I arrive at the doctor about 10 minutes before. The blood pressure cuff gets so tight my fingers go numb. It hurts and I believe that causes my pressure to go up

#1 Stress for sure can run B/P high and anxiety,But I have learned that you put all your cares on Jesus because He cares for you and no need to worry about what you cannot change.I have had high Blood Pressure since my teens and after 12 stents and a few natural things like Hawthorn Berry capsules and some Nattokinase taken twice a day have had no problems with B/P being high even when I get nervous from white coat syndrome it's still normal.

Wish I could find a doctor like you in my area. Since the military and beyond the doctors always want to give me medications that do more harm than helping. I always end up in the ICU on the meds sometimes I have to call 911 immediately upon taking the meds. My doctors have given up because I can't take the meds without going to the ER. So I have turned to God and am trying to find natural ways. I am glad to hear you say, cut back on meats. I may need to cut them out altogether. This year I am going to try hunting and see if that helps by having meats without all the chemicals.

The idea of giving out a Biblical Prescription is a very good one indeed. Just a few suggestions : The cause of essential hypertension is mainly Insulin Resistance as a result of Hyperinsulinemia. The cause of Hyperinsulinemia is a diet too high in carbohydrates. In the bible, we are told to eat seed-bearing plants or vegetables. From the nutritional components of these foods, we found that carbohydrates represent only about 10% or less of the total calories consumed. This is in marked contrast with the US dietary gudeline (a man-made one which deviates from God's design) which recommends over 50%. Continuously high carbohydrate intake leads to sustained high insulin level & subsequent Insulin Resistance. Hyperinsulinemia cause excessive loss of magnesium in urine & reduced excretion of salt It is high insulin that cause salt retention, not so call "excessive" salt intake as adovated by the mainstream "earthy" medical community. The lack of magnessium made the artry constrict, which is another reason why people have high blood pressure. God did NOT lay down so many restriction for us when he made us. All we need to do is to obey his instruction on what foods to eat. Even if we cannot always do so, at least we try to understand what nutrients are found in the foods God designed for us & we eat accordingly, i.e. a low carbohydrate diet. Another important recommendation that may need to be incorporated is the portion. While most people know that it is good to take Vegetable, they take too little. When God made us, he wanted us to take seed-bearing plant (or vegetables) as our major food, not a complement to a diet that is made up of mainly meat. We can eat meat according to the Bible, but God has laid down very clear requirement for the meat. Unfortunately, these requirements are NOT observed today in most countries except Israel. Meat does not have antioxidant, unlike plant-based foods, which have a lot of antioxidiants. Antioxidants are important to preserve Nitric Oxide, which is a key signaling molecule for blood vessel to remain dilate, thus another important component of optimal blood pressure control. In fact, almost all chronic diseases today are related to our diet (too much carbohydrate) & lifestyle change (stay late in the evening, not enough Melatonin secretion). Perhaps, going forward, this channel could focus more on the link between Bible teachings & our modern day disease, instead of following earthy medical community wisdom (e.g. salt intake restriction) which may NOT be true.
