Two things. The first is Taylor Swift resonates with her lyrics to thousands of girls across the globe. She sings about confusion, heartbreak, love - day to day messages that so many girls have gone through. And she writes her own music. All of it. To deny her power and what she has accomplished, also by fighting for her Masters is a powerful message to women all around the globe. Second: To compare Taylor Swift and Beyoncé is fair but they are just different and have different audiences. Taylor just writes to broader audience, and she does cross over - from county to pop. Beyoncé crosses over from R&B to pop. I find the racial narrative interesting though I don’t agree as even your own comparison was… Michael Jackson. The real discussion should be how two amazing independent WOMEN artists are the strongest musicians in the world atm. Putting two outstanding female artists against each isn’t it anymore. It’s inherent bias

i think it's because taylor's doing a lot more promotion than beyonce, also people seems to relate to taylor more based on her music and overall image, but if beyonce's doing a lot more promotion (more interviews, tv perfomances, album rollouts) she'll double or triple the numbers taylor's getting (not to mention had beyonce tour more in other continents she rarely visits such as australia & asia she might be the biggest touring artist of all time) but in retrospect taylor in her 15+ years of career is still climbing up while beyonce doesn't even have to go that hard to pull in fans to buy her tickets and music, because bey's already build her cult following for 25+ years. in other words, beyonce will never be irrelevant.

Exactly allot of people forget that Beyoncé hasn’t really promoted her projects since 2011 and she’s still selling out arenas around the world nearly 30yrs into her career. Her priorities are to her family first. Taylor is really just catching up to Bey in terms of star power. Bey has been that girl since 2003.

So let’s keep it real here, Taylor may be more popular because of the “obvious” reasons so that’s a whole different topic for sharp minds only. lol however popularity holds weight but it’s also temporary. Beyonce is an iconic, tenacious, hardworking, focused, gracious legend in the making! There’s not enough adjectives to describe the level of talent this woman possesses! A rarity she is! Not only can she sing her face, but she can entertain and look beautiful doing it! There will NEVER be another Beyonce! She’s truly one of 1 & she sits with no one. I can appreciate her accomplishments and accolades but most importantly I respect her evolution. We watched her put in the work and get better and better! That very reason is why not many can be compared to her especially those who idolize her such as a Taylor Swift. Taylor is no match for the Queen Bey. Even if the influence and popularity is equal, the talent sure isn’t. Anyone with real vision can see that. I guarantee you that we will be discussing Beyonce 20 years from now because she’s a real artist & and a real talent. That speaks for itself. Beyonce is the standard. It’s a reason why she’s a celebrity to these celebrities. She’s the real deal! The amount of huge celebrities that attended the renaissance concert revealed how strong her influence was and her relevancy alone. These new music chicks didn’t go to take notes! They went dressed up as a Beyonce because they’re fans of hers! You can’t deny it! Beyonce is the queen!! Gotta respect it. 🎯🏆👑

Beyoncé made nearly 600M+ on her world tour with only 50+ shows with little to no promotion. Her legacy is solidified and she will forever be relevant. Beyonce made $579.8 million from 56 tour dates while Taylor made $780 million from 56 tour dates too. And she still has to play many other shows. She will break the world record for the highest income from a tour ever. As for album sales, Taylor has the biggest sales of the year by far (vinyl included).

And she still cowrites most of her songs to date. Shes at a point in her career where she can work with the best of the best and it allows her to have a fresh sound. Taylor should take notes bc that tortured album was 🗑️. You know it’s bad when every song starts to sound the same😬. But can only sing about 3 notes so she depends on her writing bc she’s not a singers singer. But that’s what makes her so popular I suppose. Shes mid all around and that’s what makes her relatable.

It makes me wonder what is the actual work of Beyonce? Taylor is on a stratospheric level compared to Beyonce whose popularity is tanking.
