As pointed out, it would be better to respec to Sorc at level 1 to get Constitution Saving Throws proficiency. Not only that, going Wizard second will bring your Scroll Casting stat to Intelligence!
@@antoniomaurtua230 depends on what you prefer, wild magic is too much random in my opinion, then it depends if you prefer gain the free mage armour from draconic scales, access to some spells you can’t acquire otherwise (mainly armor of agathys), tempest will give you some nice mobility, and if you go for 6/6 you will have a brunch of Lightning spell for free (call Lightning for exemple) and access to the create water spell to make enemies vulnerable to Lightning and ice spells
@@keithwin3449nah man. Meta applies to group as well since the only difficulty worth talking about is honour mode. I mean, 99% of this game is knowledge but a lot of build guides on RU-vid and Reddit are chasing metas for the current patch: swords BRD, cc smn, pure healer, and open hand monk. Any variation of those are meta or off shoots of those builds (especially bard).
For the actual in game build, it's always better to start with 1 level in Sorcerer for the constitution saving throws proficiency. Furthermore, the last class added during multiclass determines the spellcasting modifier stat for spells and abilities granted from items and gear. For an Intelligence build, Wizard should go second.
Yeah watching this I feel like he skimmed the guide on Reddit for this build and then did a quick version without understanding the reason it is built the way it is.
for gloves if you dont want or cant use missle snaring there are gloves that give 2ac if you arent wearing armor or a shield if you chose not to use a shield or 1ac and 1 bardic inspiration if you arent wearing armor gloves in act 1 you can easily have 19ac with either mage armor or draconic sorc passive
Hey mate, just a heads up, anisotropic filtering is broken in the latest patches, that's why your beards look blurry, you can fix it by forcing anisotropic filtering x16 in your graphic card driver panel.
Githyanki offers shield proficiency(EDIT:no they dont) and has an incredibly good set of racial spells. Also Halfling plays into the divination RP pretty well with Lucky, which is probably the best racial in the game. I also recommend minor illusion as a must get cantrip for a control caster for its abilities to group enemies so reliably. But only 1 person in the party needs it.
@@zachbillings4151 oops. scratch that part. My bad! They do have fantastic stacked racial spells though and i think they make really good wizards. just maybe not exactly thematically appropriate.
Disagree heavily. Control is extremely important in both 5e dnd and bg3. No party is complete without a control caster. Especially with the nerfs to the bonus action economy in honor mode.
@@ayylmao752 completed honor without a single use of cc. Fighter did all the job, cleric and bard were just applying haste/other buffs and staying afk. To be fair I think the game can be easily completed by mere 4 fighters with alert feat. There are no bosses who would survive first round vs 4 fighters with a haste potion and action surge.
@@Pavel_Leonov I just think youre leaving a lot of power on the table. especially considering how strikers in this game interact with CC. for the hold spells will give you automatic crits, same with paralysis. And most other cc's will at the very least give you advantage on attack rolls. A single control caster will generate more value for a striker than they are capable of taking advantage of. Many prepared abilities by wizards and druids single handedly negate most boss fights in the game. Contrast that with strikers, who, do great damage, up until you allow your enemies to take turns, because you didn't cc them, and then they cc you, and now you went from doing a lot of damage to no damage. Don't get me wrong the game is easy. but it's rendered trivial with a single control caster in the group.

You don't have to cc enemies if you can instantly kill them. I didn't play dnd though. May be fights there are designed differently and you can't kill everybody that fast.
If you're doing a wizard build, any wizard build you always take the spells that you can not readily find scrolls for from vendors. This is basic D&D 101 shit, and these kids don't wtf they are doing most of the time...
