so would you care being a * little * more specific on why RE Village is freaking amazing? I'm legit curious, since I'll potentially get to play it...
After you made the video on Celeste i fell in love with the game. i already have many hours in the game and am near completion. I really appreciate the music of Celeste in the background of the video too
You should try Shovel Knight, Rayman Legends and Shantae, I'm sure you'll love them. Each level in Rayman Legends has unique stuff happening during the gameplay, it's awesome.
I love your content and I don’t like assuming the worst, but man you sounded really pretentious during that RE8 bit. I respect that you don’t like it but that’s just how I felt lol
Wa wa wa. All the flavors in the rainbow and you choose to be salty. Play Pong: You don't have to worry about Enemy AI, inventory control, health regeneration, your crap graphics card, or story. You would have NEVER survived the 80's.
I hear RE 9 is taking heavy inspiration from the silent hill games, so I hope to fucking god it lives up and we get a somewhat spiritual successor to silent hill
@@underthemayo I’m assuming RE 9 is just gonna take inspiration from the setting, and atmosphere. All that’s been said (in leaks) is that it takes place in a silent-hill-like ghost town with wendigos and other folklore monsters. RE gameplay + silent hill’s tone, atmosphere, and story would be my dream horror game.
Mayo, If you haven't played the free Not a Hero DLC for Resident evil 7 you absolutely should! It basically combines the classic re experience with the action oriented re 4 and blends something very interesting I would like to know your opinion on it
So why would someone play the sequel to a game they passionately hated for their own subjective reasons knowing they would hate it too because its the same formula? I thought people play games for fun not to just tell others they knew they would dislike it but still played it just to prove a point. But i guess some people just have a hateful mentality when they feel their preferences are somewhat ''offended'' by developers
@@underthemayo I see....well you should give it a try you might actually like it you can buy it on steam by itself if you don't want to purchase the whole collection and if you don't like it just refund it or I dunno just pirate the game and see if you like it or not
Streets Of Rage 4 is so good 😁 and I'm glad Village is worst my biggest gripe was the story and how it f!!!ked with the lore and threw in so much bullsh!t I got fed up, this is a game where one character has Magneto powers 😂 this and RE6 are no go for me.
My top two games are still sekiro and doom eternal, still couldn't stop playing those two on pc with mods... Binding of Issac repentance is also fantastic and I've probably played that one more hours then I should admit, so yeah
Honestly. Im born 81 and Robocop was indeed the shit back then...But if you Think about it if you rewatch it Robocop is a crap hero, every Homeless could rip him apart.
Damn I do hope Resident Evil 9 is going to be good. Because from what your saying they just to much at once by mixing in RE4 and RE7 and hoping it turns out well. And if your looking for a good twin stick shooter I say give Ruiner a try. It's a really fun game and the Cyberpunk anesthetic gives you a Akira feeling. Story isn't something to cry about though. But gameplay wise it's phenomenal atleast to me. I'd give it a try and also give Hotline Miami a try haven't heard you talk about that one before curious as to see what your opinion of that game is.
Loop hero surprised me too. Not a fan of iddle shite, more of a strategy enjoyer but it turned out to be suprisingly good. Though, ending is pretty bleh. Aliens Firearm elite focuses too litle on xenomorph and too much on working Joes to be anywhere decent. Also it has horrendous linear enemies attacking you from nowhere spawning literally on you to hinder your progress. By the way, alliens literally can't attack civilians if you lure them to such.
