I actually like it since the deepslate stone has good black block variations better than the blackstone in the nether bastions so I usually go there for the stones it's only annoying to get down and up because of how they are build

but mining at 59 is better for me because most lava pockets are above you and you dont have to be careful of lava lakes if you find one in you're path

Caves are very efficient for finding loot in terms of durability to ores

Should do - as far as I'm aware the Y Levels will stay the same now going forward unless there's another update to the cave systems
