Thank you for making this video and sharing how to treat biceps tendinitis. I’ve been stretching my patients and am starting to have pain in my biceps tendon. I was having trouble figuring out why. This helped me understand what’s happening. I have a fused wrist and have to adjust for that by moving at my shoulder. I’m overloading this tendon…I had hardly any internal rotation when I checked. But after watching the entire video I tested my ROM again and my ROM is much improved, my pain has almost resolved. Now I’m going to go find a ball and work on those other areas.

Great video! I’ve been hampered with upper bicep tendonitis on and off for two years. Flares up if I surf multiple days in a row. Once flares up, takes at least a couple weeks to simmer down enough to surf again. Previous physio focused on scapular strengthening which didn’t make sense to me because I surf so much my scapula is probably strong. I did the lacrosse ball stretch between shoulde blade and spine and instantly felt the upper bicep tendon wake up. I suspect my issue is lack of mobility not lack Of strength. Thanks!

Your story is identical to mine up to performing the ball stretch exercises. I will start them tonight and hopefully, get the same happy ending as your story.

just found your channel, im about to watch the video and i am really hoping i will find it helpful, because i have been suffering for abouth 1 year and a half, stopped working out, lost a lot of muscle and this just makes my life so much unhappier compared to when i used to workout regulary.

i would like to note, the pain is not big its tolerable easily, but its just enough to stop me from going to the gym or doing calisthenics.

Just the once a day can really help but it depends how it makes you feel. More each day if it's helping, less if it's slower going!

First thing I saw that didn't tell me to smash my bicep tendon lol. Well done, I tried this specifically the ball on upper back muscles and immediately relieved tightness in the bicep tendon. Hoping i can continue this until the tendon heals . Let me ask you just one additional question. Whats your take on upper back braces for posture alignment ?

Glad to hear it’s helping mate! There’s always a reason why something becomes dysfunctional and that bicep tendon is often a consequence of something else. In terms of postural braces, for me they are like any piece of equipment - can be hugely helpful in the short term but ultimately the goal needs to be to also work hard on any stiffness, tightness, or weakness involved so you can eventually get rid of it for good.

Hi grant! Could a biceps tendonitis cause symptoms in and around the shoulder when doing handstands or dips?

It's possible mate! Usually a biceps tendon issue will present with some tenderness at the front of the shoulder. It should be easy enough to feel for to if someone digs in and hunts around

I f.. my shoulder biceps doing an app routine lift 4 training. Trying to find all the info I can so I can get rid of this pain and come back to train. Thanks for all the info, my problem is indeed , I believe lack of prop mobility .

When I do the 2nd exercise with the ball when I bring my arm up to come in-line with my head I feel a impingement type of pain that I’ve only felt with the ball in my traps is that the point i should oscillate from? The pain isn’t intense just noticeable feels more like a odd sensation like I shouldn’t be doing it
