Thank you for watching and commenting! I love this little machine. I thought about getting the Honda but, for the price of a Honda, I could have bought two of these. I'm so glad I bought this. It has never let me down so far.

Great video easy to understand, the only thing I didn't know is did you have to drain the fuel from the carberauter everytime you store it? Thank you

Thank you very much! I've been using Aspen4 fuel in the generator since making this video and I can honestly say that stuff is amazing. It's like the Ethanol-free fuel but so much better. My generator can sit for up to 7 months at a time with fuel in the carburetor with this stuff. Here's a link to my 2nd-year review/service the link will jump past the service part and to the type of fuel I've been using. Sorry if it was too much info but, I hope the info helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2uhbCafi-fQ.html Cheers Shu!

Thank you!!!! What "true Fuel" color can? 50/1 ( red ) or Green ? Just ran mine through Ian in FL for four (4) days without power. In that storm I had to actually pick up the unit full, dump it, and refill due to bad fuel...in the actual storm. I guess, it's our responsibility is to source fuel that's high quality. It would be nice if engines would run on water but, they don't.
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 Год назад
Hopefully you, your family and friends made it through the storm safely. The red cans are for the 50:1 mix and the green ones are 40:1. If your generator is a 4-cycle you will need the Grey can. If you check out my video at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2uhbCafi-fQ.html I found a fuel that (to me) is better than the "Trufuel" brand (for my Ryobi) due to the longer shelf life, lower emissions, about 90% less fume smells. I can leave the fuel in the carb for months at a time (I normally wouldn't suggest anyone else to do that) and the unit starts right up. If your generator holds a lot of fuel then "Pump" fuel is a better way to go. I make it a point to start my bigger generator once a month because I use "Pump" fuel in that (it would cost too much to use the Aspen in that generator). Starting it once a month for 15 minutes will help remove any water that has accumulated in the fuel system and burns it right out. When I'm shutting that one down I will leave the on/off switch in the "on" position (in case something happens to the switch I would rather it be in the "on" position) and will shut off the fuel supply valve and as it starts to starve for fuel, I'll slide the choke lever slowly to the closed position. It will cause the engine to use all of the fuel in the carbs bowl. So, Switch is on, Choke is closed, all I have to do is open the fuel valve and give it a pull. Every couple of months I add some new fuel to the old and it helps keep it fresh. 6 years and never had a start issue yet. When I find water in peoples fuel tank or carb I call them Hydropowered, LOL. If you have any questions about your generator just ask. I've made it a goal to help people with generators (You won't believe how popular I am the day or two before a storm hits up here 🤣). If I find one, I'll fix it and give them away to people that need them at no cost. Fixing stuff and my cameras helps with my PTSD. Sorry for the long answer. Hope some of it is useful. Cheers Shu!

Hey Storm Buddy, I put about 150hrs on my Ryobi after Ian, we just got power back today. The little generator was a champ. Much quieter than all others around and still ran two fridges and a coffee machine. I buy E0 at the gas station and put a bit of stabilizer in it. E10 works too, put e0 is better and more stable. I had no problem running it on two year old e10 (with stabilizer) though.
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 Год назад
Gotta love the Ryobi generator! Does Florida have E0 at the pumps? It's been years since I've been back home in Fla. Up here in NJ they don't have it anywhere except for in a can at the $$$ box stores. But, Pennsylvania has it out towards Lancaster farmland areas. I get some from there when we go and camp and explore out there. Cheers Shu!

would work with a 1800 psi ryobi pressure washer that needs 13 amps

As long as it's under the 15 amps I don't see why it wouldn't work. You might need to turn the low idle switch off though.

Sorry for not providing any important information for ya. "How many hours of working on it after 1 year?" I have no hours spent working on it. It runs perfectly. Thank you, I take pride in keeping my machines clean. You are correct. It had almost 50 hours at the time of the making of this video. I have the 2nd year review out now and it is just as clean with 113 hours on it. Cheers Shu!

How long on average will this run a portable heater and a/c?
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 2 года назад
Greetings! A lot of it will depend on the A/C and Heater you are using. 5k, 6k, up to a 10,000 BTU Portable A/C unit. The 5,000 BTU can use around 800 watts of power while the 10,000 BTU can use up to 1,250 watts of power. It would be about the same on the heaters. What size A/C and heater do you plan on using? With that info I could give you a better guesstimation of the amount of time it could run. Cheers Shu!
@Qk_704
@Qk_704 2 года назад
I dnt have either yet I'm trying to gather as much info as possible I plan to run all of this in my semi truck but have no idea on anything of this maybe you can advise me on what would be best combo. Please.
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 2 года назад
@@Qk_704 Cool, with a semi with a cab you would have about 200Sq ft to cool. A portable 5k A/C should do the trick. Most 5k's would use about 800 watts @ 6.6amps this generator should run that (of course the A/C compressor would be turning on & off randomly) for about 7-8 hours per tank (1gal.) of fuel. Little less if it is hotter outside. With the heater. Most heaters are 1200 watts minimum and @ around 10amps the generator would have a shorter run time than with the A/C unit. But, with the approximate 200Sq ft of space, the heater wouldn't be running very long at all so your run time should be extended to quite a long time. Make sure you check the specifications on the A/C and Heater you decide to buy to ensure they don't exceed the output of the generator.
@Qk_704
@Qk_704 2 года назад
Thanks alot just to clarify a 2k watt generator would be all I need for most common ac and heaters?
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 2 года назад
@@Qk_704 Yes, a 2k would be sufficient. as long as your using a small A/C unit (5K, 6K). The larger ones (9k, 10k) may run below the 1800watts that the generator can supply but the starting watts can exceed the 2300 starting watts that the generatot can provide.
@totesmagotes3688

What kind of runtime do you get on a full tank?
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 2 года назад
A lot of it depends on the amount of load that is being applied to the generator. If I'm charging phones, laptops and small things like that it will run non-stop for about 11 hours. If I'm running the battery charger (60amp) and refrigerator/freezer for the van build, it reduces it to about 5 hrs straight run time. But, the figures are at full load. Once the batteries are fully charged and the refrigerator is at max temp the generator will return to its idle speed and the fuel runtime will increase again until more power is needed again. Sorry for the long version of the answer. Hope it helps. Cheers Shu!

@@totesmagotes3688 I'm glad it helped. I'm actually working on the two year review of this generator. It will have the service needed at the 100 hour interval. Just need to pick up the oil and the fuel filer. I love this little generator. It's been so dependable for camping and during a couple emergency power outages.
@totesmagotes3688

@@LivingFree365 yes we had the week long freeze in Texas in 2021 and it was miserable. I have since bought and been maintaining a Pulsar G2319N 2300W inverter generator in case the power goes out. I calculated my general 120V loads to equal out to about 820W which is less than 50% of the gen’s 1800W rated running capacity. The thing I’ve been researching lately is soft-start kits for my fridges and freezer. This is so when starting them up, the compressor motors don’t pull a lot of amps upon startup that would trip the inverter.
@LivingFree365
@LivingFree365 2 года назад
@@totesmagotes3688 Make sure you use the ethanol-free fuel in these types of units. The ethanol in the Gas station pumps acts like a sponge and absorbs the moisture in the air and causes water to accumulate in the tank and eventually to the carb. I've been using the "Aspen 4" fuel brand and have never had an issue with the fuel. I even (purposely ) let it sit for 7 months and it still started on the second pull. Aspen 4 has a very long shelf life in plastic gallon jugs. Tru-Fuel is another good brand but, it comes in a metal can so I'm not too sure how long of a shelf life it has if you wanted to store a couple cans for emergencies.
