I think this movie is VERY underrated. It is a gem. The dialogue, the wacky characters and the setting is pretty damn hilarious. Anybody who likes iconic stuff like Its Sunny in Philadelphia should really have no problem laughing their ass off at this. Even a small scene like when Casey Affleck tries to awake his brother up and his brother blurts out "TOUCHED HER ONCE THATS IT!...." is epic.
This IS my favorite movie, of all time. Everyone involved gave perfection. I have seen it at least 32 times, after 25 times I finally GOT it. Mona Dearly was the only character who was a degenerate and/or liar. She was not perfect, obviously, but the others were actually worse. Amazing!
I know this isn't a very popular movie, however, I think it should of been. It's actually one of my favorite movies. Talk about one hell of a cast. I guess you have to be a fan of dark humor type movies to appreciate this movie. I've watched it probably six/seven times and will watch it again i'm sure.
This film is fucking hilarious. A great ensemble cast and plenty of good gut laughs. If I've had a shit day, this movie puts that smile back on my face.
This October 31st will be 38 Years ago when Bette and I was together for the last time ...I miss her everyday ..not that I'm in love with her . I just miss being around her , she was so nice to me spending so much time with me . In between her recording session at Sunset Sound Studios in los Angeles California.
Just watched this after many years of seeing it the first time. Funniest scene in the whole movie is when Devito questions Affleck about the little dog. Devito: "Jeff killed Peaches? I heard it was the other way around." Affleck looks at him stupidly and says: "Peaches killed Jeff?". Love the look Devito's character gives him like "this is the idiot who is about to be my son-in-law?". Lmfao!
I love this movie...and "200 Cigarettes". It saddens me how Casey Afleck says these are the two films he regrets ever doing. :( 200 Cigarettes is actually my favorite.
Very funny movie, Another much forgotten gem is ' Out on a limb ' with Matthew Broderick, Jefferey Jones, John C. Reiley and a few other familiar faces. Not dark humor, just fun.
