Aww I want to know the original girl who said “you think you know me.” I think she deserves more recognition than “some girl.” She’s so iconic. Edge’s entrance themes is one that you instantly know who it is and get hyped for. It’s a shame that one of the most iconic opening parts of a wrestling theme is unknown🥺
That was filmed in 1998 almost 30 years ago. I don't blame edge for not remembering some random voice actress he probably didn't even meet 26 years later. He'll he didn't even remember he wrestled the road warriors, those head chairshots do long lasting damage.
and in between had the silly dude/bro persona with Christian that everyone came to love. There has to be a time down the road to bring back the kazoos and streamers.
Jim Johnston actually wrote and produced those pre-debut vignettes. They were supposed to be “Edge’s poetry” and I know the voice actress was named Susan but I can’t recall her last name. Jim used her on a few other things including the Over the Edge ‘98 opening promo and stuff for Droz and Taker.
@@andregordon2599 it's actually so funny can't rember the pod cast he explains it on but basically Russo wanted him to be deaf but he could take the hearing ability of people he knocked out but only untill they woke so he had to keep randomly knocking people out, the brood was in plan for edge early so Christian was also going to have some kind of supernatural ability along with obviously the vampire Gangrel 😂😂😂😂
For what? 😂 *How did you feel about saying You think you know me?? Did you think it would be so iconic???* That's a 40 second clip A bit odd you wanna track her down to just say "Thanks" for her saying 1 line in a song 😂
That's so cool that with Beth now as the voice of the woman in Adam Copeland/Edge's song, Beth is, in a sense, escorting Adam Copeland into the ring in all his matches. If The Glamazon ever wrestles in AEW ( I hope she does- fingers crossed! ) maybe Adam Copeland could lend his voice in some way to a new theme song for Beth Phoenix in AEW.
It's cool how he knows every little detail about whoever he's interviewed. I didn't notice that in the song...I guess that's why he's so successful in this business
@@ChrisSuperDudeIt is not for Edge to remember. The company or people who helped record/produce the theme back in 1998 like a Bruce Prichard or someone like that is who should be giving public credit to her, not the performer Edge who probably didn’t know her.
CVV. I love you man, and think you are an excellent interviewer. But asking Edge if Beth was the original voice is just insane. Of course she wasn’t lmao
I'm sorry but Adam's WWE "intro video" is still my favorite just because of how crazy it is. He runs around NYC attacking random people and hanging out in seedy bathrooms. it's simply amazing.
Beth is easily in my top 5 favorite Women to ever wrestle Her look, hell her finisher, loved it and still do My top 5 of all time Women's Wrestlers, and Beth is #1 and I'm confident in saying that
I still wonder if we’ll see her in AEW some day. I think she’s still under a legends deal to wwe as I see her advertised in various merch and mobile games.
I couldn't even tell that it said "You think you know him." In the new one. I did hear that it was Beth Pheonix that did the voice for that one back around the debut though.
It be better if it was “You thought you knew me” or “You don’t know me” The “him” is just weird. It sucks seeing Edge shit on the company that made him with that ridiculous rah-rah promo after the Punk interview and the garbage matches he’s doing. Such a damn shame
Adam Copeland vs Kenny Omega I still want to see this feud so bad if they wanted to go that route but I think a more edgy feud would be Rated R Superstar vs Switchblade.
Love that you call her a WOMAN, sad that Adam called her a girl. And she's not "Some girl." She's a WOMAN, and deserves recognition. She's iconic. But it's cool that it's Beth.
I thought it was obvious that Beth dubbed his intro. Idk, I just thought if Edge is trying to recreate that then he’d get his wife of all women to do it.
