This guy is a beast. One of the most relatable/fair commentators on RU-vid. I love this dude John Campea. I wish he was an American. Simply to serve as a great example of what an American acts like. Sure, I don't agree with every single thing John says. But that makes it fun. Keep on keeping on. Onwards and upwards to all.

The Rambo & Cobra references were interesting b/c Stallone was the 1st pick to play Axel Foley in BHC. In fact Cobra was the movie that Stallone ended up doing it.

The multiverse, like prequels, aren’t a problem on their own. It’s just very easy to screw those concepts up. You can have good, impactful movies about the multiverse or a movie that takes place before another. I don’t think having a different plan for this phase wouldn’t change the fact that the quality has dropped significantly.

Coming To America is in the top 5 for best movies of the 80s. Possibly #1 comedy in the 80s. BHC 1&2 were great.

I'm so in for a bio-shock project. If it would be based on the games. That world was really cool. One of the best campaigns ever. I'd actually get jump scares sometimes. And the whole underwater city thing, power ups, just a really fun world. I'm gonna have to go back and replay.

I love John and I will continue to support his show because I love the show and the crew and John is wonderful in his analysis of most things that come out in the entertainment world. However him telling me today that I don't know the lore of Middle Earth because I said that the show runners don't follow it today was a little off putting. I love Middle Earth and I read everything from Tolkiens works all the way up to the Brian Sibley edited fall of Numenor. They are breaking from lore to make this show! Sauron founded Mordor in 1000 of the second age....the rings were made in 1500 of the second age....and Pharazon ruled till Numenor fell in 3319 of the second age. So yes that is just one example of breaking with the lore of time! There are many more examples of that in the show. That all being said I still watched and will keep watching because the show on its own merrits is not that bad. I don't mind the short elf hair or wild Galadriel or some of the strange stuff with the Harfoots...but to just tell someone they don't know because you think they don't is a little rude! But as I said I still enjoy the show and appreciate all you guys do! BOTF!!

52:56 I don't think thats an issue at all, cause thats a concept, it can be great or bad depending on execution and it wasn't executed well is the issue not that its the multiverse saga. Any more than calling the first saga the infinity saga made that great, that could have been horrible too, they just executed it so well.

I find it really weird how John has no interest in watching The Bear season 3. It's like shows that drop all at once don't count, and never need to be watched just because he feels they have no place to be discussed on his show. We could have been talking about the show for a week or two now, if he'd watched it the weekend it came out, but instead he refuses to watch it just because it dropped all at once. That's really doing The Bear a disservice.

1) I NEVER said I have no interest in watching the show. I very clearly said I love the show and will watch season 3. I simply said I have no sense of urgency to watch it. 2) Can’t talk about a show when everyone is on a different part of it. Some people have seen 1 episode, some have seen 3, some have seen the whole season. Without a week-to-week episode drop, there’s no true way to have a conversation about the show because no one is on the same episode. It’s not rocket science.

@@johncampea Yep I'm aware of your views and opinions. I just think there's another option where you can watch a show over its release weekend (like Anne did), and at least you'd be able to share your thoughts and respond to any comments that come in, even if your whole audience won't be on the same page (same thing about viewers who have seen a new film or haven't seen it yet). Better than you talking about a show a couple months later and that being that. It's almost like you haven't watched the show because you're unconsciously protesting the binge model. But, we're just talking about shows so it's not a huge deal. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

1:28:06 but why not just continue the story like in axel F, it has the same effect and you get the best of all worlds. why make something thats already been made, maybe none of the reasons you accept personally as legit lol, but I think thats a legit reason. Plus making a movie ain't a walk in the park, your going to go thru months/years of budgeting, writing, casting, scheduling actors, pain sweat and tears of many hours of peoples one lives, and your going to do that with something thats already been made? I don't know any more legit reason than that. While we might get the odd decent one its very rare and hardly worth it imo. At least if a sequels bad its its own thing and maybe even still has rewatchability due to it being part of the canon. likely not to change your mind but hop its some food for thought on a different perspective. I know thor the darkwold became a lot more rewatchable as the mcu went on, not only for itself but it sparked watches for other properties in the mcu. Say they just remade thor instead and it was just ok, it would've just disappeared into the void. Maybe a couple people will go back to the first thor but thats bout it.

I really wanted to love shogun. But it just wasn't exciting enough for me. I get it was more of dialog tension type show. And I did enjoy the characters and thier amazing dialog and script. But there wasn't enough action to hold my attention. I wish they'd of interjected alil more combat. Which probably would of gone against the source material. But still, I wanted more ninja combat.

I’m honestly shocked that John liked the new Beverly Hills cop. I really thought it was atrocious. There were good moments and elements like the original songs…. But the jokes were terrible and it was edited abysmally. The pacing is so bad. Worst new film I’ve seen this year

The political satire is OK when it’s clever. Even though I totally disagree with it, I can enjoy it. And the satire of Marvel and check the box, inch deep diversity is awesome. But when it’s blunt and unclever and just mean, it’s less fun. Also, the Jewish space lasers are a meme, not a real thing. At least that’s what we’re telling everyone. Until they are ready.

When it comes to Daniel Tosh. Hilarious. One of my favorites. Along side Daniel Sloss and Stanhope. Point is, Hilarious that some of his "fans" are mad because hes apparently "woke" now. Despite his politics being obvious and staight from his own mouth since the beginning of his career all the way through Tosh.O. It shows how daft they are. Because if you actually liked him or watched anything he has done youd know where he stood on issues. When it comes to Hulk in Deadpool. I dont buy 99.9% of "leakers". Its all a grift. Most of those in the community are ridiculous people. But, I think this leak is coming from those who saw the first 45 minutes during a screening oversees. Exactly that. In regards to original IP. Factually speaking, most films and series that come out are original. Anyone who says Hollywood doesn't make original stuff either have an agenda themselves or just ignorant. If so, fair. But now you know. Remakes and sequels are what make headlines. I have loved this season of The Boys more than any of the previous so far. Hopefully it sticks the landing. If so, it will be my favorite. And absolutely hilarious the people who are mad over the politics of it. Its up there with people just now learning about RATM and Green Day politics despite them being obvious for over 30 years.

Alex F was not great Judge Reinhold was barley in the movie character Billy lost his humor Taggert too old bad hair dye etc Bacon was obviously the villain actress who played his daughter was terrible JGL looked like he hadn’t slept in months come on Campea I know movies are subjective but clearly you have a bias if you think that was better than Coming To America 2 which was subpar but not awful like this movie….
