Yup, first thing i thought when seeing this was, "cool, you can just put a flat battery straight onto it to charge it up while you're using it [the gen'] for other things". I do use Ryobi ONE+ tools and batteries and if i were to purchase a genny, that would have been a significant selling point, as it would be one less hassle not having to run a charger off one mains' outlet and having it get in the way. i expect it would have cost only a few dollars at manufacturing level, but buyers would have been fine with an initial MRSP of $10-20 more - we wouldn't know about it, just know that as being 'the' price.

Is there a reason why you guys haven't gone over the 40v ryobi chainsaw..

Honda now has the phone app option but it’s still over a grand for the small inverter generator and a large unit that would power your fridge and other appliances is around $5k for having Bluetooth nice video it’s cool it starts with a ryobi battery if it dies just have more than one way better than a standard battery

I can't get mine to run, I'll take to Home Depot tomorrow and see if they can get it running... They are not in stores so it was ordered on line.

great unit but is not enough to run any campers AC and microwave (boondocking). Needs to be 3650 Watt like the whisper quiet Firman

No way man, I need my generator to generate, less is better with less things to go wrong. I'll stick to my Hondas you guys enjoy all the toys.

The Comparable Honda unit is a EU2200i which costs $1099. Honda is known for build quality, reliability, low noise and purity of the AC output sine wave. How can you declare this unit equal to or better than Honda when you didn't test any of the features I just listed? Don't get me wrong, this Ryobi may very well be equal to a Honda that but that determination can only be made over time. Put a couple hundred hours on this unit and report back.
