Jayde Prasad I really enjoy the summer fridays lip balm! I’d highly recommend, as long as you don’t mine fragrance in your lip balm. I also really like Fresh’s petal soft lip cream!!
I know you probably hear this a lot, but your videos are just so relaxing! The set up is really aesthetic and your voice is quite calming. Keep up the amazing work! ❤️
through my personal experience, i've learned that the lip mask from laneige works best if your environment has enough moisture in it, since it is greatly infused with hyaluronic acid. and what hyaluronic acid does is get moisture from the environment, to your skin. when i was first trying out the lip mask, it wasn't working for me and was really sad cuz i really wanted it to work on me. however, a few months ago i purchased my own diffuser cuz i've heard great benefits from that especially for someone like me who has severely dry skin, and all of my skincare products infused with hyaluronic acid, including the lip mask, works soooo much better now.
This is so true! I tried this for the first time in the Maldives (duty free on the way over) and loved it so much but somehow it’s not that special back home in Adelaide. Never realised that was why 🤷🏼♀️
I really do like the the laneige lip sleeping mask. I also love the he sugar fresh lip balm- the tinted are great for the work day. Too scared to buy the by Terry because I may love it ( and regret due to its price!)
Glad it works well for you! I agree, I have an expensive love affair with that balm 😂🌹 A little bit goes a long way so luckily it lasts for a very long time! x
I love watching these. I’ve spent way too much money on beauty over quarantine and it’s nice to see a beauty RU-vidr not screaming at me to buy this, buy that. I don’t feel the need to get products while watching you
I’m sure Matilda has heard this hundreds maybe even thousands of time. But the way the focus is on the products and not the person. So that means I can imagine her as a fairy who grants us access to the magical world of the “ a sheer wash of color”.
I have been using the Laneige Lip mask since the last 6 months and it’s amazing!!! At first I just used to wash it in the morning (I use it as a sleeping mask) and was very bummed to see no result but then I started using it in a diff way. When you wake up , just take a damp towel end and use it as if you are literally removing something from your lips( be gentle, ofcourse) .Also make sure that the towel is damp and not wet. Hope it works out!!!
I tried myself a lip mask that I bought from amazon, to be honest, I was skeptical about if it would work but after a few times using it I noticed a big difference in my lips.
I know you've probably already heard it everywhere else but... I hope u have the opportunity to review Rare Beauty. They also have line of tinted lip balms that other beauty gurus have been raving about ❤️ Also just wanted to appreciate the fact that u take the time to read and reply as many comments as u can in the most thoughtful way possible 🙂❤️
Lypsyl has been my number one favorite for years now! Made from Swedish beeswax but a Canadian product, is it not too waxy, perfectly creamy and the minty freshness is wonderful!!
I love layering the Laneige sleeping mask with some Aquaphor overtop before I go to bed! It softens up the dead skin so nicely that I can gently rub my lips with a wet towel in the morning and all of the dead skin kind of just rolls off and I'm left with super smooth lips! I find that this combination has helped my lips a lot, they used to crack and peel a whole bunch before and nothing else worked. Hopefully that's helpful!
Your videos are so relaxing and soothing! I could listen at you all day long. No screamming, no crazy music, just interesting content. By the way I come back to your chanel every time I need to "unplug" from the outter world. Thank you ♡
I got the grapefruit laneige on at the beginning of summer and I‘ve been loving it so far, even though I used to be very sceptical of the hype! I put a thick layer on before bed and wake up with really plump and smooth lips. Not sure whether it‘s going to give me enough hydration in winter, my lips aren‘t that dry in summer so I haven‘t been able to really test their moisture wrap claims yet. If it‘s not enough, I‘ll probably swap back to my fave nuxe reve de miel or layer a face oil underneath
I definitely agree with you about the Laneige Lip Mask. I have more sensitive lips and the only things that work for me is the Glossier Balm Dot Com and Nars Lip Balm
Love the Fenty lip balm in Latte Lips! It's a great my lips but better colour, has enough pigment to it that it looks more like a lip gloss than a lip balm.
I have enjoyed your videos from the start. They’re so calming and distract me for awhile. I live in Portland, Oregon on the west coast and our wildfires are out of control. They’re the worst they’ve ever been with thousands evacuating. Our air pollution is reported the worst in the world now. We’re in an extreme state of stress, and I’m so worried. Thank you for always posting positive content and being here for us!
It's been awful to see the fires on the west coast - the images are all too similar to the horrors we faced in Australia last summer 💔 Thinking of you Kelli! Stay safe x
i use my laneige lip sleeping mask to cure my chapped lips. 60% of the time, it works every time. i love it and the sample size lasts a lifetime for me
I have very dry lips all year round and for years have sworn by: Weleda everon, L.A Bruket coconut lip balm and for bed time Reve de Miel by Nuxe. The Weleda is super cheap but really rich and does not leave lips watery like labelo.
I’m not that much into it, but 2 years ago, after seeing it on RU-vid, I got By Terry. It’s the best I’ve ever tried, and it’s worth the price. I’m using my 1st jar, and it still smells fresh! I only use it in the morning, and keep it at home. I realized my lips now need a bit more help. Usually, the Clarins lip oil is great, but not with the mask use. This week I realized I need the By Terry stick. Thanks for the reminder!
I LOVE the Laneige lip balm. I use it morning, noon, and night. My absolute fav. And I’m sure you hear all the time but your videos are so relaxing! I love watching and really enjoy your channel 💕
You're videos have added such a vibe of calm that I cant even explain during this time. Ive been following you for a while but especially now, Matilda you are killing it & thank you so much for posting. ❤🙌🏻
i bought the Innisfree tinted lip balm "dried rose tea" omg I love it so much. i use it when I'm lazy to put on lipstick. makes your lips fresh and juicy
ahh, i love hearing everyone's opinions on lip balms. my all-time favorite lip mask/balm ever is the tragically discontinued bite beauty agave lip mask - it came in a tube and was pretty lanolin-heavy. ive been looking for a replacement because i only have so many backup tubes! the sol de janiero balm didn't wow me but that tatcha one looks pretty fun, i'll have to give it a try!
my favorite balm is the Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm. It doesn't have a lot of product in the tube but it really helps soothe dry and irritated lips especially in winter time.
I know that's a bestseller too! 👍 I've used it in the past but chose not to feature it after becoming aware of several issues surrounding the brand in recent months x
I use the Vaseline rose lip balm (I like the ones in the tin cans) they are really good for dry chapped lips and also it doesn’t hurt even if you have chapped peeling lips. I use it and it also heeled the black rim around my lips
I love using Aquaphor as my lip balm. It's rich and soothing for my lips. I wake up with smooth moisturized lips. In the morning, I use stick lip balm me and cousins swear by from Iran. I used to use Nuxe honey lip balm and truly one of the best. I need to repurchase it as soon as possible.
Matilda I just absolutely love your videos! Your filming style is so calming and refreshing, I always end up watching each video 2 or 3 times over! Keep up the amazing content!
I've been waiting for one of these videos from you for ages! I've recently been saving up to buy the fenty beauty pro kiss'r lip balm and the tacha kissu balm, but I've been waiting for an honest review of them as it would come up to at lest £100 in total (the shipping fees are ridiculously expensive) and this video has honestly helped me so much, thank you!!!
The laneige one is my holy grail, but my lips get veryyyy dry and I have the awful habit of picking them when I'm stressed so this is the only product I've tried that softens them to the point where they dont look as bad and really reduces chapping so theres nothing for me to pick. I apply a thick layer every single night without fail and when I wake up it's either completely absorbed or nearly there. It's also nice in a light layer for daytime, like a nourishing gloss imo
I am a loyal fan of blistex in the pink pot. It is just plain amazing. I will also sometimes use o'keefe's in the orange squeeze tube if I don't want to deal with the pot especially now with Covid. They are both amazing and cheap. While this channel is about luxery products not all of us are willing to spend an arm and a leg on something we use daily
I get a lot of requests to show my makeup collection but unfortunately I just prefer to make more concise videos based on a particular concept or theme. I don't have any fancy storage or tips either! 😂 My products are just divided up in small boxes inside bathroom drawers, or in empty candles or glass jars x
Been using laneige lip sleeping mask for over 3 years now, finished up 3 jars and now just bought the Vanilla version. I love it as what it is, it’s a super great sleeping balm but if you use during the day, yes like you said it’s sticky, oily looking. I really recommend give it 2-3 weeks for before bed only. You’ll love it!
Congrats for three year anniversary Matilda!, Its all your dedication, style and passion to discover beauty which gave you such big success. Just put a smile on our face like you always used to do, Lots of Love.
Just focusing on bestsellers from websites that stock a range of brands! 👍 I've used the Drunk Elephant balm in the past but chose not to include it here given the issues surrounding the brand x
i always have loved the calming aura of your videos but i really needed this today. yesterday i've experienced something awful that i don't want to talk about and had anxiety attacks nonstop after that. i'm a little better today but this really helped me to calm down and distracted me from negative thoughts. i guess i'll watch more of your videos now so thank you 💜
One of my favorites to throw in my purse is actually a drugstore balm called Lypsyl. I heard about it on another RU-vid channel. It has an amazing texture to be drugstore and I keep one in every purse I own lol. It has coconut oil and organic shea butter.
Due to the pandemic and trying to avoid touching my face, I depotted the Laneige lip sleep mask and the summer fridays lip butter balm into lip gloss tubes. Best. Decision. EVER. Especially with the summer fridays lip butter packaging, i never have to worry about exploding product going to waste.
ahhh, i've been missing your previous videos because notifications weren't working TAT i finally got the notification for it! can't wait to go on a matilda video spree hehe~
Oooh, I'm really interested in the Summer Fridays lip balm now! My favourite lip balm is the Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm - even a minimal amount of this lip balm seriously packs a punch. It feels so soothing, healing and nourishing, sinking deep into the lips instead of just sitting on top of them. The consistency is a gel-balm hybrid - just solid and thick enough to be in a pot but transforms with the heat of your fingertip and melts instantly on contact with the lips. The texture is silky but not slippy, gripping but not waxy; the perfect level of plushness without feeling thick, gloopy or sticky. There’s also a very slight cooling sensation which is wonderfully refreshing and feels just heavenly. 100% recommend giving it a try!
Hyram did a video that explained the Laneige mask doesn’t do much, which was a relief because I didn’t get it either! It does make the lips look really good, like a gloss would, but without real hydration benefits. Personally I love the Jack Black balms- simple and very effective. For night and sometimes day I use Primera lip mask- which does wonders for my super chapped lips.
Thank you! I get asked about storage a lot but unfortunately I don't have any fancy storage or tips to share 😂 My products are just stored inside drawers in my bathroom or office x
@@matildaonvideo Oh ok!! I was just asking because I just moved houses and wanted to know my beauty teacher had any ideas!! I normally hate beauty influencers but you are the best Matilda! Keep up the amazing work!! 💞
I have to agree with the laniege lip sleeping mask. I think it smells absolutely delicious, but it isn't as nourishing as I need a lip balm to be for my dry lips. It feels really good when you first apply it, but once it goes away it's like you never put on lip balm in the first place. It also clogs my pores and makes me break out around my lips, which I didn't know could even happen with a lip balm. It's not something I would use everyday, maybe once in a while. However, I love the laniege lip glowy balm. I find it so much more hydrating, lighter, and just as delicious!
The Summer Fridays one was one of my best purchases of quarantine! It's pricey but a little bit goes a long way, so this is definitely going to last me a while. It's also so nourishing in the day, and I find it a bit exfoliating, too, so sometimes I find it so easy to just rub away dead skin when I wake up in the morning. As for the scent, I don't know if it was just my tube or maybe my nose, but I actually can't smell anything, no vanilla or anything, but it's no biggie.
hi matilda i don’t know if you know but if u remove the rubber part at the top of a boy brown tube, there’s actually sooo much product left it’s like a whole new tube !
I wanted to love LANEIGE lip mask so bad but it just didn't work for me :( Woke up with dry lips. I recently got the Mamonde Sleeping Mask and it's so amazing!
The thing i love abt laneige lip sleeping mask is i could use it on my super crusty dry lips overnight and easily wipe all dead skin off with tissue the next morning then my lips be looking so smooth
My absolute favourites are the Lanolips 101 ointment and the Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips. I go between the two, it depends on which one I can get my hands on. I’ve used lanolin based lip balms for over 2 years now and haven’t looked back. I avoid petrolatum like the plague now! These balms have saved my lips from being dry and crusty, I’ve gone through about four tubes of each. Amazing formulas, works beautifully for me. Great video Matilda, as always. 😊💕
Thank you! ☺️ Definitely hoping to cover different deodorant formulas in detail one day, but you can see my favourite in my recent Everyday Skincare video x
LANEIGE lip sleeping mask works when you sleep with it on. The problem is that if you move alot during your sleep, there's going to be a mess. Also, depending on ingredients and people's lips. Some find it drying while others find it soft.
The way you described the By Terry lip balm is exactly how I feel about the Laneige one! I don’t prefer using it on its own, but it’s amazing applied on top of an oil☺️
im ecstatic you posted this video! lip balm is the only thing i wear on my face, but i love watching your videos anyway because your voice is just heavenly. so happy to see a video dedicated to my favourite ( and only) make up product xD
I recently got the fenty balm in latte lips! It’s such a shame that no one can see it under my mask but it’s a lovely color and I really like the formula of the balm. It’s the perfect glossy nude for me and I really think it’s helped on a hydration level too.
@@matildaonvideo that's good to know! I don't know how you feel about intense herbal/sage scents but the raw elements lip balm is my favorite for being nourishing while immediately sinking into my lips. Also, Olio e Osso is having a sale on their trio of balms pack, so I'm picked up them (and specifically currant) on your recommendation! Can't wait for them to ship!
Personally I find that I need to apply quite a thick layer of the Laneige lip sleeping mask for it to really be effective (so thick that my lips don’t look red anymore) Maybe you could try it that way? If nothing else you’ll be finishing the pot sooner :) Also I just wanted to mention that you got me to start my first deliberate no-buy since I ventured into the world of beauty. I’ve really enjoyed rediscovering old favourites and the Laneige lip sleeping mask in mint coco is one of those favourites!!
I swear by Caudalie (which I got bc you raved about it lol) and Burt's Bees. Affordable, effective and both have a lovely scent and they pass my "12 hours a day on a plane" test :p
I love lip balm videos. It seems like the most indulging and yet very essential step in skincare and sadly I have only tried Laneige among the listed ones. I hope to try others.
Brazilian Kiss is my all time fave balm! I’ve gone through a few Laniege samples and it’s not something I’d purchase. But that Fenty balm is definitely on the list 💋
i totally agree on you with the tatcha and laniege one!! I was disappointed with the tatcha one because it was so slippery and thin it wore off before it could do any moisturizing on my lips, and i didn’t notice a huge difference with the laniege either, maybe it’s just because i’m not used to the textures. i just wanted to love them so bad but i was a bit disappointed. I would love to try the by terry one though!! looks amazing and i love rose!
There is a fantastic product in Croatia, it's called Zagrebački Melem. Price is amazing and it' completly based on natural ingedients. Texture much better than any other I tried. Good by itself and mixed with other balms or lipsticks.
The best balm for the lips is by far Lanolips 101 ointment. Any of the fruities are my fav. This si the ONLY product that stays on the lips overnight and STAYS. Keeps the pucker as plump and juicy as the time you put it on.
if only BITE hadn't changed their formulas for the worse, their lip mask would be my favorite of all time. Now I'm using the Laneige lip mask and it's pretty good!
@@rachaelbarron1279 It was my holy grail too ;_; The one I've switched to and reminds me most of the BITE one is the Milk Makeup Kush Lip Glaze in the shade Chronic(it looks green when squeezed out but applies clear.) Like the BITE one, its texture is on the thicker side and it comes in a squeezy tube (though I actually prefer Milk's applicator).
Thank you so much!! I have never seen or heard of these! I am usually very basic so I buy my lip balms from five below, but those make my lips very dry! I might try out Summer Friday’s lip balm it looks so creamy and soothing :)
