Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development! It seems that Ubisoft will not cancel Beyond Good & Evil 2 after all these years. The development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 hasn't been good and was first announced in 2016. So where is it? Why haven't Ubisoft cancelled the game?

It hurts so bad. This game was my #1 most anticipated at first viewing of the trailer. Honestly, I'm not skiddish either, i play star citizen and all kind of unreleased, long developed games... but man. This one hurts. As a startup dev, my best chances of getting this game are to become successful and buy the rights myself...

By the time it gets released, it's going to have to be redone to keep up with the new releases. It would be awesome if Rockstar bought them. Their products are always well done.

the real problem with this game was an MMO online gameplay.We all want single player open world game.

It's cool how fleshed out the world is but it didn't need to be SO detailed and expansive. Maybe they could remake the first one to get a team coordinating with a unified vision. Or attempt a Shenmue Online 😅

I first played BG&E around 2007-2008 and it immediately became a favorite of mine. I replayed the shit out of it on Steam when I found out it exists there 10 years later. You can still find my review in 2017 where I'm waiting for 2 to drop 😭At this point I'm not sure I even want it since the original studio won't be involved ngl

It's basically another Duke Nukem forever at this moment. Maybe it should be scaled down and go back to basics as soon and hopefully if Ubisoft drops the rights to this title in 10 years or so.

They're keeping it for selling rights. It tells us this game is all but cancelled. Wait for someone to buy the company and boot it back up. So sad

Ancel needs the rights back from Ubi and needs to continue the trilogy he originally intended for BG&E. I never had an interest in what I saw from footage of this version, and I'm still haunted by Peyj staring at his hand in the credits of BG&E. I need to know what happens!!
