@@Skyhigh91100 they can all be dope , once buffed or re-worked. I have a lot of confidence in SD to do right by them. But looking at them and the empty place more currently playable cards could go is still big ooof!
The only thing I would have loved is a final look at the whole list at the end. Going through it can be a lot of (really good) information so a peek at the complete list in the last section would have help solidify it all in a real way. I know people might just skip to that, but for me having that cap would have been excellent for sythasis of information. Otherwise this was great!
I understand why Nico is at the end for the pacing, but you have to advertise that card at the front I swear it's in like half my decks and I will sub a card for it all the time. Love the video also! Since I stopped spending as much on the game vids like these really help me think smarter about my purchases.
Appreciate your commentary, and I think it's valuable for many players to understand some of the considerations when choosing how to spend resources wisely. Thanks!
please for the next tier list video remember mentioning eventual upcoming series drops or spotlight caches involving these cards. anyway love the way you split the various tiers, great insight
I explicitly did not include cards in here that will be series 3 in June. You can find a spotlight cache review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BWHT64xaHcw.html I do those monthly typically.
Love the video and always appreciate your opinions. I think it might have been helpful to put the series number up with the cards so if you are thinking of a s4 vs s5, how much you would need to save.
Using the “archetype defining” frame, is either of Namora or Cersi in that category? I think Cersi isn’t due to Viper/Lady Deathstrike Maybe Namora is, depending on the build but could otherwise be Ms Marvel/Doom?
Ive been repping Supergiant and have found her quite good at slowing down engines like Destroy or Elsa, as well as mitigating lockout cards like Hobgoblin or Prof X, while also sometimes allowing me to cook something like a Mystique or a Taskmaster of my own. She really didnt feel worth it as much when she had to compete with Leech at the same price point, but I think she will continue to do work now that I am quite expecting Bounce to swing back with the WWBN/GM buffs
Amazing format for the tier list, only thing I’d like differently is maybe some kind of visualization of the groups when you’re done so I can screenshot and save it lol
Spent the whole video wondering where he'd place Nico, thought I missed something before the end. As a dolphin she's the one card I truly need, but I missed her with 3 keys on her spotlight, and she's never once appeared in the shop...
If you had to choose between Annihilus and Loki, which one would you choose? Loki seems more fun and i like that quinjet type deck while annihilus who's very strong just seems to get stale with his deck
My thought process was the same when High Evo was released: I thought I won't like his playstyle. He was so hyped up that I bought him and I regretted it. So my suggestion is to always get the card that you enjoy to play regardless of strength. Having a strong card is pointless if you don't even want to play it. That's why I think you should get Loki.
Good guide Question though: US Agent or Namora? Have tokens enough for one (and Jean after her drop) and no one else I'm missing is really relevant to anything
Caiera is great in Zoo, Patriot, move, Phoenix force. PPL sleep yo! Got back to infinite 2wice using her in a zoo deck immediately after getting her. Haven’t used her alot recently but anything other than destroy where your scaling a 1 drop like Kitty, you want that protection and Armour is fine, but she won’t protect a Blob in a lane she’s not in!😊 Giant will have her Super Day too!
Love your content, but absolutely hate SD. videos like these really show the huge problems i have with the philosophy of card acquisition. As someone who loves to build tons of decks and have the ability to play best decks instantaneously this game sucks late game. tokens are so hard to come by or are so expensive that they essentially mean nothing. Everyone on reddit says the main way to get cards is through spotlight, but both keys and tokens are so valuable that i'm never incentivized to get the lower tier/less useful or interesting cards. It feels so greedy. just put a gacha system with lower percentage of getting series 4 cards back into collector cache
@@HooglandiaSnap haha this is almost true. I’m more than willing to drop $$$ for series 5 cards that I can’t get with the resources I already have. Like if I use my keys and there’s a card that drops I absolutely want I’m more than willing to buy bundles credits gold etc. but series 4 cards are where it hurts
Great video, but I feel like you missed out mentioning the upcoming Series Drop as part of your analysis, as that would also heavily factor into how viable some of these cards are to purchase right now.
Not only have I liked this video, I'm going to save it in a playlist to refer to future deckbuilding options in the coming seasons. This was a very informative and helpful video to not only show off potential archetype builds, but also a way of mitigating collection grind by giving reasonable alternatives that are worth considering as you progress.
This video might not be valid for future seasons - it might even change tomorrow or after any OTA/patch. Jeff keeps releasing up-to-date ones regularly though so I'd say keep following those.
Depends on what you want to play most.Though the Werewolf + Anni deck is best your other choices are Werewolf Bounce or Anni Hawk / Anni Clog. Do keep in mind that both cards were last seen in spotlights in January and datamine shows that they won't be in any future spotlights until the end of July . Edit: I think there is a high chance of either of them appearing in Spots in August or September (if you're willing to wait).
They are in really different deck, and depend on what you already have: Annihilus - Clog deck - Requires Sentry, Hood - Sentry is getting nerfed in near future - Can be combined with galactus or darkhawk - Easy to play, really predictable, but fun to clog opponents board Werewolf by Night - Bounce Deck - Best with beast, Nico, falcon, Hit monkey and other small on reveal cards - Harder to play, less predictable, but can win big. - Werewolf is getting massive buff (4->3 cost) If you like easy to play deck, get Annihilus. If you want a challenge, get Werewolf. If you don't have their keycards (Sentry, Beast), skip them.
TLDR: Wait before buying either of them to see what tomorrow's OTA will do. Right now, Annihilus is definitely better than Werewolf. Annihilus used to see a lot of play before Leech buff forced high cost On Reveals largely out of the meta. Meanwhile, Werewolf hasn't been played in the meta in a considerable time. That being said, the leaked OTA, if true, does have potential to change this significantly tomorrow. Supposedly, Sentry will be nerfed to be a 4/8 that generates a 4/-8 Void, which will cut the Sentry Annihilus combo by 4 points. Meanwhile, Werewolf is becoming a 3/1, which is likely to be better, though how much better isn't exactly clear. Still a substantial buff, though.
@twistandice7895 I would say yes. Annihilus for a while now has been part of a Junk package with The Hood and Sentry. You can jam the three of those in a bunch of decks and use them effectively. White Widow is often used in pure junk decks, but is not required for Annihilus himself. That being said, again, I would highly recommend waiting until the OTA, because it's likely Werewolf is buffed and Sentry (and, by extension, Annihilus) are changed.
