She’s unlike any other soloist she’s her own genre

How can a 22 year old already have such a profound understanding of how life works already? She's truly an old soul. An insanely talented one at that. She's not a K-pop idol...she's a true Korean artist at God-Deity level.

I love this so much. She was just walking in the beginning and enjoying her time and the moment she saw everyone else being in a hurry, she got pressured to keep up with their pace. Which is literally how life is as someone who is in their 20’s just trying to figure out what they want to do and what can they do in life

ANALYSIS At the beginning, Bibi is walking across a field listening to her song “Binu (Soap)”. She’s wearing a simple Korean school uniform and a pair of the Chuck 70 Archive Paint Splatter shoes, a possible symbol of teenage counterculture to what society encourages homoegenity in self expression to prevent independent thoughts. Someone made a good point that Converse are a huge part of mainstream culture, but Converse are also very popular amongst Korean high schoolers, emphasizing Bibi's role as her high school self. But I like the addition of the paint splatters since it's not super preppy or as clean cut as other Converse styles. Suddenly, people of all ages and backgrounds start running. Bibi looks around in confusion but goes along with the crowd and stops listening to her music as she begins to run, no longer interested in her music but running towards an unforseeable goal, similar to how society creates this unattainable goal of what some may consider wealth, a family, fame, etc. People are still attempting to grab hold of this in spite of age, background, etc. This may or may not(?) allude to how she felt when she was in high school when all she wanted to do was make music but everyone around her told her to do what society pushes her to do. She keeps running, this time across a bridge. Bridges are often seen as a way to overcome obstacles, as they are usually viewed as the only way to reach a destination. The blood dripping from her mouth shows her struggle and pain as she attempts to fight through these struggles to attain whatever society wanted her to achieve. She is literally tearing herself apart. Now, a spotlight is shone onto Bibi riding a bicycle. She's wearing a part-time uniform outfit. A couple of seconds later, she is no longer in the spotlight as she sits eating chocolate. Being in a spotlight can represent the idea of being focused on, seen, or recognized by others. Seeing something spot-lighted puts a highlight on that item and indicates it's something to pay attention to. This is just my take on a possibly insignificant detail, but it could criticize how society places such importance on the next generation only to leave them in the dark about what is truly expected of them and what sacrifices they might have to make. Bicycles are seen as symbols of progress and hope which Bibi rides on, but later it shows it cast aside. In a brief shot, Bibi is wearing a matching suit, as if she has grown up and is now an office worker but is running frantically across a crosswalk. She seems to run quite a lot in this film, mirroring how we have been pressured to continuously move quickly in life from getting a job to a house to a family. In another brief shot, Bibi is running from the police holding multiple pearl necklaces and other jewelry around her neck and wrists. Although pearls are often seen as attracting good luck and wealth, she gets caught, her mouth bloody. Now you see a shot where Bibi is now in a prisoner’s uniform, implying that she got caught and sent to jail. Bibi wears a wedding dress now, running frantically after her assumed spouse, crying and her makeup runny. Her wedding has gone awry, the idea of a perfect marriage which society expects her to has turned bad. Prisoner Bibi cries hysterically in front of God Bibi, saying “Why is it only me? I hate this, I hate this, I hate this! I’m not-I’m not going to do this! Please answer me!” God Bibi answers, “Life is usually like this.” Prisoner Bibi cries in defeat and bows, whether knowingly or not, to the God Bibi. She has succumbed to the inevitability of life’s dark side. (Interesting note: God Bibi has white contacts, perhaps to symbolize that she is blind to the tragedies and pain of humans?) Bibi is now in a straightjacket, implying that she has now gone crazy from her past traumas and the weight of society’s expectations. She feels suffocated and haunted, as shown in the hands of her teenage classmates grabbing at her (perhaps as haunting reminders of what she was back then) and the plastic wrap around her. Now, Bibi is pushing a shopping cart, assumed to be homeless, and she is yet again crossing a bridge, only this time, it seems to be reverse back to the field where the music video started when she was just a bright-eyed high school student. No matter what you do, you might end up back where you were. The people are back and they are running again and as Homeless Bibi attempts to run again, she falls. In the end, you see the people running, possibly meeting the same fate as Homeless Bibi, as she smiles cynically, almost as if she is either laughing at them or laughing at herself for ever thinking she could attain society’s goals. She's been on the rim of the world (the edge of the world), and on the rim of her life (edge of her life) which could allude to suicidal thoughts or the general feeling of hopelessness. I was listening to the lyrics about her being 6 feet under and 9 feet upward, and based on other people's dissections of the lyrics, it's about perspective. She could look at herself as being essentially dead and 6 feet under, or she could look at herself upside down, (6 upside down is 9), and she is actually 9 feet upward and is ready with a fresh perspective. I think the running means pass through all these standards that society put on women, Bibi represents women who works, who search for marriage because society tell this is what should be done. 현대인의 인생을 축약한게 아닐까. 뮤비 초반부에 사람들이 모두 뭔가에 쫓기듯 달리고 있음. 그 뭔가는 다름아닌 삶일 것이다. 학생인 비비는 뭣도 모르고 어리둥절하며 따라뛰고 곧 이어 회사원의 모습, 일탈하고 피 흘리며 질주하는 모습, 죄수가 되어 이름모를 신에게 고해하는 모습도 어딘가 우리에게 익숙함.. 인생은 원래 뭐같다는 신의 한마디가 영상을 축약해주는게 아닌가싶다.. 결국 낙오되어 쓰러졌지만 영상이 뒤집어져 바닥을 바라보는 연출은 그만큼 인생이 고달프고 나락이라는걸 보여준다. 비비가 쓰러졌음에도 다들 저 살기 바쁜 사람들의 뜀걸음.. 인생이 무언가 다시금 되새겨줘서 감사합니다 비비. 더 크게 될 사람..
