It’s been 8 years already since this video has been released. I still stop in and watch this in awe. Such an amazing piece of technology. I’m a big drone fan and love flying them professionally and review them on my RU-vid channel. I would of loved to been able to try this or at least seen this in person. Take care and God bless

My first thought about it is it’s a spy gadget

The transition from flapping wings to spinning blades to jet propulsion was critically important bc flapping wings requires immensely more energy and could never attain speed or reliability. Leave flapping wings it to the birds.

You know what would make this even better... A wind sensor on or in the bird somewhere that would give you haptic feedback so the bord can fly with the wind which would make it much more efficient.
