Keynotes* 1. I personally still prefer the S95B. 2. Cameras do not show 100% of the tv image quality it records. Listen to audio for what is actually going on. 3. My settings will be available after joining here: m.ru-vid.com_channel/UCOCH5WuEjNnl9Gk8q2r_hVQ?noapp=1
Such a close call. I get Samsung smartphones and just got a Sony A80K. I've had Samsung TVs in the past, and an LG smartphone in the past. I like them all. Very satisfied with the 55" A80K. It's phenomenal.
Great video! I watched your other video comparing a95k and s95b, which resulted in a tie. By that video would you say Samsung beats the a80k? Only issue I have is the tizen with Samsung. My 2019 Q70 freezes and does some buggy stuff like turn back on by itself sometimes, apps close by them selves, etc. Have they cleaned this up?
Thank you for the info and TRUE review! I have an LG OLED65B7A that is dying. She has some areas where the reds pixels are weak. I come to realize that it's from RU-vid's stupid RED bar from walking away with the TV paused using PS5 (it doesn't go into screensaver like it does in its native app). This is devastating because I absolutely love this TV but am shopping for a replacement now. I ask, WHY can't they deliver us a picture as the videos/games were intended to be seen? Why do they mess with colors in the first place!
This has been such a helpful video (even though I know I’m way late watching it, lol). I’ve found very low prices on both of these models (actually, it’s the A75L Sony, but they probably don’t differ much, right?), and have been torn between which one to get if the prices on the 2023s don’t come down much when the 2024s come out. I love the pop on the S95b, but Sony’s processing, depth and low bitrate upscaling abilities really appeal to me. Is the motion really THAT bad on the Sony? Either way, I’m subscribed here already, and will for sure get your settings for whichever I go with! 🙏🏻🤝🏻
Didn't u see same clarity/detail in the a95k as in this a80k?.How is possible when best from both worlds (quantum dots and xr processing) are joined?.More even with that high price...is it really that scam?,i mean, can u say a80k is better tv than a95k?.
Right now the 65" A80K is $1,699 and the 65" S95B is $1,795 for Black Friday. I'm having an ulcer trying to decide between the two. $100 is essentially nothing in this price bracket.
Same exactly. Kind of leaning towards the Samsung. Reviews seem to have the Samsung ranked higher for gaming, which from your handle, I assume is important to you. Did you make a decision? Which one are you leaning towards?
It's not just the orange reds on the Sony A80K. It's the white also. Pause it at 16:43 and 16:45. The Samsung S95B has white snow. The Sony A80K has blue snow. In fact everything that is pure white turns blue on the A80K.
So you're saying motion is better on the Samsung. I am wondering if that is also the case when watching soccer on that tv. I would hate to buy the wrong tv and see a glow behind a fast ball or choppy images where there is fast motion in sports. Hope you can shine some light on this.
Hey Q, So I’ve recently noticed there is another version of the S95B called the S95Bd with a different product number. Do you know what the difference is because the prices are the same? Thanks in advance for your help.
You’ve gotta check the ABSL in hdr gaming quantum it’s an absolute deal breaker on the 80k and 80J oleds from Sony. After four minutes of gameplay the entire screen dims and DOES NOT RESET itself. Completely sucks the life right out of the picture that you start off with. Can you please test this on a80k ?
If it wasn't about Samsung's QC issues with the S95B, I'd buy it. Heard too many stories about their TVs having problems lately. I'll go with either a LG G3, C2 or C3...
Question man is there any difference in picture quality between a80k and a90k or is just the screen size im looking for a 42” or 50” but the a90k at 48” will suite my living space just fine. It seems like there the same tv and picture quality just a different name and different screen size. What do you think man. Would you go a80k or a90k
I owned and LOVED a Sony 77A80J - but it "died" w/o any signs of trouble, it was 7months old so Sony replaced it with a new 77A80K, I LOVED it too, it"died" in 2 months, I am now waiting for a new replacement [I'd love to try again but am somewhat reluctant to take the chance] I presently have NEW Order held until I find out if they will give me a Refund on the A80J - then I'd get the Samsung 65S95B or an LG 65C2
That's the good one, better speakers, shiny gloss finish instead of matte on the screen, and EVO panel. That's what I have, and I bet that it's 95 to 97% as good as the A80k. It's not hard to get warm tones out of if you use live color and raise the colors a bit, one thing on the J model is that Rtings said that it has the some of the best out of the box color accuracy !!! Infact the 80J rated slightly better than the K on Rtings IMO. Beware of image retention on HDR games if you happen to play the same game for hours at a time.
Honest reviews as usual great work always awaiting ur next video i like sonys details but they need to fix thier damn motion so my pick would be the samsung
I love sony's motion. Its perfect for movie watching. For gaming the very smooth motion of samsung could be better. Movies should have a low frame rate thats the ideal scenario. That gives dramatic effect. Smooth motion for movies isn't ideal.
It's a shame Sony can't get their flagships right. They're also still way overpriced. Went with the 75u8h based on your recommendation. Bang for buck I can't complain.
I had a Sony oled 55a80j and it was garbage I had to return it not because was broken the colours are really bad on the TV and the Bluetooth and have a really and they have really bad USB ports I think everything from Sony on it's only overpriced garbage like apple
