Hello my whoop friends I bought a Betafpv Meteor 75 Pro just to see how the whoop flies stock. It's basically an 80mm 1S whoop with 1102 22000kv motors and 45mm propellers. I flew it completely stock (with my rates betaflight 800 degrees on all axes) with the following Lipos:
0:00 Intro
0:09 Outside View
0:25 Flight with GNB 1S HV 380mah 90C A30
1:55 Flight with GNB 1S HV 450mah 80C A30
3:43 Flight with Stock Betafpv 1S HV 550mah
6:20 Weights and Photos
6:56 Outside View Two Laps
My Conclusion from these flights:
I think Betafpv Meteor 75pro is a solid good whoop for beginners and intermediates. With 380 Lipos you can also race it quite well. The flight times are surprisingly good. The camera has a little fisheye and is ok as long as the lighting conditions are optimal. The only thing I would change directly on the whoop is lengthen the main cable or solder the BT2.0 connector differently. And I would attach the main cable to the frame so it can't get caught in the propellers.
Update 14.6.24:
► My favorite lipos for the Betafpv 75 Pro
● GNB 1S HV 550mah 100C A30 (I don`t buy them anymore because they are a little bit long)
● GNB 1S HV 530mah 90C A30 (450mah lipo size and weight)
● GNB 1S HV 380mah 90C A30 (for Indoor racing on smaller racetracks)
● Betafpv Lava 1S HV 550mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
● Betafpv Lava 1S HV 450mah 75C BT2.0 (foldet cell)
Of course I won't leave this whoop like this ;-) I'll lighten it and remove the motor plugs and solder the motors directly and so on..😇
Stay tuned😊

Hey, grate vid. Do you think a gnb 660mah would fit? It's smaller in all ways but one it's 8*17.5*60mm and the 550 you had was 6*18*66mm. thx
@butterflyfpv

Thank you! No! The stock lipo holder on the 75Pro is very tight. GNB 660mah won`t fit in the stock lipo holder! Only lipos with 450mah dimensions (exept lenght)!

Which battery did you feel worked the best? I don't love the blue beta fpv batteries and I've been eyeballing the gnb red batteries over the beta fpv lava packs 🤔

For indoor racing GNB 380mah 90C for sure. Outdoor or on large indoor racetracks GNB 450mah 80C or GNB 530mah 90C or betafpv Lava 450mah.

What you think about building a 45mm with 1002 22000kv. I'm thinking about it and would like to know your opinion as an experienced fellow pilot.
@butterflyfpv
@butterflyfpv 8 месяцев назад
Hey my friend. Thank you. 1002 22k with 45mm props is good enough for racing (i guess you ask for racing?). At least better than 2inch prop. So you can give it a go if you have some 1002 22k laying around. Or you can buy the new meteor 75 pro whoop from betafpv (1102 22k with 45mm props), which is a very good motor/prop combo for racing. Personally I would go with 1102 22k with 45mm props for my racing flying style.

Hi butterfly do you know how to make an analog video scrambler? I wouldn't want my neighbors being able to tune into my video feed while flying in my private property.
@butterflyfpv
@butterflyfpv 10 месяцев назад
No, unfortunately I don't know. But I don't think you really have to worry about that. The chances of someone doing this are extremely small. I would be much much more concerned about smartphones, computers, TVs and other electronic devices.

I loved my stock 75 Pro. Only complaint is the VTX seems rather brittle and I swapped canopy right away to one with 15 deg angle(better for freestyle indoors) and weighs 1g less. For VTX I went with happymodel ovx300 off my crux35 and my second 75 Pro got a hdzero lite board. I have found the 75 Pro and my custom 1s 85mm hdzero build are only a few grams apart so its a tough call on what is ideal but I am not racing just power looping my cube and coffee table these days.

@TorontoFPV I'm sure you've come across the mcstinky on thingiverse, there are several versions to fit most cameras. I printed it with foaming TPU aka varioshore to get the weight down. You will need to scale down a few percentage to get a tight fit if you use foaming TPU.

best tiny whoop? which one do you want? mobula7 1s or meteor 75pro 1s ?
@butterflyfpv
@butterflyfpv 11 месяцев назад
Do you mean best BNF Tiny Whoop? And for what? For racing? If so then I would tend to 75 Pro. But there you are just limited with spare parts. Because currently only one manufacturer makes 45mm props (gemfan) and so on. Honestly, it doesn't really matter that much. Almost every whoop has its pros and cons. I would definitely fly the Mobula7 with GNB 380mah 90C Lipos for racing. I hope this helps you. And otherwise you have to tell me exactly what you want to do, what your goal is and what your priorities are.

@@1000TuTiengAnhThongDung I like the pro more, its crazy solid and great flight times. more robust!
@butterflyfpv
@butterflyfpv 11 месяцев назад
@@1000TuTiengAnhThongDung No problem. That's because racing takes a lot more power (constant power) and you're always flying forward. With freestyle you don't necessarily need constant power and you fly completely different maneuvers. (e.g. causing more propwash, washouts and so on). In short, racing is much more demanding overall and especially in the area of constant power. Freestyle is much more forgiving. But when it comes to propwash, freestyle is more sensitive.

@butterflyfpv 6 месяцев назад
@@FIPackage For Racing? Analog or HD? More Indoor or more Outdoor? If you can tell me exactly what you want to do with it then I can tell you exactly which is the optimal whoop.. Happymodel also makes whoops that are good enough.. (at least if they aren't defective out of the box, but this is a problem that all manufacturers have unfortunately)
@FIPackage
@FIPackage 6 месяцев назад
@@butterflyfpvprobably not racing. My friend has 2 of them and maybe we will goof off at the park. I think he has a 65 and 75 1s powered. Didn't know which one to get first... I'm going with analog since it's cheaper. Should I get the meteor 65 pro and an 85 2s for outdoors? Seems like racers user 65mm
@butterflyfpv
@butterflyfpv 6 месяцев назад
@@FIPackage Yes, 65 pro for indoors (it is actually a 70mm whoop with 35mm props! and not allowed on some 65mm races) and a 85 2s for outdoors is a good idea if you are ok with charging 2S Lipos.. 75 pro is more convenient for outdoors because of the easy charging of 1S Lipos. But 85mm 2S is much more powerful and more stable in windy conditions..
