This is the best ornithoptor I've ever seen. I just love the way the feet act as tailplane. The landing was amazing. True aeromodeling skill and as dinky as could be. Fantastic, thanks for sharing! 🌟👍
this is the one Hobbyking was selling few years ago. Check Kazuhiko Kakuta youtube channel, he builds ornithopters from scratch since 2005, with formidable results.
should send the design to ukraine arm forces...it would fly to moscow and kamikaze into putins head...and next day RT news headlines : Russian president killed by a pterodactyle
Très étrange cette image où l oiseau est bien imité... Bravo Monsieur pour cette innovation singulière...les enfants ont dû adorer ce "jouet mécanique" à haute technicité. Félicitations RESPECT
Whoah... i actually clapped when it landed along with the audience. This is one of the most impressive examples of engineering I've ever seen. Leonardo Divinci would be impressed!! Great job!!!
Que interessante ver que o corpo fica alinhado mesmo com os movimentos das asas, sinal que foi muito bem projetado e construído! Parabens aos criadores desse monstrinho voador!
Yo, that was incredible!!! Jurassic period, flys again!! It just waited 65 million years, to do so 😊. It's feet were the elevators, and the ailerons. Intelligent!!

@@XOPOIIIO Nah. RC sailplanes soar. So, a larger version will also work. But, an autonomous version, using drone tech would need a vertical speed indicator and sensors, like what's in a phone to sense vertical movement from thermals might be interesting. AI routines could be developed that would command the autopilot to circle within the thermal, and not flap. That would extend it's range.
They’ve actually done this, I remember something along those lines from NatGeo or the smithsonian. Someone built a replica with maybe six foot wings. They used the head as the rudder since the beak was so long and flat.
It is probably pretty accurate in terms of wing flapping rate. I always wondered if pterodactyls glided most of the time and how they had to get enough speed to take off. Very cool!

I have to laugh at how that flies. I've alway been fascinated by ornithopters of all times This is one of the best flapping beasts to take to the air. For jet like performance use a pheasant format for tiny ones use a butterfly. Hope you have many more flights on it. Around here the eagles and ospreys would attack it and it would need emergency evasive tactics programmed into it to survive in as few pieces as possible.
Very nice! I had a cheap ornithopter once. It flew, more or less. Nothing like this and not r/c. Mine just flew randomly for a minute or so on a wind-up clockwork spring. This one is super-cool.
This stands out from all the FC birds that have been seeing, this is a dragon and I will so much love to give it a try if I can get all the material required
Mamtap, mangkin maju terus saya mendukung channel anda,,, semoga di tambah kesehatan juga,, 🙏 ini dari channel saya susanto wijaya dari Indonesia, Aceh Barat Meulaboh....
Fabulous. I remember the elastic band powered ones when I was a kid in the early seventies. I think they were called Ornithopters after something in a science fiction novel. They didn't fly very far but worked better than you might think. Edit... I should have read the comments before posting. Apparently lots of people remember different variants of ornithopters.
