Mr X felt unstoppable He was the terminator He acted like the terminator He was something that changed up the board, a game changer you always had be aware of his footsteps and your surroundings and where and when to shoot there were about 4 to 5 scripted moments where he would appear Nemesis is like a braindead hulk He doesn't even try to be efficient And EVERY SINGLE ENCOUNTER IS SCRIPTED

A friend of mine played RE2 remake and on his Leon run he was TERRIFIED by Mr. X just being nearby with his loud thuds. And he’s in university, that shows how good the Mr. X chase really was in that game. Meanwhile RE3 remake was my first experience with RE3 and it was such a huge disappointment. But I digress, Mr. X had good design, he’s an ever looming threat you have to make sure you don’t get attacked by him AND the undead creatures of the RPD. Nemesis meanwhile just… exists and it’s an annoying thing when it happens. They really needed a shit ton more time to work on it to make not only nemesis good but to also make the game not half assed

Well RE5 was an awesome game if you didn't include the RE title, whereas RE3 remake (which in my opinion the original RE3 was the best RE game in the series) is an OK game at best WITHOUT the title.

No no no. The clock tower bossfight in the original isn't epic, apart from maybe the cutscene. It was designed around the dodge mechanic which only works like 10 percent of the time. Also, the tentacle variant of the boss is extremely unfair if you can't dodge perfectly. I may be bias, but the clock tower boss in the original is an absolute mess. I never felt so frustrated with a Resident Evil game until then, and it's not the tank controls. It's bad game design

YES! I loved RE2 and especially OUTBREAK because they showed the chaos of Raccoon City. The fall of the city and the lore was what always interested me the most in these games.

Was talking to a friend about this, in RE6, the scene when the bomb explodes in the city and leon is in the humvee, streets are clouded and you can slightly see people running and turning into zombies, banging on the vehicle as you drive through. So cool!

I wish they would have gotten rid of the nemesis bits and focused on that. THAT would have been awesome, and then slowly introduced nemesis throughout the first couple hours of the game. It's clear they thought Resident Evil 2 and 4 were the money makers and they spent all the time focusing on those two while ignoring 3 but putting it out to shut the fanboys up. Resident Evil 2 and 4 are absolutely phenomenal remakes, so I *KNOW* they have it in them.

Re2 and RE4 were not proper remakes. They both ruined characters re2 remake especially ruined Leon and both games cut like 30 percent of the game..... How's that a proper remake exactly?

Although it is not nearly as bad as RE3 Remake overall, the RE2 Remake arguably did not fully deliver either. As a result of its content cuts, the RE2 Remake feels unfinished to me even on its own merits (low enemy variety, barely any default music in the levels, plus the campaigns' A/B scenario structure being thrown in at the last minute and half-baked). As for the RE4 Remake, I think it is still too soon to say, whether that is a proper full effort remake. We are still waiting to see how the “Separate Ways” expansion turns out. And content from original RE4’s base game has seemingly been delayed to accompany “Separate Ways” (like the U-3 boss fight, the gameplay from “Assignment Ada”, Wesker/Ada in Mercenaries Mode, and the fourth Mercenaries Mode map).

@@seakwenz you can see that cutscene when you return to the subway with one or two (but not all three) of the items required to power the train. And oh, the scene also varies depending on whether Jill used up the barrel to kill the enemies there before.

Modern degeneracy has turned almost everyone into soul-less husks who cannot think for themselves and believe cut-scenes and cinematic hand holding gameplay are video games. Just take a look at what modernity does to things. They removed the entire RE2 soundtrack in favor of making Leon and Claire spew endless profanity. Not only is it jarring to see my once beloved altruistic heroes act like uneducated morons. But their constant belittling of their enemies who just so happen to be monsters really takes much of their menacing power away. Not to mention it also removes you from the gameplay, because tis no longer you(the player) reacting, its them.

They ruined Jill and straight up disrespected our boy Nemesis.

og re3 can be finished in 40 minutes and is the shortest game of the franchise, all of the games (except re6) can be beaten in 1/2 hours or less, including re2 remake, resident evil games are meant to be like this, that's why you are rewarded for beating the game in the shortest time possible

When I finished it I was like oh wow it's done that was fast. Maybe when I played res 3 on ps1 it felt longer because i was younger and scared. Maybe I'm just a superdupersaltyman.

@@superdupersaltyman the main problem is people went into this expecting to much, if you look at it, both the original and the remake where not done by the main RE team, the original was originally the side game not Veronica, and is why it's shorter then the others. the two missing areas from the original, while gone, where not that important and the other areas are fleshed out more to compensate. The original was also more "actiony" then RE 2, so even that falls in line with what we have now.

I've completed it in an hour and a half. It felt empty playing through it, I was expecting to be scared like how I played RE2 remake (still scares me today) but I wasn't, and I get scared easily

Just take a look the first speedruns when the game came out: approximately 57 minutes to beat it, which means you've only took give or take half a hour more to complete it on your first playthrough than the first speedrunners which certainly had to play it many times in order to optimize the run. This goes one of the two ways: either you're bullshitting us with 1 hour and 30 minutes time or you just didn't care about it at all to start with and then you say it sucks because you didn't just experience it properly (notice I'm not defending the remake, I'm not fond of it either, but with ANY game if you don't take the time to play it and just rush through it then it's your fault if you don't like it even though it can be bad ,as this remake certainly was).

She's definitely not wonder woman in the remake. She's actually more vulnerable than she ever was especially at the start of the game. Her writing as never been as good as it is right now. People bring up RE5 as a reference for what Jill is supposed to be when she barely has any lines. There was not time there to explore her trauma or feelings. So to me, Jill became Jill in OG RE3 and was improved in RE3R. For all the flaws this game has, Jill is certainly not one of them. Some people are just pissed she's not wearing a mini skirt anymore 😂

@@LortOfTheStones REmake 1 still holds the crown for the greatest remake ever, and the best Resident Evil game. It took all the original 1996 source material, and stayed incredibly faithful to it. They introduced new enemies, new areas, gave the appearances of the characters and clothing a respectable update. Gave the mansion and other areas some new textures, a fresh coat of paint and made it look hydrated. Didn't rearrange the rooms, kept fixed camera angles, door animations, made the character movements more natural and fluid etc. So much was brought together and done remarkably. A game Shinji Mikami and his development team should be proud of. Shitmake 2 and 3 on the other hand. Oh dear! Nothing but abortions, and should've been remade shortly after REmake 1. If you're honestly going to try and defend their decisions with what they did to these games, and are fine with it, then it's people like you who don't deserve to play these games, and should stay away from them. Because it's people like you who are the reason we're dished out these poor, pathetic, faithless, lazy excuses of remakes.

Yeah there's so many similarities to Terminator. Probably why 3 was my favorite original re game. This remake is like Terminator Dark Fate.

I mean, he kinda did it here, it just wasn't as impactful since it was so early in the game and Jill getting an actual rescue at that point would've been hilarious. Instead, he specifically targets and kills the train civilians that Jill spent the early game securing a rescue path for. Which results in an explosion where he's shown burning alive and presumably drowning in the river complete with a funny comment from Jill about him being unable to swim until Nemesis stage 2 leaps out of the river, looking to have gone through the Tyrant equivalent of a Licker transformation. The really funny thing is that this game is full of Terminator references. That specific imagery with Reese and the gas truck is utilized after Nemesis shoots down the helicopter and Jill crashes a car into him and over the side of the parking garage. The car explodes causing a huge fireball which engulfs Nemesis and Jill is relieved... then the still-functioning and now maskless Nemesis tosses the flaming wreck aside, continuing to carry out its mission. The scene even uses similar music. After the transformation, the game uses Aliens references for Nemesis instead of Terminator ones.

If you actually remember that scene, then you would know that Kyle didn't shoot the tanker. He placed a dynamite into the truck's tailpipe and the tanker exploded that way. So no.. Nemesis shooting down the rescue chopper in og RE3 was in noway a reference to the tanker explosion scene in Terminator.

@@darkdante9 I stand corrected; it was a dynamite stick. I only vaguely remember the scene. I also remember Kyle sticking a dynamite into the Terminator's endoskeleton. I never said that the RE3 chopper scene was a reference to another scene, I only insinuated that the emotional devastation of Jill in that scene was like Sarah Connor's devastation at realizing the Terminator was still functioning after the explosion.
