On Thursday, Canadian star footballer Tajon Buchanan officially signed with Inter Milan, becoming the first Canadian international to join Serie A. While recent years have shown nothing but promise, his early years -- which included the sudden death of his father -- were a little more unclear.

I was in the stadium in Toronto for his goal that got us to the World Cup and I was in Qatar for his amazing assist on Canada's first WC goal. What an inspirational story. Great player.

Someone his age needs playing time. Inter might not be a great fit for someone that young. I think a team in England playing in the Championship on the cusp of promotion to the Prem would have been a good choice. IE: Watford

Disagree, the championship can be a brutal journey for a young player like Tajon. Simone Inzaghi's system is a perfect fit for him, keep in mind that Denzel Dumfries has not renewed his contract yet and could be out in the summer, moreover, Cuadrado just had an operation and will be out for 3 months. There are reasons why Marotta wanted him.
