Thank you for providing information on hooking up a mixer to the iRig Pro Duo--this information is skipped over by the vast majority of presentations, yet it is rather simple and the guidelines clear as you have presented it. And you look like a battleship skipper in front of that studio rig.
Nice videos!! What do you recommend to me if I want to take/give music lessons via zoom?? Let's say guitar and mic. I have an irig pro I/O, zoom just recognize the guitar input and I cannot use an external mic on the 3,5 input nor my Mac or iPad internal mic. I'm guessing I have to buy a mixer.. If that's the answer of my problem, how can I set the mixer and instruments?? Thanks Jaime.
Hi, it's a great video, thank you👏 I bought the Dio model and I want to record my stage performance from the mixer to my phone with Dio.. I wonder where should I plug the mixer output into Dio..? It has two inputs, for guitar and microphone.. should I plug my outputs from the mixer into these two outputs? I don't know about this now, thanks
Hi hi, great video and exactly what I want to do with my irig device. Question: is there some additional setting in my phone that let's me designate where the input signal comes from? I seem to be still receiving sound from the onboard mic, not the irig pro. Thoughts?
I'm just wondering how you get the phone to do the recording and all your irig equipment transferring your audio info into your phone and also get a television screen monitoring your video?
Hi TrueSoundStudios, if we only use one mic and steam live to FB, does the audience will only hear on one ear? e.g. left of their headphone? Does iRIG pro duo works for zoom video conferencing via iPhone or Android? Is the same issue happen with the FB? Thanks.
Thanks for this video I’m looking forward to getting the iRig Pro Duo I/O and the iRig Mic Studio , to use withe the Smule sing app, plz can you show how to make the connection.... thanks you very much... for your time and I look forward to the video tutorial.
I figured out the fix to get both channels to come out in both left and right as mono. What you hear on the left, you can hear on the right. I figured it out both on android and iphone without any additional apps or any devices.
Hello, thanks for this, I don’t have a mixer to add the effects of my voice on this, I can use my Daw Mac logic instead ? And how I can do it , Tha k you
What adapter would work for plugging in my LxR line cable from my dj mixer to the iRig2? As I bought a 6.35mm female to 3.5mm male and it is far too small.
Great Videos!! Thanks. I Have a question/suggestion for you... I have this setup: Mixer: Bose ToneMatch Input1: Electric Violin Input2: iPad for Audio Tracks How can i config and connect the best way to record video and audio through iRig Pro Duo. Thanks again for your videos. Hope you can help me!! Regards. Hipolito
Phenomenally great video guy! I plugged the iRig2 TRRS end into my desk phone which uses a Google Voice account and noticed none of my sound effects like pitch change, echo and delay get passed from my mixer to the ATT Wireless caller. When I plug the TRRS into my cell phone the sound effects get passed through to the same person's cell phone I called. Do you know if Google Voice and other services "normalize" audio back to something unaltered with affects? Thanks man! I'm using an iRig2 between my phones I mentioned and the Yamaha MG10XU mixer fyi.
Have you been able to figure out how to use both channels? I would like to use to do some Facebook live streaming of DJ sets in stereo with better audio then just phonemic but keep it simple with the phone camera.
Hey, so I saw the lights but how do i know that the sound is coming into the streaming app correctly? I'm trying to use stream yard. My understanding was that the device(iphone 11) was supposed to recognize the device. I can't see the irig on the device or in the stream yard app.
Thanx I tried and it's good on Iphone, I wonder how can I use it with the apps combined for fb live straming, Audiobus doesn't work. I would like to sing live with a good sound (as app VOCAL LIVE have) avoiding a mixer. If any advice please let me know!
Great video! I found the duo very interesting. I am interested in recording drum covers to Drumless tracks. Is it possible to use the duo with two drum mics, one condenser mic overhead and one bass drum mic? I would have it running into my iPhone 11 to record video. Is it then possible to plug-in another device such as an iPhone or iPod with the Drumless Track that I want to record to? Would this then record to the video camera as you were doing? Also would I be able to take the completed audio and run it through a music editing program such as Audacity? Usually the drum track would need some compression and possibly reverb. Do you think this would work with the Irig Duo?
How about an interactive streaming, do the audio coming from the audience and entering into our processing unit and later be processed and looping back to the audience and causing a strange sound? Do this iRig will prevent that?
Hi bro am using I rig basic connected to Behring mixer with RCA cables on mixer & connected my keyboard 🎹 on line in mixer but am not getting audio playing after recordings Live what should I do get the play back audio of mixer
Do you have any idea why sometimes facebook only sound mono and sometimes stereo in live streaming? I have that problem with DUO few weeks ago... thanks!
Question: So this only can do a mono mix? I am trying to find a way to stream live jam session and would like for it to be stereo and not mono. Any suggestions?
@@MikeXZuniga He literally says at :40 in that you can't do that w/ FB Live. Did you even watch the video? That's why he's only running one line out with the mixer in the 2nd part too.
It's kind of weird that in 2020 I can record a vhs stereo tape video I made back in 1986 to my phone photos and uploaded to Facebook and will be in full stereo, something I recorded in the80s but yet in 2020 I can't stream a video in stereo on Facebook live.
Great question, so the iRig Pro is just the single channel mono version of the iRig Pro Duo. The iRig 1 looks to be for guitar only but i'm not 100% sure if it can be used for other things.
Allen Morgan you can send it a stereo signal but Facebook will only except a mono signal for Livestream. Either way you’re only getting a mono signal no matter how you look at it.
Please help. I tried contacting IKmedia support but no reply. I currently own Samsung S9+ and the iRig Pro Duo IO works with it. And the box and your video and others say it works with iPhone.. However i tried it with someone's iPhone and it did not work. I got the blue indicator level only but no sound after I recorded. Just sounded like regular recording. As in iRig does not work with iPhone's I tested it on. Ive got the correct cables hooked up..... Strange.. can you help? Is it an issue with the certain IOS version or something else? Thanks
I had a question when connection mixer to iphone and going to face book live. After I connect the mixer to my Iphone and go Facebook live, will I be able to hear myself play music or do I nned a headphone to listen to myself play or can I connect external speakers from my mixer while going live. I hope I am explaining my self good. Thank you very much
Yes, for live shows to either playback or record. You can use it as an interface for your computer and also your smartphone! I use it almost everyday! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the nice video! I have recently purchased Irig Pro Duo for simultaneous recording from both inputs into IOS. But what I noticed is that both channels can be recorded simultaneously with a very limited number of applications, such as Garage Band, Amplitube, etc. Many of other applications will capture audio from one channel only. I thought it's something I'm doing wrong with my device, but watching you using only one input channel with Facebook app makes me think it's just a question of incompatibility. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to find any info on that. Can you please confirm you have the same situation?
Hey, so i don't use the iRig Pro Duo as an interface for a computer so i'm not sure about that. I use it for Facebook live (which only records channel 1 no matter what i have tried), for iPhone video (which can be configured to record just channel 1, just channel 2, In full stereo mode, or in summed mono mode, and also with the iRig Recorder App. Check out this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2kLgb0uMIGY.html - It shows how to use the iRig Recorder app to change how it records audio for video. Then this other video is using it as a field recorder using the app ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BGp6J3qLcqs.html - Hope this helps!
I'm trying to broadcast our radio show on Facebook Live and get the sound from our Comrex unit (which would include guest phone calls) through to the Facebook broadcast. Can you give some insight or direct me to a video that shows how I need to set it up?
i honestly dont know but let me look into it. If you find True Sound Studios on instagram, you could send a picture of the unit so i could see if its possible
Got a quick question . I run a police scanner on FB live stream i want to run a direct audio line from my scanner to my phone . What are my best options ??
You probably figured this out already, but yes, there is an irig-to-usb cable included with the irig. You might have to go into your audio settings in your computer and designate your input device, but other than that, this should work well for that application. Good luck!
Hi, so no, Facebook only streams in mono to this day. If Facebook did stream in stereo, then yes this iRig would allow a stereo signal. Thanks for watching!
for some reason, my leds just stay blue until I hit the finish button on my FB live. It has worked before but for what ever reason, fb isn't triggering the irig to come on. Have you ever seen this happen?
@@TrueSoundTV Thanks for the tips on recording for FB Live! The only thing I noticed is the sound only comes out one speaker on FB. Is there any way around this, by using the mono summed set up from the iRig Recorder app, or not?
That will be the included cable. The irig comes with several cables for different phones, which allows Android users to utilize the irig as well as iphone peeps.
The iRig Pro Duo and Facebook has a audio problem. It records audio at a substandard resolution. Using it the audio is truncated at 10k but without it it's more like 15k inline with the FaceBook audio API which says they run mono 128 kbps mp3.
Yeah i haven't actually experienced that. I find that the live Facebook audio that i stream is better than most using the iRig. I'll have to look into that though, thanks!
TrueSoundStudios That's interesting I would love to see how the audio from one of your FB Live video looks on a spectrogram. I'll make a quick demo to show you what I'm talking about.
Firstly just to clarify my original comment. It turns out my iRig was faulty and IK sent me a new one after lots of correspondence. So now it works great! Best quality audio Facebook offer is still 128 kbps mono.
i play keyboard only for Livestream. which one i should buy from IK. i am confused with all options available including recently launched irig stream. i want quality stereo sound. please suggest.
Haha i know right! When i first got my film lights it made everything behind me look fake. It is also due to the "depth of field" effect that happens on a DSLR camera that blurs out things that aren't in focus! A green screen would just be another thing to make these videos that already take enough time to create, take even longer. Thanks for watching!
