I still do not get people who couldn't see that he had 'fallen' for her in his own quiet & shy way. Yes his character was a bit older than Beth... but it's the end of the world and it's DARYL not Serial Killer Joe and his Rapist & Pedophiles! He will not just die, his character is important to Rick's storyline, when he goes it will push Rick's character perhaps in a different direction, perhaps even bring him closer to death himself, etc... until you see Daryl's arc really growing and perhaps overcoming his own weaknesses he won't die for a while and that is the opinion of film students and writer's not mine... I had to learn it.
