It seems there is now an ELRS V3 update. However, still a candidate. So do it at your own risk. But this shows that a stable ELRS V3 will definitely be possible or perhaps already is... BETAFPV would have had to do that no matter how if they wanted to keep their remote compatible with new products...

Yeah, That’s more work for them. That’s why most manufactures use the ELRS Configurator for updates. It’s another reason why I recommended the CC2500 version of this radio instead of the ELRS version. I use the Nano module in the back, which receives updates from the ELRS Configurator, independent of BetaFPV.

I bought CF V2 nano last year second hand but it was new in the box just opened and got extended cover for module in the box I'm not sure it is only me . I had SE version of that radio and it was ok but this refresh looks like very well made beginner one kudos to BetaFPV 👍👍👍

@@OneManUnmanned Ah ok that's cool 👍 I wonder how 500mw elrs works on that little radio does have enough juice to power it up? On controller subject I've just checked the price and it's very good price for both controller and elrs nano module 100$ for both it's a steal IMHO they really do provide great stuff which is affordable

I honestly haven't tried 500mw, but I do think BETAFPV says that's the max power that is supported.

If I get a Betafpv Lite Radio 3 elrs then why should I get the external elrs module too?

You would not need the external module then. The only reason would be to have a higher output power. I think the radio is limited to 100mw while the module can go up to 500mw. That's the reason I went with the CC2500 version. I already owned a module and did need to have the same protocol in the radio.

For crossfire you Need the longest back Shell inside in the trasformation kit to make the micro module to nano 😊 It cost Around 10$ the kit

I jus ordered this and got the frsky version and am wondering what would be the best receiver for a beginner jus found ur videos and like the detail you go into

For a beginner and having the Frsky version, I would recommend the RXSR receiver. When you've become more comfortable and familiar with FPV, I would highly recommend the ELRS protocol. Ty I have seen your videos and I will say you made me pick this remote now I am thinking of getting a flywoo mini 4s drone and was jus trying to figure to look for when I get asked what reciver do I want with it again I like your videos very informative

So you take the lrs module and just pop it in with out doing anything else to the module beforehand

No, the module was already configured previously, months ago for my existing drones. But once it was configured, it did not need any additional attention. Just attach to the radio, and your good to go.

When you install the ELRS mod, does it automatically have better range? Or is there more too it?

You will not be able to bind Frsky unless you have an Frsky External module.

@@OneManUnmanned I'm thinking about switching and had a similar kind of Question... I will buy the beta fpv 3 as well , not sure which version yet! But in my understanding, no matter which one I choose (frsky or Xpress LRS or TBS crossfire) if I would Buy a frsky module AND crossfire for instance, I could switch anytime. Right now i am using Spektrum DX6 with sat recievers. 🤮

New gimbals, but they are not Hall. Still potentiometer style.

Check out the 1hr extreme gimble stress test on the betafpv lite radio 3 done by Old Bee FPV. It's crazy good.

Could you use it on a happymodel AIO and would you get the same performance? Or does it have to be a betafpv RX too

Yes, you can use it on a HappyModel AIO or any drone with a D8 or D16 rx(As long as you opt for the LiteRadio3 with Frsky). I've actually flown it with the HappyModel during this test flight. That video is being edited right now, and should be out this week.

@@OneManUnmanned Awesome. What I meant was, use the betafpv radio with ELRS module to fly a happymodel ELRS AIO. And if the range is as good as a BetaFPV AIO ELRS board. I think this will be a true test that people will want to know. If both companies are using ELRS specifications

Oh OK, yeh..I don't have a BETAFPV ELRS AIO or a HappyModel ELRS AIO board. You're looking for an ELRS vs ELRS comparison. From my understanding, ELRS is open source and manufactures should be using similar components(although made by different companies). My test compares the internal module to the external ELRS module.

Can you tell me best way to enter ELRS now? I think about LiteRadio 3 + BetaFpv elrs module + Meteor 75 ELRS but what with budget googles?

The Lite Radio3 (ELRS Version) is a good option to start. The Radio Master Zorro is also a good option for a radio. The goggles are very subjective..The FatShark Scout is a good goggle as well as the Eachine EV800D.

Betafpv says it is compatible. I did not test Crossfire in this video because my current case for my nano module was too short. I'm literally about to film this video with the new case now.

OMG, this is one of the WORST videos on ELRS external module. Of the 18+ minutes, there is nothing about how to "Run an External Module" and how an external module can be setup. This video wasted my precious 18+ minutes and many YouTuibers share the similar practice. These RU-vidrs frequently made content-less videos to promote products without telling the audience how to setup and use the product.

@@OneManUnmanned Yes, I watched every second of your video. You have had a problem: you made very long videos; but, you failed to provide your audience what they need to the point and accurately. You can certainly continue to make similar videos, but your "failed to get to the point" style would not make your videos great. Actually, your videos are below average.

The point here is, if you wanted the right information, you would read the title of the video and choose the one that applies to YOUR particular situation. I'm giving you, the viewer options. Other creators are cramming everything into one video(for one reason or another). How many other videos exist about using Crossfire on this radio? To put all this info into one video is absurd. This point is confirmed by the fact that you chose to watch this one video in the 1st place. The system and algorithm worked, you just chose the wrong video. If you're looking for FRsky compatibility with this radio, you're not going to choose the CRSF video then complain about the topic not being in the video. Thanks for watching and support of this bad video. PS: Yes, I still do make catered content to this day, because it helps people more directly with their problem (as I showed you with the link above).

@@OneManUnmanned Sorry. I did a search for what I want to watch. Your videos usually have misleading titles that failed to match the content. If "to put all this info into one video is absurd", then you should figure out a way to concentrate what you wish to say point-by-point rather than regurgitate the same point over and over. I can do your 10-min video in less than a single minute. Eiether you don't know how to present your topics in a very succinct way or you don't know how to organize the content of your videos so that you will minimize repetitions. Well, it is your choice and no one can help you. To tell you the fact, of all the videos I watched, you are not a good story teller, whether you like it or not.

I'm sorry you feel that way...I thought I outlined my videos before I made them. Who knows. I would pay to see you digest a 10 min video into 1 minute, and provide any value except entertainment to viewers. One thing I do agree, "I'm not a good story teller", but that's the point. I'm not here to tell a story. I'm here to inform, and help pilots make a smart purchase decision. Thanks again for watching. On a serious note, you gave constructive criticism(unlike some that say "bad video" then leave), but we both agree on every point. Everything you mentioned in these comments, were directly and intentionally done on purpose before the record button was ever pressed(planning stage). So yes, I'm going to give an overview on a product(helps customers know what they're getting/quality). Then I'll show you how to use and setup said product(I'm sure you can understand why that's important. You were looking for that info today). Then I'll give a "review" on said products, which are my opinions, whether it be good or bad(this should have no bearing/influence on how to setup/use said product). You'll notice alot of my videos, I'll walk you through the process as I'm doing it, an if I hit a snag, then most likely you the customer will hit that snag as well( hence why it's not edited out). All these things add to the length of these videos. Trust me, alot of time goes into deciding what stays or goes in an edit, and for every one of "your" comment about too long of a video, I get 10 other comments and emails saying, "you did not show this process". The bottom line is, you can't please everyone. If I don't fulfill your needs, there's 10 other creators making the same video lasting 1 minute with a killer storyline. Just remember, I did provide the information you needed, just not the way you wanted it.
