It's not just about sales, it's about influence in the pop world Beyoncé is a strong, wonderful pop artist and an icon, but Madonna created pop and her influence is still popular to this day. Madonna cannot be compared to any other artist, she is unique
@@CCSTOM Selling sex is so impressive to you? I see her as a sex worker not as a singer. Have no interest in her honestly, I just came here for Beyonce. B is more impressive to me as someone who acknowledges people with real talent and skills.
You missed plenty of Madonna albums, Immaculate Collection, I'm Breathless, Something To Remember, Who's That Girl, You Can Dance, Evita, GHV2, Celebration etc.
Without taking into account the Best selling compilation album! The Immaculate Collection sold more than 40 million copies! Without streaming!! That's why M is thee Queen!
@@tchaugn for example Abba album sales are low, but their ABBA Gold compilation sold extremely high which makes all their album sales huge on chartmasters compared to individually. This is done because you can’t track the streams of compilations because when a song on a compilation is streamed it counts for the album
I guess they were only doing recording albums, not greatest hits, although it did include justify my love and rescue me, which were totally new tracks.
Madonna’s global impact is just mindblowing. And to think this list doesn’t even include some of her BEST selling albums like TIC and IM, AND the fact that her music hasn’t been recertified in over a decade. Just incredible.
And to think. Madonna hasn't even been recertified in decades and still is the best-selling female musical recording artist in history. Imagine if Warner finally recertified her catalog.
You absolutely can't compare the 2. It's a different market and a way of selling music. Beyonce is showing the tremendous staying power, that the press never let Madonna do. But they STILL do. Damn those critics!
Please do not compare 80s artists with younger artists. You can compare Madonna to Michael Jackson and Prince But not Beyoncé, music wasn’t selling the same as it was in the 2000s It was harder back then and there was no streaming service
Madonna had a twenty year head start on Beyoncé. Is this a fair metric? Anyway, they’re both iconic and the industry wouldn’t be the same without them.
@@aimar2918 So what? It’s still a dumb comparison. They are two different artists from two totally generations in from two totally different decades. They cannot be compared as both are different -just stupid.
and to think that there are atleast 30m uncounted beyonce sales since columbia confirmed she sold 118m albums by 2016 and chartmasters only counts 90. she's unstoppable i fear
chartmasters has daily updates, Beyoncé is at 98 millions (+50 millions with Destiny’s Child). Maybe chartmasters with their CPSC method uses a different way of counting streaming/digital sales/pure sales, but it’s up to date
@@tita390 chartmasters is a very serious source with a very transparent method (the CSPC method that allows to compare all formats). The music industry often makes inaccurate claims just to gain attention, such as saying that Mariah or Celine are the best selling female artists of all time, or saying that Elvis and The Beatles sold 1 billion which is based on an old counting method according to which every artist that sold 167 millions records would have reached 1 billion (including Mariah). Reality is that according that the CPSC method they sold between 320 and 425 millions, not more than one billion. That’s why I am saying that the method used is important, maybe chartmasters and columbia use slightly different counting methods. Chartmasters is unbiased and very up to date, I don’t think that they would disregard Beyoncé’s latest sales, given the fact that they update sales daily
